Amusement glinted to life in her eyes. Her head shaking at his words. “I’m not looking for an apology, or excuses.” Aqua continued to smooth her hand through his hair. “Actually, I came to tell you that I’m proud of you. And to make sure you’re doing all right.” Was that odd? Being proud of him for knowingly thrusting himself into danger?

But how could she not be proud of him?

“You did something amazing, and selfless. It probably helped more than you know.” She didn’t like seeing Ven weakened though. But she wouldn’t be harsh on him.

At first the hunter only released a muffled whine in response to his question, wiggling his hips as Ven rubbed his back.

“Lower,” he huffed, pulling his face away from his pillow, resting his chin back down against it with a small chuckle, “I’ll be fine, just.. gotta wait for my lunch to kick in, and for this headache to go away..”

   After what he said, Roxas offered an ice cream to his new friend who shared the same face as him. It was funny, they were not really related, but they looked identical. It was a chill day, out of fights... for now.

“I’ve had worse before,” his blunt answer didn’t stop him from flinching as Ven’s hand touched against his back, hissing through his teeth at the tender bruise that had formed with ugly, dark colours against his skin. A direct hit from a keyblade was sure to leave a nasty mark.

“Besides.. That jerk needed to be taught a lesson. I wasn’t going to just let him push either of us around, Ven. It’s not right. I wasn’t going to back down, especially not when he started talking about ‘beating’ me in your place.”
