Ignis reached up to pull his glasses off, and pinched the bridge of his nose with his other hand. Somehow, he had believed that working from home would be less stressful than going into the office. Thus far, he’d been proven wrong. Today just seemed to be the day for urgent matters, as well as various departments within the Citadel making demands of him.
He squinted at the screen of his laptop, scowling, trying to decide whether the tone of his latest interdepartmental email was too rude, or just the right amount of rude. The head of facilities maintenance had come to him to demand that Ignis badger the treasury department for increased funding to perform repairs on fiber optic conduit that fed into the guest apartments. Ignis had typed out a reply that stated, in short, that he had no sway over the budget in such matters. His job was to handle the affairs of His Highness, and relevant political and security issues.
That didn’t stop everyone in the Citadel with the least amount of authority from expecting Ignis to solve all of their problems. It didn’t help that, occasionally, he did have to step in to handle various problems that should have been outside of his purview. Problems that no one else seemed inclined or qualified to take charge of.
He reached for the track pad, hovering the cursor over the Send button. Certainly, his reply was too harsh. It would be unworthy of him to deride an employee of the Citadel. Heaving a long sigh, he closed out the window, and sat back in his desk chair and dragged his hands down his face, then replaced his glasses on his nose.
“You okay in there, babe?”
Prompto’s voice. Ignis sat up straight, and turned his chair toward the door where his boyfriend stood. He felt a little thrill to see Prompto there, wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, so comfortable and casual in their shared apartment. The arrangement was so new that it still felt a bit strange, but in an exciting way.
“I’m fine,” Ignis said, then reconsidering, “Just…a bit frustrated.”
It wasn’t in his nature to admit to feeling overwhelmed, but he was trying to do better in that respect. To not hide things or hold things back from Prompto, of all people.
Prompto’s brows rose, and he took a step into their home office.
“Oh yeah? Why don’t you take a break?” he asked.
Ignis opened his mouth to say that he shouldn’t, that he ought to focus, but Prompto widened his eyes, imploring. It was an expression that Ignis had never been able to say no to, even before they’d begun their relationship.
So, what he said instead was, “All right. But only if you’ll join me.”
A sweet, delighted grin unfurled across Prompto’s face. He fairly bounced across the room, holding his hands out to Ignis, who allowed himself to be pulled to his feet. They went across the hall to their bedroom, where Prompto abruptly stopped and turned around. Ignis arched a questioning brow at him, then breathed a soft laugh as Prompto reached up and removed his glasses for him.
Ignis settled himself on the bed as Prompto carefully set his glasses aside. When Prompto turned to him again, he opened his arms in invitation. With a grin, Prompto clambered up onto the bed and flopped down on top of Ignis, a heavy but reassuring weight. He laid there a moment, an ungainly pile of limbs, then he lifted up and shifted himself into a more comfortable position. With his head tucked beneath Ignis’ chin, arms settled around his shoulders, legs intertwined, Prompto finally relaxed with a heavy, contented sigh.
“Comfortable, are we?” Ignis asked, winding his arms around Prompto’s back and blowing a tuft of yellow hair away from his mouth.
“Mmh,” Prompto hummed against his collarbones.
Ignis pressed his mouth into a thin line to hide a smile, unnecessary considering their positions. He exhaled slowly and closed his eyes, and allowed the tension stored in his body to ease away.
For a few minutes they were both silent, breathing in tandem. Ignis thought that Prompto must be well on his way to dozing off, until his boyfriend spoke in a warm murmur.
“Can I tell you something, Iggy?” he asked, a measure of shyness in his voice.
“Of course,” Ignis said, smoothing a hand down his back. “There’s nothing you can’t tell me, love.”
Prompto laughed softly, his chest heaving against Ignis’.
“Well, it’s kinda corny,” he hedged, “But I just feel really safe with you, y’know? Just really comfortable. I know that’s probably silly to say now, ‘cause we’re already living together, but…yeah.”
Ignis blinked several times, his throat and chest feeling too full for words for several long seconds before he could manage to speak.
“That’s not silly,” he said. “Not in the least. In fact, I could say the same of you."
Prompto rose up on his elbows, looking down at Ignis with an open, hopeful look on his face. Ignis reached up to stroke a freckled cheek, cherishing the pink flush that rose beneath Prompto’s skin.
“Really?” Prompto asked. “I make you feel safe?”
“Is that so surprising?” Ignis asked him, lifting his hand to run his fingers through Prompto’s soft, blond locks. “I have to be the Royal Advisor for so many people, even for Noct and Gladiolus to some extent. You’re the only one for whom I need only be ‘Ignis.’ I’ve no need to keep my guard up around you, because I know I can trust you with every part of me, even those I keep hidden.”
Something trembled in Prompto’s expression, and he settled back down, tucking his face into Ignis’ neck.
“Good,” he said, voice slightly muffled. “I’m…I’m really glad I can make you feel that way, Iggy. I love you.”
“I love you, as well,” Ignis said, his chest swelling with affection. He hugged Prompto securely to his chest, and closed his eyes once more.

i'm in the process of enrolling in a work apprenticeship program for carpentry at a trade school and i'm really excited about it
i was hoping they might have summer classes, but classes don't start until august
but i've spent all my time since i left camp in 2018 just struggling to stay afloat and survive and working in food service. which hasn't been all bad, there's been times and people i've really enjoyed and i'm grateful for the experiences. but largely it has not been at all what i want to be spending my time doing. i just didn't know how to get out of it and didn't have the energy to try, because i have also spent all this time being incredibly depressed
but im finally at a place where a) i am aware of options besides continuing to do the thing i have experience doing, Or somehow find time and money to go and get a degree and b) i finally have a job i hate so fucking much i have got to get the fuck out of here
anyways point being
i actually feel hopeful about the future and feel like i am finally going to start doing something i care about doing. meaningful financial stability is within my grasp.
i am going to learn skills i can use to better my environment! after i become an apprentice, I plan to take classes specific to cabinetry and furniture building because that is the type of carpentry i'm interested in doing and that will hopefully not degrade my body further than it already is. unfortunately the program closest to me is largely involved with framing for houses and stuff
when i felt like i was just going to be trapped in food service and barely making enough to get by, i pretty much completely gave up on my goal (a mustang rescue & outreach program, where my facility is also a lesson & boarding facility because i have to make money somehow). but this will give me skills i can use to do that. because now i just need to afford a plot of land, and i'll have the skills and abilities to build my own house and barn and do my own fencing and it will be exactly as i need it to be
and if this program & field is anything like the apprenticeship program my brother is in (fiber optic cable installation), the pay is better than any job i've had before, including when i was a supervisor. and i can actually save money for once in my life
point being. i am hopeful for my future for the first time in 7 years. and it feels really, really good.

The company had clocked a net profit of Rs 42.05 crore in the same period a year ago.

This includes enhancing their product mix, focusing on building share in international markets and investing in capacity increase. “We are in the process of expanding our capacities for rope production, focusing on high-end ropes, specialized wires and also LRPC. We have capital expenditure planned to the tune of approximately Rs.285 Crore and expect to complete our expansion programme over the next 12-15 months”, Rajeev Jhawar Usha Martin said.

After digging out cars at Ocean State Yard over on the Davisville Branch half of the railroad they headed over to the Quonset side and assembled their train in the new Mill Creek Yard before continuing east down the line to work mainstay customer, Toray Plastics. After crossing Roger Williams Ave. they are now inside the plant that features five stub ended tracks. As described by their own web site: 'Founded in 1985, Toray Plastics (America), Inc., is a leading innovator in polypropylene, polyester, and polyolefin technology and operates three state-of-the-art facilities. Our headquarters in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, is home to two facilities. There we manufacture cast and mono- and biaxially-oriented polypropylene film, biaxially-oriented polyester film, and bio-based films, and conduct in-house metallizing and coating. Our films are used for industrial, packaging, lidding, graphic, optical, and electronic applications.' Parent company Toray Industries is headquartered in Tokyo and was founded in 1926 as a Rayon Yarn Production Company.
