A Quick Lil Blurb about 𝑬𝑵𝑫𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑵𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻

I've posted my first ever chapter to my first ever Tumblr fic! Whoohoo!🎉

It's called 𝑬𝑵𝑫𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑵𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻 (AKA EnNi), and I've been working on it for quite some time now because ultimately as I was writing it quickly became a two part story.

The sequel (a WIP but currently going to remain untitled for now) are both inspired by snippets from poet William Blake. The title for 𝑬𝑵𝑫𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑵𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻 comes from his work Auguries of Innocence, which touches heavily on the duality of mankind’s highs and lows. (I encourage you to read it in its entirety HERE.)

I felt like it fit 𝑬𝑵𝑫𝑳𝑬𝑺𝑺 𝑵𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑻 so well because sometimes/for some people the world is laid at your feet from day one, but for others it is a constant struggle for survival that never seems to end.

For my fem!OC/reader, it is a bit of both, which makes her life bittersweet … but you can’t expect much from the world that’s been ravaged by a mushroom apocalypse, can you? These two insanely lengthy fics explore themes of grief, loss, persistence, and self-actualization.

I plan to have a moodboard for each chapter as well as a corresponding shitpost and maybe a shitpost teaser for upcoming chatpers bc I’m just a ♥🅂🄸🄻🄻🅈♥ 🄻🄸🄻 ♥🅂🅃🄸🄽🄺🄴🅁♥.

This fic contains some pretty gross shitfuckery around the notion of consent due to a fucking incubus. I ship those two asexual, which particularly in the smut-heavy medium of fanfic is a sometimes painful place to work from, given the expectations and judgements of the world we live in. Basically: If you want to have sex, great, lovely, more power to you, be kind and be safe and have fun. If you don't want to have sex, great, lovely, more power to you, be kind and be safe and have fun. Just never try to make someone else do the one you don't want to (that very much goes for emotional manipulation as well as physical force) and don't judge them for their choices because it is not okay or cool.

Hello luv, sorry to bother you but are you going to update the dmc fanfic? The one where Nero lives with his dad (forgot the name) and Dante and Vergil we're basically girls? I'm really hooked and I can't wait to read more. ^^

It's not a bother. I'm glad you're enjoying the story so much. I hope you don't mind but I think your ask is a good opportunity to give a bit of a status update on myself and my stories. The short answer to your question is yes but probably not until next year. The longer answer is under the cut.

So I know I haven't written nearly as much this year as compared to previous years. I have a few reasons for that. The first is that I am in graduate school! It's very exciting but also very stressful and my free time is so much more limited right now. I've been told that this semester will be the worst in my grad school career and God, I hope so because this is killer. The second is that I have another fic I'm currently committed to. It's for Fandom Trumps Hate and has absolutely gotten away from me in terms of length. As I have limited free time and it's due at the end of the year, it is my current priority. I have no intention of abandoning any of my series but these factors have forced me to put them on pause, most likely until the new year. However, like I did this year, my resolution for next year will be to complete three fics that have been put on the back burner. If the next story in the Auguries of Innocence series is what people want to see, it can jump to the top of the list. So I'm sorry that I have to make people wait for the stories but I promise, they're coming. I just ask for your patience, understanding, and faith that I will put out the best story I can, as quickly as I can.
