Another redraw of another old work. Can you believe I used to copy and paste the same drawing of Eduardo so I wouldn’t have to draw him again?

Peachy-Keen
"It was ten years ago exactly when Nic’s life changed.
Leaned against what he didn’t know was 'Railroad property,' in blood-soaked Gunner uniforms, barely thinking straight. He thought it was his end, until Deacon came out of (what seemed like) nowhere."
。゚☁︎。 ☀︎ 。゚☁︎
another fic, this time nobody dies or tries to die. writing gunner!nic is so fun bc i can make his mind a mess on accident yet it still works for him. this is also much shorter than FHIF, so if ure on a time crunch its my pleasure. hope u enjoy!!

"I'm..."
Eduardo wasn't quite sure what to introduce himself as. Tio Eddie did have a pretty good ring to it. But was that right?
There wasn't a familial word for "Imaginary Friend of a child's parent," but then again, most Imaginary Friends didn't stick around long enough to even be aware their creators had children at all, let alone hold them in their arms.
For that, Eduardo considered himself very lucky to have a friend like Nina who still cared.
Maybe, for now, he could start with that.
"...I'm your Mama's best friend in the whole wide world..."
She yawns, not caring for much else but sleep. It's tiring work, being a baby.
"...when you're big enough, I'd like to be your friend too."
Some old art that's technically a redraw of some even older art.
It's still my absolute favorite drawing of Eduardo, though.
Imagine me posting Foster's Home art again on tumblr in 2023 lol

Hi! You reblogged a post with one of my drawings, the FHIF/Chalkzone crossover one. I know the post is three years old but I only just found out about it (made my tumblr account just last month). I've already asked the original poster to delete/private the post because I'd rather not have my art spread around except through my blog. Could you please do the same?
are you able to link me the reblog i made? i can't find it

Let Me Tell You The Story Of A Rainbow - Chapter 11
Previous Chapter
Murr: Ahaha! He ate it!
Rutile: I-I can make more, so it's okay! <Ortonik>…
Shino: Nah. Good job, Mithra.
Akira: Huh?
Arthur: Yes, well done. See, Miss Luca? Nothing bad happened to him when he ate those little stars, and wouldn't you say he looks like he's doing just fine?
Luca: …
The sudden shower of attention made Luca shrink back and turn her eyes down to the ground. But this time, it wasn't because she was scared--she was just confused.
Akira: Miss Luca… Would you mind if I had one, too?
Her round, lavender eyes blinked at me twice. I delicately picked up a single star of Rutile's freshly remade sugar out of her palm and brought it to my mouth.
Akira: …Mm, tasty. Rutile's sugar has such a gentle flavor.
Rutile: Oh, it does? I'm so happy to hear that.
Luca had watched the entire process, and then turned her attention back to the sugar in her palm. She hesitated for another moment, and then gingerly pinched a piece between two fingers. Her hand trembled just a little bit as she brought it to her mouth. The star of sugar tumbled into her little mouth, making a cute little noise as it went.
Luca: …! It's good…
And just like that, Luca's expression bloomed like a flower in spring. The tension the rest of us had been holding onto, the worry that she wouldn't like it, melted away, leaving only our gentle happiness behind.
Aslan: Luca…
Rutile: Thank goodness! I'm so happy I could make you smile, Luca. I think that lovely smile of yours is better than even the sweetest sugar at making someone's day better.
Arthur: I agree. She's looking a bit healthier, too.
Heathcliff: Yeah, the color's back in her cheeks… I'm glad you're feeling better, Miss Luca.
Aslan: Thank you…thank you, all of you. It's been a while since I saw her like this, too. Aren't you happy, Luca? Everyone's being so nice.
Shino: That was nothing. Check this out.
With a flick of his magic, Shino picked up the picture book on the floor and presented it to Luca. Even the ivy had stopped its wiggling around.
Shino: Here. This is your precious book, right?
Luca: …Yeah. Thank you.
Shino: Heh. You're welcome.
Murr: Hey, where's that sparkly stuff from earlier?
Heathcliff: Sparkly stuff?
Murr: The stuff that was sparkling with, like, a billion colors. Didn't you all see it?
Akira: The rainbow-y…magic powdery stuff?
Murr: Yeah, that stuff! Where'd it all disappear to?
Luca: Ah…
Luca hugged her book tightly to her chest, once again trying to hide herself against Aslan's back.
Murr: Then let's give her even more sugar! <Eanul Lambru>
Murr recited his spell, and suddenly sugar started spilling from the ceiling. It was a rain that shone like the morning’s glow. It was an endless shower of shooting stars. It was flower petals dancing in the capricious spring breeze. And those raindrops, those stars, those flower petals, fell gently down to Luca.
Luca: …!!
Luca gasped. She stared up at the ceiling, and the flickering, sparkling stars were reflected in her eyes. The wizards' expressions were all ones of wonder. And I simply couldn't pull my eyes away from Luca's. Next to me, Rutile's gaze had also been captured by the girl before us; the two of them had had a shining, sparkling meeting, and he didn't want to miss a moment of her joy and wonder.
Murr: Hey, tell me.
Luca: …Um…
Oz: Has something happened?
Arthur: Lord Oz.
Luca: …!
Luca gasped and promptly scampered away, her silver hair disappearing down the hall.
Akira: Miss Luca…!
Aslan: …I-I'm so sorry! Please excuse me.
Aslan bowed his head and then ran after Luca.
Murr: Whaaaat? And she seemed so interested in sugar, too. Maybe Oz's face was just too scary for a sweet little girl?
Shino: Who cares about that. What are we going to do with this ocean of sugar? It's covering the whole floor.
Akira: Y-you're right, it really is!
Arthur: Let's get to cleaning it up right now. There are still other guests here, too…
Mithra: Fhif kind of cleaninf ifn't fo bad. Crunch crunch crunch.
Heathcliff: Huh? Um, could you repeat that, please…?
Rutile: He said, "This kind of cleaning isn't so bad!" Thank goodness!
Murr: Just use magic to deal with everything in front of you and we'll be done in half a second. <Eanul Lambru>!
Oz: …
As Murr chanted his spell, I saw Oz to one side, staring in the direction where Luca had run off.
Akira: What's wrong, Oz?
Oz: I felt something strange from that girl. Like something that was meant to be there is missing… Or perhaps that what is meant to be there has yet to even bud.
Akira: What has yet to bud…?
Oz: The origin of all magic… Her heart.
I slowly rolled Oz's words back and forth in my mind. He observed my rumination and shook his head, his long ponytail echoing his motions.
Oz: This is merely conjecture. Magic comes from the heart. Sage. That man with the amber eyes told you things about that girl, did he not? It is difficult for a young wizard to control the strength of their magic. It is possible for most anything to invite discord into their heart. The twins are the ones in charge of managing this exhibition's security. It would be wise to inform them of what has transpired here.
✦✧☾✧✦
Luca: Hey, Roxy. Have you heard of "sugar"? Wizards make it. It's like a sparkly little lump that looks like a star. I wonder if I can make it, too. But I've never made it, so I don't know how to make it… Hey, Roxy… The inside of my head feels like it's full of cotton, and I just…can't seem to calm down. There's no more days left. Even though I still need to finish this book. Even though Aslan's worked so hard to get us here. I don't know what I want to do. Because if I finish this book… I've always thought of my time here as being tucked inside the shell of a warm egg, but now the warmth is inside of me. I wonder what the line between "inside" and "outside" is. Where is it? If I stay here, will I melt into this world, the way candy melts inside my mouth? Like sweet, sweet candy. Like the sugar I ate earlier… It was sweet…and crunchy…and sparkly… I want more…more…
✦✧☾✧✦
Snow: I see, I see… So the world within her picture books is not her fantasies, nor is it the result of her research.
White: It is what this girl, Luca, has seen with her own two eyes.
After returning to the manor, Oz, Arthur, Rutile, and I reported to the twins what had happened.
Akira: Yes. I didn't hear it directly from her, but I did hear it from her guardian, Mister Aslan. It's a special power she's had ever since she was born…
Rutile: We even saw her staring into empty space like something was there. She called it "Roxy".
Snow & White: Roxy?
Rutile: Look at this.
Rutile opened the picture book, and the world within unfolded from its pages. The rainbow-colored not-quite-butterfly took flight.
Rutile: This darling here is Roxy. In this book, she's the protagonist's dear friend…
White: My goodness… This is truly a creature worthy of being called a phantom. "Roxy" is most likely just a name the girl gave to it, but this is a species that is thought to have gone extinct.
White: It's exceptionally rare. Very few records of it exist, and sightings are scarce.
Akira: I see… I think that this "Roxy" is still at Miss Luca's side.
Rutile: Yeah, the real Roxy, not the one in this book…
White: Mm. What do you think, Oz? You saw the girl yourself.
Oz: Her magic is not particularly strong, but there is a peculiar air about her. It would not be strange for her to have such a talent.
Snow & White: Oho…
✦✧☾✧✦
Shylock: I see… So it's because she's seen it with her own two eyes that she can craft such a delicately elaborate world.
The news of Luca's special skill circulated through the manor in the blink of an eye. It was the hottest topic in Shylock's bar that evening.
Shylock: I'm terribly intrigued by the concept that she can see a world that no one else can ever know. I'd like to talk to her, given the opportunity.
Shylock inhaled the fragrant smoke from his pipe, his eyes narrowing in pleasure, his mouth curling into a smile. It was such a bewitching expression on him I felt my heart skip a beat.
Shylock: Master Sage? Your face is red. Have you managed to intoxicate yourself without a single drop of alcohol?
Akira: Oh, n-no! I, um…
Rustica: I believe I know what it was, Shylock. It was your very own intoxicating smile.
Bradley: Yeah, I'd say that flavor's a bit too strong for a kid's palate.
Shylock: Oh my, what an honor. Then shall I give you a special service?
Bradley eyed the glass Shylock was offering and grinned, the curves of his sharp canines catching the light.
Bradley: Hey now, bartender. What are you plannin' on doin' to me, bringin' out liquor that strong?
Shylock: Why, I plan to guide you to the world of a most pleasant kind of intoxication. You're not one to let yourself be swallowed up by your drink, after all.
Bradley: Sounds like an interestin' way to pass the time. Sure, I'll let you lead me by the hand.
Bradley took his new drink, swirling it in his glass, and then downed it. At the other end of the counter, far away from the drinking competition, was Faust.
Faust: I admit I wasn't expecting Luca Carroll to be a wizard so…young.
Rustica: Nor was I. Still, I am certain that a brand-new world is reflected in her pure and youthful eyes. They say that young children are especially perceptive of such things.
Akira: Snow and White said that the period when both humans and wizards have such special powers freely available to them is when they're children. I heard pretty similar stuff in my own world, too.
Faust: That's true. It differs person by person, but children do have a sensitivity to things that adults lack. They're too young to know what to do with them, but all their senses are exceptionally keen. But there's less than a handful of people who actually retain that capability into adulthood. That girl must've had a hard time not having many people who could understand her.
Akira: Yeah… It sounded like she didn't get to live in a very good environment until Mister Aslan adopted her. She was ostracized because people thought it was creepy that she could see a world no one else could…
Owen: No matter how weak she is, she's still a wizard. What's so hard about it?
Akira: Owen…
Owen leaned back against the sofa, slumping in his seat. Only his head turned to us as he continued to speak.
Owen: Wizards are solitary creatures. They can survive on their own. She should've just flaunted her power and drove everyone away in fear or something like that.

Hello! Tis I again with another question! I noticed that you sometimes take on a caring and fatherly role to Mac, and sometimes Bloo, which strikes the question: Has anyone ever called you "dad" or even "mom", whether it be unironically or accidentally?
Tumblr media
Quite a few times actually, yeah! Sometimes we get really REALLY young visitors at Foster’s, y’know like little kids that are 5 or even 2 years old. I’m sorry but I can’t really explain why this phenomenon happens, but often times toddlers will just mistake some imaginary friends to be their parents. I’m not sure if it’s because we act or look similar to their parents but y’know it happens, we just smile and laugh about it, no big deal! I’d say aboutttttt half of the imaginary friends at Foster’s have been mistaken as parents by toddlers.
As for Bloooo, he does call me dad and mom sometimes but it’s always in a ‘you’re bothering me right now could you go away’ kind of attitude. Y’know, like when people go “Thanks, Mom in a reeeeeaaalll sarcastic way?
Mac did call me ‘dad’ once. I was helping him get the basketball into the hoop since he was struggling a bit that day and I wanted him to score another point since he was feeling a little down from school. That’s when he accidentally called me ‘dad.’ I mean, even though it was an accident I thought it was very sweet of him to say that. But I could tell he was feeling embarrassed since he kept apologizing for it and apologizing is my job haha! I kind of wanted to ask him about it but I don’t think he wants to talk about it, and that’s okay. But now that I’ve mentioned it to you, please don’t tell anyone else about this. This is kind of a thing between me and Mac, not even Ed, or Coco, or Frankie, or Mr.H, or Bloo knows about it. And I’m sorry, but if word got out to Bloo especially, he would just tell the whole house about it and I don’t think Mac would like that very much.
