I needed a different url from my usual for a thing, then this ended up getting stuck with me and becoming my main url. It comes from popcorn (caramel) + nachos (cheese) which are the movie snacks my best friend and I used to have together back in highschool.

Dynasties in the Kingdom of Talig

The Arigos

Title: Count Arigo Motto: Foreshadows a battle! Head of the family: Germont Arigo Main possessions: County of Arigo

The Arigos are blood vassals of the House of Lightning. They inherited the title and the name of the extinct the Parda family, according to legend, descended from the second son of the first Marechiara's Anax - Astrapion, but some 'guardians' of the purity of blood consider the Arigos are half-bloods.

The only representative of the House is Germont Arigo, the son of Pierre-Louis Arigo and Caroline Arigo. At the request of his father, he was disinherited and exiled to Torka, which he never left. In fact, the letter from his father, which deprived Germont of his title, was forged by Master Capotta, the lover, or rather the secret husband, of his mother and the father of his half-brothers and sister: Guy, Joram and Katarina.

The Savignacs

The Savignacs are blood vassals of the House of Lightning, according to legend, descended from the third son of the first Marechiara's Anax - Astrapion. It is known for sure that the current Counts of Savignac are direct descendants of the Eory Kerva from the House of Lightning.

After the accession of Francis the First, they took the side of the Ollars and have been the most faithful servants of the Talig for four hundred years.

Lionel isn't inclined to equate all representatives of the old nobility and even all participants in the latest uprisings with Talig's enemies, distinguishing the instigators and organizers of the uprisings from ordinary participants who had no choice. After graduating the Laik, according to family tradition, chose a military career, as did his twin brother Emile and younger brother Arno.

The Colignards

Title: Duke Colignard Motto: Strong. Loyalty. Justice Head of the family: Joan-Erasmus Colignard Main possessions: County of Er Sabve

The founder of the family - Sebastian Colignard - was a foundling left at the gate of a monastery near the town of Colignard in County of Arigo, from where the surname later originated. Sebastian Colignard was a novice, but his love for the miller's daughter forced him to abandon the tonsure. To feed his family, Colignard became a mercenary, going from a rookie to a squad captain. He joined Francis Ollar, showing himself to be a wonderful tactician.

The Colignard family belongs to the so-called "new nobles". Among People of Honor, they are often contemptuously called "dung men".

The Royal dynasties

The Rakans

Title: no (previously - King of Taligoya, Anax, Emperor) Motto: "In the name of the Creator and in His Name" (previously - "My Heart is in my hand") Head of the family: Aldo Rakan Main possessions: no (previously - Great Taligoya, the Golden Lands)

It is not known from whom the Rakans descended, but there is an inexplicable connection between the Lords and the Rakans, thanks to which the Lords have faithfully served the Rakans for thousands of years and were the mainstay of their power over the Golden Lands.

According to legend, representatives of this dynasty are able to summon the Rakan's Beast - an extremely powerful creature that sweeps away everything in its path. Like the divine powers of the Lords, this skill of the Rakans has remained in the distant past, becoming a part of history unrelated to modern life.

An ancient dynasty, that once ruled all the Golden Lands, was overthrown by Francis Ollar.

The Ollars

Title: King of Talig Motto: "In the name of Talig and in His name" (previously - "There are no Invincibles") Head of the family: Ferdinand II Ollar Main possessions: the Kingdom of Talig

The royal dynasty, founded 400 years ago by Francis Ollar (the Maragon's Bastard), who overthrew the Rakan dynasty from the Taligoya throne and renamed Taligoya into Talig.

Francis-Vaudemont-Joachim Ollar, Francis the First the Great, the illegitimate son of the Duke of Maragona, and the maiden Adelina Ollar. He was brought up in the house of his maternal grandfather, then was taken by his father to the court. As a squire of Baron Hans Mansfeld, he defeated the invincible Jacob Siegen, nicknamed the Dragon Nordgau, at the tournament. Hence the nickname "Dragon Slayer" and the coat of arms.

At the break of the epochs, Francis Ollar invades northern Taligoya, captures the capital of the Kingdom - Kabitela, and proclaims himself King of Talig and head of the new Ollarian Church. He proved himself to be a brave reformer and an excellent politician.
