* I made this book while on a cruise years ago from the daily itinerary left in my room each day. I couldn’t stand throwing all that paper away, what a waste that would’ve been. I've been a little depressed the past couple weeks but I'm seeing the end in sight. I’m kicking this blue mood to the curb cuz I don’t have anymore time to waste on it. I am starting to feel much better because I have much to look forward to as I'll be teaching at Whidbey Island next month and I'll be teaching a lovely group of women in my home come September. Also, Albuquerque in November!!! Woohoo! I’ve been missing in person events so much, I’m looking forward with an open heart to gathering with like-minded creatives to share inspiration and community. * The possibilities are endless and sometimes that makes it difficult to make choices. Some teachers suggest picking the papers that speak to you, but what if all the papers speak to you? In my opinion, it's time to put them all in a brown paper bag, give the bag a good shake, then close your eyes, pull out 3, 5 or 7 papers and stick with those pieces. • This little 2x3 inch friend is the first little book I created, it was the inspiration for my other little books. I learned how to make this book in Redondo Beach where @orlyavineri once lived. The binding was taught by a student she was encouraging to teach, then Orly put a really satisfying end to the workshop on the last day by teaching us what we could put inside. Pure magic.
