i've never played an MMO before FFXIV and the levels of anxiety i get when forced to do content with other people oh my god

like damn maybe i should just watch the cutscenes online because i can't handle this lmao

I've not been playing ffxiv for a crazy long time. I'm not like a super veteran that's been around for 10 years or anything like that. But I have been around for almost a year and have become very familiar with a lot of aspects of the game. (Still haven't finished MSQ yet though, don't judge me)

With that being said, I heard dynamis is very much filled to the brim with sprouts and I absolutely thrive with helping people. One of my favorite things is to show people how to do things and help them when they're struggling.

Taking all that into consideration, i do also like being able to chill and do casual roulettes without worrying about it taking an hour. Do you think it's worth transferring from Primal (Lamia) to the Dynamis DC? How badly do you think it'll affect my queue times? Would it be feasible to start up a new FC there?

FFXIV tumblr I feel very stupid but I have a question

1. Wtf is the hydaelyn button

2. How do I get rid of it

3. How do I click on it?

It used to be in the middle of my screen, then I accidentally moved it into the corner whilst trying to click it. Now it won't let me click on it at all. It is freakish levels of irritating in the corner of all my screenshots. I have googled every possible combination of what I think it might be called and it just keeps giving me stuff that isnt it. I haven't seen anybody else with this on their screen.

Update: figured out what it is!! After uninstalling my game it reset the position of where the icon was so I could click on it. It's FF Logs. I don't remember installing it but I guess I'm glad I have an answer. More annoyed that I had to spend 3 hours redownloading the game but it also conveniently got rid of GShade so that's a win!

my sprout that I'll be taking through the story (for my first time) I skipped the story with my main gurl, but that was to "catch up" to play with the pals that invited me in. I genuinely don't think I would have played the game otherwise. I wasn't good at playing games on my own when I started. I watched all kinds of videos about the story, then ended up watching hours and hours of cut scenes just so I'd kind of know what was going on in Endwalker. I'm excited to amend all of that, and to stream the whole thing. Will likely dig in after Dawntrail. Until then. ART.

This is my FFXIV blog, where I'll most often post GPoses and character inspo. Eventually it may house RP and character writing, but presently, I'm still getting my footing in the FFXIV setting as a whole. A little about me: I'm 25, theoretically a ladyperson (she/her), and I've been RPing online since I could type - about 15 years now (though I'd like to think I've improved since ye olde days of the Neopets forums). My interests are random and often come in short, hyperfixated bursts, but FFXIV seems to be stuck to me. I'm also learning to 3D model one snail's-pace step at a time, and Graphic Design is my Passion™.

As for FFXIV, I'm currently playing through Heavensward Shadowbringers and loving crying at every second of this wonderful, heartbreaking story. DRG is my favorite class so far, PLD is fun, and I cannot, for the life of me, understand RDM or DNC. I am doing my best.
