The rain hammered down upon the roof, only accompanied by the low rumble of the car’s engine as it sped down the highway. The passing street lights itnermittently illuminating the vehicle and it’s passengers. As per usual, Texas sat up front. With her signature stick of pocky and one hand on the wheel, she leaned back in her chair with a soft sigh. They had already been driving for hours, and they still has 12 miles to go.

In the back seat, Texas could spy Crossaint absent mindedly staring out the window, her signature tools long since stashed in the trunk. Great. The blood stains are gonna be a real pain to get out... was Texas’ only though on the matter. Beside her, Exusiai sat, long since fast asleep. No doubt dreaming of something wonderful. If only Texas could be so lucky.

And- of course- the boss of it all, Emperor, sat as well. His small size allowed him to easily squeeze between the two other Penguin Logistics members. With his signature sunglasses on, it was hard to tell if he was awake or not. He wasn’t moving, but then again...he always was incredibly hard to read. She liked that about him, though, truthfully.

‘Hey.’

A quiet whisper from the passenger seat brings Texas from her thoughts, ears turning to the source of the sound. (But of course, keeping her eyes on the road.) The speaker was, of course, the final passenger on this ‘road trip’ - Sora of Penguin Logistics (and idol fame.)

“Mh? What is it?” The lupo responds- just loud enough to be heard by the other, but no one else. “Something bothering you?” Texas was used to Sora being sat here with her, of course- Sora was usually in charge of what music to play- but at this time of night, she had elected to keep the car quiet. This quiet...was nice, and it allowed to Texas to hear just what it was Sora had to say--

Texas smiled, though it was a little harder to see in the darkness, the flashes of light only briefly illuminating her face...though surely this moment of rarity shone bright enough to be seen for miles?  With a quick sidewards glance and a subtle tilt of the head, Texas responds in a quizzical tone.

“...Mhm...you’d like that, huh?”

The Lupo keeps her eyes forward, the soft smile on her face still persisting, the warmth in her chest fending off the late night chills. The rumble of the engine and the pattering of rain on the roof did nothing to hide the pounding of Texas’ heart, nor did they have any chance of covering up her response:

“Hah, Yeah...I’d like that too.”
