“You smell of fire and sun... the energy you give off reminds me of home. Back before it became dust and sand, and before it was reborn, that is... What are you?”
“What am I?” He wanted to retort quickly, pushing the burden of the question back on whatever approached him. He couldn’t begin to comment on the other’s spirit, let alone put it as the other did. The poignant nature of it all was lost on him as he took a defensive posture, “I am just a man, sharing a mortal body with... something else.”
He frowned. How best to explain it without dogma? Perhaps that wasn’t possible. Perhaps he owed no explanation. He spoke on regardless, “Something greater than me, older than all of us. It is life, unconcerned with any opinion. Perhaps you stand here because of it, or in spite of it. What would you say to that?”

Snip!! @ferrumdaemonium
“Me? Can’t... Oh, I guess you’re... Blind, maybe?” She looked down, and tried to make her usually-silent steps as loud as possible, so the person would know she’s in front of her, and then she sat down in front of her. “I’m a cat! A kitten, actually. I’m very small compared to most other cats.”
She didn’t mind. She was much, much faster than them, at least!
She could also go in and out of the spirit realm at will.
“Oh... So...?” She stared for a moment. “They’re, like, a treat? What do you normally need to eat, then?”

“Why ponder about holidays at all? Many are pointless. Humans will always find an excuse to create one ”
“... Well then. That is... your opinion, I suppose.”
Yi, not so subtly, rested a hand on the nearest sword to himself.

ferrumdaemonium replied: I mean idk it seems very obvious he can use magic in game at least to me. Ga.ren also seems to have magic, as we see Sy.las use it against him multiple times.
he can use magic in game, as he is a s1 champion and USED to be magic in lore, it saved him from being murdered by sw.ain and all that. he however is not magic in current lore as we note when syl.as grabbed him he didn’t absorb or take any magic. ( also i assume it would be mentioned at least once in his lore if he was ) riot just hasn’t taken the time to actually like update him and give him abilities which make sense... so we have an unexplained magic shield
( as for gar.en - while not the topic of this discussion - its not really explained, it seems syl.as can only take magic from him if he is using his sword so who knows what that implies )

He tilted his head to the side, nudging towards their arms in confirmation. Sometimes curiosity got the better of the demon. He wished to be informed of other creature’s unique features.
“Why’s that? Can’t fly and fight at the same time?” Getting up from the sitting position he had been in, the Spearfisher began to circle around them. Not as a preditor eyeing their prey, rather simply observing them.

"What are you?"
"An archmage." He responded, leveling a someone annoyed glare at the creature before him. "And now I ask 'and what are you?' Right?" Cocking an eyebrow, he waits for the response.

"The smell of the corruption of my kind... You reek of it. Do you know what you've gotten yourself into, boy?"
The sound of another voice didn’t phase him, instead he turned his head to gaze upon the other. She was big, tall, and looked as though she were blinded in some way. She looked...odd.
“And what is it to you?” He asks, the blade of millennia swung over his shoulder. The eye upon the scythe stared at her, widened, almost like he was...shocked, to see her. He said nothing however, which was odd. Normally he would have something to say. But he didn’t.
He stayed quiet.
“Are you here to preach about the darkin? And how it will consume my very being and kill me once it finds a way to?” He gave a soft chuckle. “I need no warning. Not when I know for sure that it will succumb to me, and it will be him who will cease to exist.”

@ferrumdaemonium replied to your post: At least I got the memo for our names.
What memo. I can’t read.
They didn’t forget you, Bathsheba. They said it at least five times. In the span of five minutes.

"I don't give my heart, or give up easily."
“Who said I wanted it anyway ?”A frown grew along his brows.”Does my current appearance trick you in thinking so ? Those pitiful mortals are the ones you should say such putrid thing..”

"It's cold."
It wasn’t much, but Haanif unwrapped his scarf from his neck and wrapped it around Bathsheba. Obviously, the small piece of cloth wasn’t going to do much to keep Bathsheba warm.
And so, he gently lifted her up in his arms and plopped himself onto the ground, placing the other darkin in his lap. In doing this, he’d be able to share his body heat with her.
“I hope this is fine with you, Bathsheba,” Haanif spoke softly.

(continued from here)  @ferrumdaemonium:
Well it was a little late to regret picking her up now, but at least he adjusted her so that it was more comfortable for her. She didn’t mind being picked up now per say, because hey, it’s less walking she has to do, right?
“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine.” She huffed, but noted his concern and did not try to dismiss it outright. She simply didn’t want to be worried about. It did make her feel… Somewhat happy that he showed some care towards her wellbeing, even if it was in his own way.
While she felt his gaze burning into her, it was ignored and she felt him change direction towards the camp she had pointed out to him. In all truth she had been looking for a camp of bandits to hunt down, so it was two birds with own stone. Both of them got a meal out of it, at least.
“Oh.” She was slightly surprised that he wanted her to kill beside him, but she was more than happy to do so. At least for this kind of slaughter, anyways. “Of course.”
With that, as he set her down, she was quick to get settled and unwrap her chained blades from around her waist. She sniffed the air some more, attempting to figure out how many there happened to be in this small camp. It didn’t seem like there was that many, but perhaps enough to sate his hunger for the time being.
“… Approximately 10… Maybe 13 are there. I could be wrong. The smoke makes it difficult to tell.” She murmured, before tilting her head. “You can go first.”
He could have found the words to argue, about how he had just found her eating the remains of small creatures. But all that escapes him is a deep, guttural sigh. Even with twisted blade comfortably in hand now, he does not stand just yet. “Patience.” His voice comes out as no more than a low growl. Although pain and the conscious knowledge of his constant decay gnawed at him, the Darkin knew all too well the importance of strategy. With a hand placed on the ground for balance, Aatrox’s gaze pierces through the trees, making sure that they could not be detected from here.
“I doubt any of them have a courageous bone in them. Once I appear, the bandits will flee in fear. And I will not be able to run through the trees fast enough to catch them,” Careful digits guide her hand in the direction that ran perpendicular to the campsite, “Ready yourself by positioning closer to the camp this way. Take out the cowards who run when I appear before them.” How long it had been since he had someone to fight with him, on his side... The habit of commanding allies came back to him all too easily.
“I will do my best in approaching them quietly, no doubt I will be spotted before I set a foot closer to the site. I will barge in, and cause confusion after a minute. Go, now.”

|| @ferrumdaemonium asked:  "If anyone bothers you for this... 'Valentines day'. Tell me. They will be dealt with."
«Actually, I was planning to make mooncakes. I... I don’t have crushes on anyone. ... Really.»
And that was the day Nina told the biggest lie of all.

NO - scoots away. The glare he shoots her way reads: the only reason you’re alive right now is because Rhaast likes you, don’t test me.
