Ooh these are all good questions!! This one might be a bit of a long answer lol.

Oh goodness, I've read a lot of fics... This one is a hard one...

Well, I answered an ask a few months ago, when someone asked me my favorite fanfics, if you'd like to look at it ^^ and to actually answer your question, um... Well, my favorite fanfic changes monthly, as I am reading so many fics currently!! So, for now, I'll give you my top three!

Becasue I have so many fics to read, I'm sure those will change soon enough. Ask me again in a month, and my answer will be different! ^^

Ok, to answer your second question, when writing, practice makes perfect. Pay really close attention to the past and present tense, and keep them from getting mixed up. You can't be using "is", and then "was", if you know what I mean. Often while I write, I'll listen to it, like in audio book format. Our minds are really good at telling us what good grammar is supposed to sound like, and surprisingly bad at reading it. If you listen to what you write, you'll be able to pick out typos mistakes, and even identity your writing style!!

Now, as for suggestions for writing angst, I'd say pay really close attention to the angst you see in other fanfics. How is pain described? How is emotional damage described? You'd be surprised to find a lot of those descriptions, (such as pain so intense it feels cold, or emotions so heavy, you fall to the floor) are actually correct. I find a lot of fanfic writers, when it comes to pain, and emotional pain, write from a place they've been before. Meaning personal experience.

Now, it sorta sucks, but nothing really cuts it like personal experience. So, if you've ever gone through anything traumatic, physical, or emotional, use that and write with that energy. It'll translate into true passionate writing!!

Also, yes, I have written fanfics before!! Multiple in fact!! I used to be a part of the Undertale UTMV fandom, so I've got multiple oneshots written from then. I'm also currently in the process of writing multiple tmnt fanfics ^^ I absolutely adore writing!!

Well, it depends on the iteration of tmnt we're talking about. If we're talking about rottmnt, yes, he's my favorite boy ^^

Y'know, its interesting. When I first started watching rottmnt, he was my least favorite turtle XD I hated him! He was the idiot of the team. Then, I sorta grew to like him. Once I saw the Rise Movie, I was sold.

I think, out of all of the turtles, He's the one I relate to the most. While of course, I could relate to any of the turtles, there was always a something that kept them being a little to different. Like Raph being a gymbro, Mikey being the youngest, or Donnie being the tech guy. Little personality quirks that just didn't match up. Leo reminds me a lot of my teenage self. Loud, confidant, not ok lol. So, as I delved into the fandom, and saw all this delicious content of my poor boy, I was completely hooked!!

One more reason why he's my favorite. You're gonna laugh at this one lol.

He's pretty.

Yup!! Especially when drawn in my art style!! I have a fascination with making characters look glamorous, and I particularly feel like I decided he was my favorite when I drew him for the first time, and he was the prettiest out of his brothers.

I feel like part of my answer is pretty stereotypical, yet, that's part of the reason why we folks gravitate together. We see a traumatized blorbo, scream "HE JUST LIKE ME FR!!" then band together to write and draw about it lol

FIRST QUESTION (I think)

What are your favorite fanfic tropes or just stuff you like to see in fics?

Oh my goodness, that was fast!! I only posted the 100 subs announcement a minute or so ago!! You are the first question!!

Ooh, I love the incredibly angsty and dark fics!! Don't get me wrong, while I do enjoy a good fluffy fic, I completely adore incredibly dark plotlines. Especially ones with heavy psychology in them. I love psychology lol.

Quick TW for what I'm about to talk about!!

I love psychological torture, poor mental health, characters struggling with addictions and their lives, suicide stories, anything with a deep intense plotline. Basically, the extra mature stuff lol (not so much sexual in nature on the romantic side, though I wouldn't say no to a r*pe story. As long as its not T*cest). Really controversial topics, and such.

I also enjoy fics that are incredibly high in suspense, like horror stories, or mysteries, or high stakes adventures!

To continue, for the boys, I love big brother Raph!! I'm an oldest sibling, so its really nice to see that representation!

I also really love the disaster twins!! Particularly, I love how the twins, aren't really twins, but they are also at the same time, twins. It just makes sense! Its actually relatable, because I have a sibling who looks incredibly identical to me, and despite being different ages, people mistake us for twins all the time XD

Though one thing that is always something I love in fanfic, are metaphors, poetic writing, similes, and such. I love it when writers get creative with descriptions, and really go into depth with the analogies, and imageries!!

"I'm quite partial to the Legend of Zelda mangas. Though, I love Fablehaven, and Eragon ^^ Its been a while since I've read a real book, as I've been super immersed in fanfics lol"

"To be honest, it was probably Pokemon. I though it was the coolest thing ever!! I watched quite my fair share. Besides that?... Hm... Peep and The Big Wide World. Heck, that show was so good, I still quote it today!! XD"

"OOOOOOOOOOHHHH I CAN"T DECIDE!! I really love obsidian, but I don't know if that count as a gemstone. My grandma is a rockhound, so I learned some cool rock and gem facts from her. Hhhhhh, I also love bismuth, I have a really cool piece of bismuth in my room, but that's more metal than gemstone!! Perhaps and opal? I love how they're reflective like oil on a puddle. If not, than an emerald. ^^"

"Art, and psychology. I'm in college right now ^^"

"Actually, right now I work at Home Depot on the freight team! I'm a night worker! I stocks shelves, and help unload the truckloads of product we get nightly. "I love animals in general, as they're so precious! Though, my favorite animal is a red fox. They're very noisy, and cheeky and playful XD besides that, I'm a huge cat person lol and I currently own two cats!

"Man, you're gonna think this is either crazy, or awesome. I've got a few favorites, but they're kinda niche. The Kirin, the Nuckelavee, the Ningens, Wendigos, the fae, and of course, Paddler who lives in Lake Pend Oreille (Pronounced Pond or lay. Yeah, i know its pronounced really weird, pretty sure its French). If you don't know who Paddler is, he's basically like another loch ness monster, who lives in a different place. You might wanna look some of these creatures up if you're curious, but be warned, some of them are pretty scary in appearance. Then, if I absolutely had to give a basic answer, is a faerie dragon allowed? They're so precious!!"

Would you want to be someone else instead of yourself?

"If you asked me that a year ago, I would have said yes. Though, right now, I'm quite content with being myself ^^"

"Yup. Some pretty serious ones actually. I had smiling depression for a very long time, among other issues that were pretty bad."

"I have not been officially diagnosed, though I have done an insane amount of research, and can confidently say that I'm high sensory, and have ADHD ^^ Not sure about autism, pretty sure not, but we'll see in a few years when I eventually have the time and money to get diagnosed lol"

"That is something I used to wonder a lot about when I was younger, but as I grew not as much. I think, life just makes more sense to me now. In a way I suppose."

Oh gosh, I am such a cartoon person lol. Think, Gravity Falls, Owl House, Amphibia, Steven Universe, Adventure Time, The Cuphead Show, and Obviously Tmnt. I also really enjoy indie shows, like Lackadaisy, Helluva Boss, and The Amazing Digital Circus.

Hmm... I don't watch as many movies, as I'm more of a seasons and series person, but I LOVE The Rise Movie, Mutant Mayhem, and of course Spiderverse lol.

Ok, so I'm in and have been in multiple fandoms. Right now I'm really only a part of the TMNT fandom, but I used to be a HUGE Undertale Multiverse fan!! Like, it was my biggest obsession for years!! Then before that, I was into sonic, and before that, Spiderman, and before that, The Legend of Zelda, and before that, Super Paper Mario. I do believe I was in the Zelda and Mario fandoms for the longest. I practically grew up on Zelda lol, so I know I TON about it XD

Out of the 90+ fanfics in my inbox, I'd have to say, only two or three asks have duplicate ones. But that's asks rather than fanfics. I do have over 90+ fanfics in my inbox, all in varying lengths. They all range from oneshots, to stories with 50+ chapters, and even multiple arcs!!

I've wanted to do a lot of things as I've gotten older, but currently, I want to be an art therapist. I am obsessed with psychology, and adore drawing, so why not do both?? If not an art therapist, then maybe someone who evaluates people for ADHD or Autism. Pretty much something where I'll be able to help people out with their mental health.

Yes, I have. For years and years actually. The meanest person in my life for the longest time, was actually myself. A cruel critique who said I didn't deserve to live, and only deserved to be in pain. I don't know how much you're comfortable with hearing, so I won't go into detail (though I am fine talking about it). I've worked incredibly hard on myself to learn self love, which has translated over into my love for psychology, and mental health. It makes me sad to know that people feel like how I used to, every day, and all the time.

Favorite turtle species? Hmm… for the rottmnt boys, probably the red eared slider, as they actually have them where I live and whenever I see one while hiking, I yell “Look it’s Leo!!” XD Then, as for my favorite turtle species, I dunno... If It has a colorful shell, I love it ^^

For my favorite iteration, that's tough. I really love both rottmnt and 2012, though I'd probably have to pick rottmnt, as its the first tmnt iteration I watched. Plus, I love how bright and chaotic it is!!

Well, you already know that I won't rate T*cest, nor Oc X Canon stories.

I'm somewhat uncomfortable with Timatello, and anything where Yuichi and/or Usagi are the main characters. I'm not really a fan of them. Also, not a fan of Leosagi or Leochi. Anything with those rabbits... Sorry ^^:

If the shipping is the main focal point of the fic, its not really my favorite, but in passing or in mention, yeah I'm cool with that.

I don't want to deprive authors of a chance to send in their wonderful fics, especially, as I recognize that these ships are probably very dear to some folks! But these ships are really not my cup of tea ^^;
