A kiss for luck Alonso and Fermín

If there was one thing Fermín for grateful for at his first motogp race, it was his boyfriend.

He was pacing around his motorhome, practically wearing holes into the floor with his nervousness. The steady thump resonated throughout, alerting Alonso as he walked through the door. Free practice and qualifying had gone well, although not as well as Fermín wanted. He expected perfection the first race he had, and when he didn’t get that he started to panic.

Alonso gently walked over to him, putting his hands on his shoulders and feeling the tense muscle underneath. Fermín stopped in his tracks, bringing his head up from where he was looking at the floor and up to Alonso’s smiling face. Fermín looked at him confused, especially when he dragged his hands down to his own, held them, and leaned in to kiss him.

Fermín stood there shocked for a moment before gently pursing his lips against Alonso’s, tasting like the orange juice they had with their breakfast that morning. Alonso delicately pulled away, bringing his hand up to stroke Fermín’s cheek.

“For luck.” he said, staring deep into his eyes. Fermín could feel the redness starting to make its way to his cheeks when there was a knock at the door. Alonso gently squeezed his hand, smiling again.

“Show ‘em why you’re here, mi amor.”
