Technology Metals Australia inks new deal with Indias Tata Steel
WA-based vanadium developer Technology Metals Australia has announced it will partner with India’s Tata Steel in a bid to reduce emissions in steel applications. The vanadium company said it had entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with the Indian steelmaking company, which will see both parties undertake discussions on the requirements for downstream vanadium processing in India and Australia. The deal could also see potential commercial collaboration in TMT’s Murchison Technology Metals Project, located 50km south of Meekatharra, and downstream production facilities. Discussions will also include potential investment by Tata Steel into TMT. “TMT is very excited to be partnering with Tata Steel, one of the world’s largest steelmakers, as well as furthering Australia’s important trade relationship with India,” TMT managing director Ian Prentice said. “High purity vanadium pentoxide from the MTMP is important in producing lower emission ferrovanadium and vanadium nitride, which Tata Steel utilises in its steelmaking process. “Together, TMT and Tata Steel can play an important part in reducing emissions in steel applications as the world progresses towards net zero carbon emissions.” Tata Steel strategic procurement vice-president Rajiv Mukerji said the deal aligned with the company’s strategy to ensure reliable, stable supplies of raw materials to meet customer requirements. “Vanadium is a key component in Tata Steel’s steelmaking process to increase strength and reduce weight, and as our customers increasingly look to reduce their carbon emissions, we anticipate demand for these products to grow,” he said. It’s easier to visually explain what’s going on, since I already laid out the logic. I do have some more to cover, but like I said, it’s not nearly enough as part 1. There’s a picture! It’s a schematic! Part 3 covers how it does the healing! maybe, depends on my sanity. Here’s part 1.

Angela flies and does all cool stuff with her staff. It’s lightweight and aerodynamic. Alloys must be lightweight, but durable, resistant, flexible, and sealable.
Removing the idea of using circuit-based electroactivity eliminated the concern about the staff being too heavy.

1. Base’s exterior
The white part of the base is made of vanadium nitride. It’s more durable than the shaft’s alloy. We don’t want an electric charge to penetrate this area, so all white pieces are brushed with electrical resistant coatings.
Within the base, there’s a strong set of magnets that repel electricity.
Outside of the vanadium nitride, everything else is the same for the shaft’s exterior.
2. Shaft’s exterior
The staff is made of superalloys to withstand anything you throw at it. Each layer has electroplating that activates electromagnet properties, so each layer pulls the radioactive electricity inward.
I decided to go with a superalloy called Aluminum-Lithium (Al-Li) because it’s used on airplanes, tanks, and space shuttles.
My thought is that there are numerous layers of superalloys with the thickness of a piece of paper. After a few layers of the Al-Li, I envision the rest is called Inconel that is nickel-chromium. It activates electromagnetic radiation that is pulled inward into the shaft. This alloy can tolerate temperatures at 1472°-2552°F.
Between each layer, there’s a layer of graphene. Graphene is like a cushion that can withstand high temperatures without having issues.
The graphene layers also prevent friction between multiple layers. In this case, the material between the alloys is bi-layer graphene (2 layer). The graphene also continues to conduct electrical radiation. Eliminating friction ensures that heat, radiation, and electricity remain at a constant. No room for deviations here!
Finally, a thin layer of niobium brings all that radioactive electricity to the polarized disk to prevent/lessen drift. Losing energy is called drift. Even though there are times where the electricity decides to wander off, it’s pulled back in with the polarized disk.

All layers are brushed with ferrovanadium to protect against acids, molybdenum trioxide to protect against corrosion and nichrome (nickel and chrome) to protect against oxidation.
