I wanted to repost this one~ I love how the hands came out.
A night in a shared tent, held hands and a soft kiss: Please, forestall tomorrow.
A very short comic inspired by the Táin Bó Cúailnge, specifically the battle between Ferdiad and Cú Chulainn and the days leading up to it. For those who do not know, the two were former students and roommates together, while they trained in combat. Years later, they faced one another from opposing sides of a war. They fought for three days, and on the third day, Cú Chulainn killed Ferdiad with the Gae Bulg, a spear that, when it pierced its target, shot that person full of barbs and thorns and had to be cut out to be removed. But they never forgot their love for one another, and on the first two nights after the first two days of combat, they shared a tent and tended one another's wounds. The first page depicts the two resting in the tent, holding hands, Ferdiad asking why Cú Chulainn has brought him to his tent. The second page shows a silhouette of Ferdiad's death, overlaid with Cú Chulainn's words in reply. (Note that these words are only inspired by the lore.)

A modern version of Ferdiad mac Damain. I was having fun with gradients going for a very specific look. Anyway! He was so much fun and I am so happy with how he turned out.

I realized I had progress of this one to show ya'll! I haven't been doing a ton of artistic stuff but I think I have some things to show ya'll that I've yet to post. (I've been hurting fairly badly the last week due to storms.) I did a couple new sketches tonight and might post one later, unsure. But for now, have an update!

Sorry I haven't been around much, but I promise I am still around. I've been working on a lot of book binding and journal stuff lately. But here, more Cú Chulainn on this post. I will finish the in progress couple piece.

Yes I doodled a modern version of Ferdiad. I mean I drew Cuchulainn in cargo pants, so.
