You pushed down on the red blazer, staring at the almost-bursting button in the mirror before you.
Why did the freaking washer have to shrink it down?! And on my first day?!?!?!!?
You silently cursed at the washing machine, still playing around with the fabric.
“Y/N! You’re going to be late if you don’t leave soon!” You heard your mother’s voice enter your room from the kitchen.
“Going!” You deeply sigh, giving yourself one last look in the mirror. Not that it really mattered anyway. You wouldn’t be able to compete with everyone else there with their designer things and expensive cars and whatever else rich kids brought to school. Your heart was hammering in your chest, but you just softly shake your head to exert some energy. I can do this… Grabbing your backpack off the floor, you walked out of your room towards the kitchen. “Bye, Mom!” You give her a quick peck on the cheek and grab a protein bar from the counter.
“Be careful! And good luck today!” Your mom’s voice slowly dies down as you walked outside. You quickly fastened your walking pace in order to make the bus on time. As you turned the corner onto the main road, you saw the bus just braking and quickly run, slowly stopping behind the small line of people waiting to get on. Glancing down at your watch, you noted the time: 7:08 a.m. Perfect. The bus was already beginning to get crowded and you tried your best to hold on and not bump into anyone. People came on and off as the bus continued its route. The closer you were, the more your heart started to race.
You just transferred to Eastside Academy based off of a scholarship you applied for last year. They’re paying for your tuition, uniform, books, laptop, and any other school needs as long as you maintain a 3.6 gpa. You were really excited since the Academy has great programs, and you wanted to explore them all. But as you stood in front of the entrance with its grand gates, you started to question why you left the public school system. You stood to the side, your hands clutching the hem of your blazer. You stared as more students started arriving, many of them in black SUVs. You noticed that a rather large group of girls were hanging outside, and silently thought if maybe you should approach them. Before even making a decision, they suddenly began squealing and loudly whispering to each other.
“Ohmygosh, they’re here, they’re here!”
Who’s here? You think to yourself. That’s when you finally notice the stretched limo driving down the block and stop in front of the school. You curiously stared at it, wondering who in the world would arrive in such a grand manner just for school. The driver stepped out and quickly ran to open the door.
Out stepped a line of guys, all extremely handsome. The tallest of the group was in front and had dirty blonde hair, book in hand. Behind him were two guys, one wearing a leather jacket over his school uniform, a stark contrast to his platinum blonde hair and fair skin. He had headphones on and a cool composure, whereas the guy next to him was more bubbly and friendly. He waved to the girls as they passed and a specific few excitedly waved back. Behind them was another pair of guys and they appeared to be talking with one another. One of them appeared younger than the rest, but still just as handsome with black hair parted to the side. He suddenly began laughing and lightly hit the other’s arm causing him to jokingly yell out, “Why’d you hit me for?! It wasn’t that funny.” His response seemed to cause the younger one to laugh even harder as they continued to enter the school. There was a last pair of guys behind them and they looked to be the same age as you. But there was one that really caught your eye. He ran his hand through his black hair causing the girls to suddenly clutch their chest as if they couldn’t breathe. He reached into his pants pocket for his phone, but as he pulled it out, his wallet fell. He stopped walking and started to bend down to pick it up, but one of the girls ran and picked it up for him.
“Here you go, Jimin. I’m sure you don’t want to lose this,” her hands were slightly shaking as she handed his wallet.
“Thanks,” he gave her a small smile then continued to walk to the entrance.
Okay, I definitely can’t do this…
Suddenly the bell rang and this gave you the incentive to quickly walk inside. You glanced at your phone to look at your schedule and room number.
Starting off with English. Not so bad. I can do this… You took a deep breath and quickly found the room since it was on the first floor. You took a seat in the middle of the room, not wanting to sit in front and gain attention, but also didn’t want to sit in the back and not pay attention. You had a gpa to uphold! You took out your notebook and pen, repositioning it every few seconds just to have something to do.
Suddenly sensing someone’s presence, you looked up to see one of the guys that you saw earlier, his face incredibly close to yours. You immediately felt your cheeks heat up from the sudden closeness. He wore an angelic smile, but his deep, brown eyes spoke otherwise.
“And what’s your name, sweetheart?”
A/N: Ah finally! This is my first BTS fanfic. I’m debating whether to add more mature themes in the future chapters, but we’ll see. Also, I was inspired by the gif I attached here (not mine btw - credit to whoever made it) for their outfits and appearance, but didn’t stick to the hair colors they have here - for some. I changed the color for Namjoon and Jimin, but keeping it the same for the other members. I hope you’ve enjoyed it thus far, and just to let you know that I live for cliffhangers as a writer (just a warning). Thank you for reading! I’ll do my best to update soon.
(Also, please ignore my terrible summary, I’m so bad at writing those)
