hey would u mind sharing ur hair care routine (what type of shampoo, conditioner, any masks/treatments u do)? it looks so good :0
Fuck yeah I ove talking about hair, that's why I thought I'd like having long hair but turns out it's sensory hell. Anyway.
Giovanni Smooth as Silk shampoo for a lowkey everyday option as it's sulfate free but cleanses well enough;
Once every like 3 washes i clarify with something containing sulfates and disodium EDTA. If you're feeling fancy you can do Kinky-Curly Come Clean but a random Pantene one will do the job so I don't feel like it's necessary. Just keep an eye on the drying alcohols (short chain) in the Pantene shampoos, some of them contain fewer or none and are better for yr hair;
I alternate between Mill Creek Biotin and Keratin conditioners. Mill Creek really makes the best conditioner on the market imo and the price has never gone up but you need to order it from the US;
Fuck Curlsmith. But if your hair gets really dry the Hydro Creme Soothing Mark really is the most effective deep conditioner I've tried within the cgm realm;
Kinky-Curly Knot Today as leave in / detangler or Ecoslay Rice Pudding. I love both. Make sure you buy Kinky-Curly from a reputable source cause there are plenty of counterfeits around;
KINKY-CURLY CURLYING CUSTARD. You will have to take out a loan to afford it but it's worth it. Also you need so little a tub will last you 2 years;
Before the Custard I used to use Ecoslay Lemon Buttercream and I liked that one too. It's just annoying that their products need to be refrigerated;
Before every wash (every 5 or 6 days for me) I give myself a scalp massage with amla oil, fenugreek oil, castor oil (also brahmi and bhringraj sometimes, depends what's on sale, but my faves are amla and fenugreek bc fenugreek is also lowkey a dht blocker) + a few drops of rosemary and basil oil and I sleep in it. On my ends I use avocado oil cause its molecular weight is low enough to penetrate the hair shaft;
Once every like, 6 weeks, I use my partner's ketoconazole shampoo to get rid of dht buildup on my scalp.
my hair is medium/low density and medium thickness, and low porosity at the moment cause virgin and proteinated af.
i also do henna once a year!! the brand i use is called spierb which is kinda random and lowkey sus but i really like it. i use copperberry (acerola) as an acid (1:4 ratio).
Hope you enjoyed this 'asciugata' (in northern Italian slang when someone talks your ear off abt sth you only mildly care about it's called "to dry someone out", an 'asciugata' is 'a dry-out'. Feel free to share yr hair routine if you like!

Introduction : Hair loss can be a distressing experience, affecting both men and women of all ages. While there are numerous treatments and products available on the market, many people prefer to take a more natural approach to tackle this issue. In this comprehensive guide, we will explore a wide range of natural methods and remedies to help you prevent hair loss and promote healthy hair growth. From dietary changes to lifestyle adjustments and herbal remedies, we've got you covered with effective strategies that can make a real difference in maintaining your luscious locks.
Section 1: ( The Role of Nutrition ): A well-balanced diet is fundamental to healthy hair. Essential nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, and proteins, play a crucial role in hair growth and strength. Incorporating the following elements into your diet can significantly reduce hair fall:
Protein: Hair is primarily composed of a protein called keratin. Ensure you have an adequate intake of lean proteins like eggs, fish, lean meats, and legumes.
Iron: Iron deficiency can lead to hair loss. Include iron-rich foods such as spinach, lentils, and red meat in your meals.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids: These healthy fats found in fatty fish (like salmon and mackerel), walnuts, and flaxseeds can promote scalp health and hair growth.
Vitamins: Vitamins such as A, C, and E are essential for healthy hair. These can be found in foods like sweet potatoes, citrus fruits, and nuts.
Biotin: Biotin, also known as vitamin B7, is crucial for hair health. It's found in eggs, nuts, and leafy greens.
Section 2: ( Proper Hair Care ) The way you care for your hair can have a significant impact on hair fall. Here are some natural tips for maintaining healthy hair:
Gentle Washing: Avoid frequent and aggressive hair washing, which can strip your hair of its natural oils. Wash your hair every 2-3 days with a mild, sulfate-free shampoo.
Scalp Massage: Regular scalp massages can improve blood circulation and stimulate hair follicles. Use natural oils like coconut or almond oil for added benefits.
Natural Hair Products: Opt for natural and chemical-free hair care products. Harsh chemicals in shampoos and conditioners can weaken hair over time.
Avoid Heat Styling: Reduce the use of heat styling tools like straighteners and curling irons. If you must use them, apply a heat protectant spray.
Wide-Toothed Comb: When detangling your hair, use a wide-toothed comb to prevent breakage.
Section 3: ( Lifestyle Changes ) Our lifestyle choices can have a profound impact on hair health. Making the following adjustments can contribute to preventing hair loss naturally:
Stress Management: Chronic stress can lead to hair loss. Practice stress-reduction techniques such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises.
Adequate Sleep: Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. Sleep is essential for hair repair and growth.
Hydration: Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Dehydration can make hair brittle and prone to breakage.
Smoking and Alcohol: Both smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can negatively affect hair health. Reducing or quitting these habits can benefit not only your hair but your overall well-being.
Physical Activity: Regular exercise can improve blood circulation, which is beneficial for hair follicles. Find an activity you enjoy and make it a part of your routine.
Section 4: ( Herbal Remedies and Supplements ) : Herbal remedies have been used for centuries to promote hair growth and prevent hair loss. Some popular options include:
Aloe Vera: Aloe vera gel can be applied to the scalp to reduce dandruff and promote hair growth.
Hibiscus: Hibiscus flowers and leaves are known for their hair-strengthening properties. You can make a paste and apply it to your scalp.
Fenugreek: Fenugreek seeds can be soaked overnight and made into a paste for scalp application. They help strengthen hair roots.
Saw Palmetto: This herbal supplement is believed to block the hormone responsible for hair loss (DHT) and is often used to combat hair loss in men.
Conclusion
Preventing hair loss naturally requires patience and consistency in implementing these strategies. Remember that results may vary from person to person due to genetics and other factors. By nourishing your body with the right nutrients, adopting a healthy lifestyle, and using natural hair care methods, you can reduce hair fall and promote a healthier, more vibrant mane. Want to know a secret to natural hair growth? It's probably on your spice rack! With so many hair growth products around the market promising much and delivering less, traditional spices have been in use for ages to help in the development of healthy hair. Here's what you need to know about using spices in hair growth. The top spices that ensure hair growth include:
Cinnamon
This spice of the kitchen is much more than adding flavor to your food. It contains cinnamaldehyde, which is a natural blood circulation booster to the scalp. Mix with coconut or olive oil, apply to your scalp, and leave it for 30 minutes before washing.
Rosemary
Rosemary isn't just for cooking! It contains rosmarinic acid that improves scalp circulation and fights dandruff. Try making a rosemary hair rinse by steeping the leaves in hot water, or mix rosemary oil with coconut oil for a scalp massage. Fenugreek Fenugreek is a common spice in Indian cuisine and is a reservoir of proteins and nicotinic acid, which gives strength to the hair follicles. Soak the seeds in water overnight, grind them into a paste, and apply to your scalp for 30 minutes.
Ginger
Ginger contains gingerol, which enhances blood circulation in the scalp and possesses antiseptic properties. Mix fresh ginger juice with olive oil for a stimulating scalp treatment. Turmeric The curcumin in turmeric is not just good for inflammation; it even helps in good hair growth. Mix turmeric powder with milk or coconut oil for an easy hair mask.
Pro Tips of Using Spices:
- Always perform a patch test to check against allergic reactions - Mix spices with carrier oils such as coconut or olive oil - Be consistent for best results of treatments. - Never overdo as moderation is key. - Consult a doctor in case you have any suspicion. Remember, while spices are wonderful natural additives in your hair care routine, they work even better when applied within the realm of an all-around approach toward hair health: a proper diet, proper hair care, and keeping stress away will also go a long way in maintaining good hair growth. Seasonal Dandruff: Why It Gets Worse in Winter and How to Treat It Naturally
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9053f22e37506e30e058831f115c6e21/c6f36bf5c888ad63-7b/s540x810/aa041874abbb7b38bf6556b979d6ff0e221517ed.jpg)
Understanding Seasonal Dandruff and Its Winter Woes
Dandruff is a common scalp condition that affects millions of people worldwide. While it can occur at any time of the year, many individuals notice that their dandruff worsens during winter. The cold, dry air combined with indoor heating can strip the scalp of moisture, leading to excessive flaking, itchiness, and irritation. If left untreated, this seasonal dandruff can cause discomfort and even hair fall. Understanding the causes behind this issue and adopting natural Ayurvedic solutions can help you maintain a healthy scalp all year round.
Why Does Dandruff Worsen in Winter?
Winter creates the perfect conditions for dandruff to thrive. Several factors contribute to the increase in flakes and scalp irritation during the colder months:
Dry Air and Low Humidity – Cold weather and indoor heating reduce humidity levels, leading to a dry scalp. A dehydrated scalp is more prone to flaking and irritation.
Frequent Hot Showers – While hot water may feel comforting in winter, it strips the scalp of its natural oils, causing dryness and worsening dandruff.
Wearing Hats and Scarves – Covering your head with woolen hats and scarves can trap heat and sweat, creating a breeding ground for dandruff-causing fungi.
Weakened Immune System – Many people fall sick during winter, and a weakened immune system can make the scalp more susceptible to infections and dandruff.
Use of Harsh Hair Products – Chemical-laden shampoos and styling products can strip moisture from the scalp, exacerbating dandruff symptoms.
Natural Ayurvedic Solutions for Treating Winter Dandruff
Ayurveda offers holistic solutions to combat seasonal dandruff by addressing the root cause rather than just the symptoms. Here are some natural remedies that can help:
1. Use Ayurvedic Anti-Dandruff Oil
Oiling the scalp regularly is one of the best ways to nourish the scalp and combat dryness. Anti Dandruff Ayurvedic Oil is infused with natural ingredients like neem, bhringraj, and tea tree oil, which help soothe an itchy scalp and reduce flaking. A warm oil massage before shampooing can improve blood circulation and keep the scalp hydrated.
2. Opt for Herbal Hair Cleansers Instead of Chemical Shampoos
Harsh shampoos can strip away essential oils from the scalp. Instead, use herbal hair cleansers made from ingredients like amla, shikakai, and reetha. These natural cleansers effectively remove dandruff without causing dryness.
3. Try Ayurvedic Dandruff Treatment Kits
A complete Ayurvedic hair care regimen includes oiling, cleansing, and nourishing the scalp. Using an Ayurvedic Dandruff Treatment kit can provide a holistic solution to seasonal dandruff, ensuring long-lasting relief.
4. Incorporate Herbal Hair Masks
Homemade hair masks using Ayurvedic ingredients can deeply condition the scalp and prevent flakes. Some effective masks include:
Neem and Yogurt Mask: Neem has antifungal properties that help combat dandruff, while yogurt moisturizes the scalp.
Aloe Vera and Fenugreek Mask: Aloe vera hydrates the scalp, and fenugreek reduces itchiness and inflammation.
Hibiscus and Coconut Milk Mask: Hibiscus strengthens hair roots, and coconut milk nourishes the scalp.
5. Follow a Balanced Diet for Healthy Hair
Winter diets often lack hydration and essential nutrients, which can affect scalp health. To promote hair growth and prevent dandruff, include:
Omega-3 Fatty Acids – Found in flaxseeds, walnuts, and fish, omega-3s keep the scalp hydrated.
Vitamin B and Zinc – Present in whole grains, dairy, and leafy greens, these nutrients help control dandruff.
Hydrating Fluids – Drinking plenty of water and herbal teas ensures scalp hydration from within.
6. Use Best Ayurvedic Medicine for Dandruff
Ayurvedic formulations specifically target the root causes of dandruff. Best Ayurvedic Medicine For Dandruff contains potent herbs that restore scalp health, reduce inflammation, and prevent recurrence.
7. Maintain a Stress-Free Lifestyle
Stress is a major contributor to scalp issues, including dandruff. Practicing yoga, meditation, and deep breathing exercises can help manage stress levels and improve scalp health.
Final Thoughts
Winter dandruff can be frustrating, but it is manageable with the right approach. By using Ayurvedic solutions like herbal oils, natural cleansers, and holistic treatment kits, you can keep your scalp healthy and flake-free throughout the season. Additionally, maintaining a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and following a stress-free lifestyle can further enhance your scalp’s resilience against dandruff.
If you're looking for long-term solutions, incorporating Ayurvedic hair care into your routine can provide sustainable relief and promote overall scalp wellness. Try these natural remedies and enjoy a healthy, nourished scalp all year round!

Ayurvedic Remedies for Hair Loss: Unlocking the Secrets to Stronger, Healthier Hair
Traditional Indian practices like herbal oil massages and natural cleansers such as reetha (Sapindus mukorossi) have been revered for promoting vibrant, healthy hair. Inspired by ancient Ayurvedic principles, these remedies have stood the test of time, offering solutions for common hair concerns like hair loss, dryness, dandruff, and premature greying.
Ayurveda, a holistic science of healing, emphasizes treating the root cause of these issues rather than masking symptoms. Unlike chemical treatments, Ayurvedic remedies for hair loss focus on natural, sustainable care tailored to your unique constitution. Let’s delve into how Ayurvedic oils for healthy hair and other remedies can revitalize your hair and scalp.
Understanding the Ayurvedic Approach to Hair Health
At the heart of Ayurveda lies the balance of the body’s natural energies, governed by three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These doshas influence your physical traits, emotional tendencies, and overall health, including hair. Imbalances in doshas, often caused by diet, lifestyle, or environmental factors, lead to issues such as hair fall, dryness, and poor hair growth.
Ayurvedic oils for healthy hair, herbs, and dietary changes work harmoniously to restore balance and nourish the hair from within.
Ayurvedic Hair Care Based on Dosha Types
Vata (Air and Ether):
Hair is typically dry, porous, and prone to damage.
Imbalances lead to dandruff, dry scalp, and hair loss.
Pitta (Fire and Water):
Hair is often straight, silky, and moderately resistant to damage.
Imbalances result in hair fall, premature greying, and oiliness.
Kapha (Earth and Water):
Hair is curly, dense, and oily but can become brittle and slow-growing if unbalanced.
Aligning your regimen with your dosha ensures optimal hair health.

The Role of Scalp Health in Preventing Hair Fall
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/abc4735edc39e0d9e461933c8c2850ee/683ab5fc7e9efc21-fb/s540x810/db4149b17729c517ed0074fe09bd720a2c3032be.jpg)
Hair fall is a common concern that affects millions of people globally. While many factors contribute to hair loss, the health of your scalp plays a crucial role in maintaining strong, healthy hair. The scalp serves as the foundation for hair growth, and any imbalance or issue can directly affect the strength and vitality of your hair. This article delves into the importance of scalp health in preventing hair fall and how Ayurvedic practices and remedies can support a healthy scalp.
Why Scalp Health Matters for Hair Growth
The scalp is not just the surface where hair grows; it is a complex ecosystem that requires proper care to function optimally. Key factors that impact scalp health include:
Blood Circulation: The scalp requires adequate blood flow to nourish hair follicles with essential nutrients and oxygen.
Sebum Production: Sebum, the natural oil produced by the scalp, keeps it hydrated and protects hair from dryness and breakage.
pH Balance: Maintaining the scalp's pH balance is crucial to prevent issues like dryness, dandruff, and irritation.
Cleanliness: A clean scalp ensures that hair follicles remain unclogged and free of buildup from dirt, oils, or hair products.
Microbiome Balance: The scalp’s microbiome, consisting of bacteria and fungi, needs to be in harmony to prevent infections and inflammation.
Common Scalp Issues That Lead to Hair Fall
Several scalp-related issues can contribute to hair fall, including:
1. Dandruff and Dry Scalp
Excessive flaking, itching, and dryness can weaken hair roots and lead to hair fall. Dandruff results from an overgrowth of Malassezia fungus, which disrupts the scalp’s balance.
2. Excess Oil Production
An overly oily scalp can clog hair follicles, leading to inflammation and weakening of hair roots.
3. Scalp Infections
Fungal or bacterial infections, such as ringworm, can damage the scalp and cause hair fall.
4. Inflammation and Sensitivity
Conditions like psoriasis or eczema cause inflammation, irritation, and damage to the scalp, making it harder for hair to grow.
Ayurvedic Perspective on Scalp Health
In Ayurveda, scalp health is deeply connected to the balance of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Imbalances in these doshas can manifest as scalp issues, ultimately leading to hair fall.
Vata Imbalance: Causes dryness and flakiness, leading to brittle hair.
Pitta Imbalance: Leads to inflammation, sensitivity, and premature greying.
Kapha Imbalance: Results in excessive oiliness and clogged follicles.
Ayurveda focuses on restoring balance through herbal treatments, dietary adjustments, and lifestyle modifications.
Ayurvedic Practices for a Healthy Scalp
1. Herbal Cleansing with Ayurvedic Shampoo
Using the right shampoo is essential for maintaining scalp health. Opt for an Ayurvedic Shampoo For Hair Fall that cleanses the scalp gently while nourishing it with natural ingredients. Ayurvedic Shampoo For Hair Fall helps balance the scalp’s natural oils and prevents buildup, which is a common cause of hair fall.
2. Scalp Massages
Massaging the scalp with Ayurvedic oils such as Bhringraj, Neem, or Coconut oil improves blood circulation, nourishes the hair roots, and promotes hair growth. Regular massages can also reduce stress, a known factor in hair fall.
3. Dietary Adjustments
Hydration: Drinking sufficient water flushes out toxins and keeps the scalp hydrated.
Hair-Friendly Foods: Include green leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds, and protein-rich foods in your diet.
Avoid Pitta-Aggravating Foods: Spicy, fried, and overly salty foods can inflame the scalp.
4. Stress Management
Stress can disrupt the hair growth cycle and lead to excessive hair fall. Practices such as yoga, meditation, and pranayama help in managing stress effectively.
5. Regular Exfoliation
Gently exfoliating the scalp removes dead skin cells and promotes better absorption of nutrients. Ayurvedic scrubs with ingredients like Fenugreek or Amla can be used for this purpose.
Ayurvedic Ingredients for Scalp Health
1. Bhringraj
Known as the “King of Herbs” for hair, Bhringraj nourishes the scalp, strengthens hair roots, and prevents premature greying.
2. Neem
Neem’s antifungal and antibacterial properties combat dandruff and infections, keeping the scalp clean and healthy.
3. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera soothes the scalp, reduces inflammation, and maintains hydration.
4. Amla (Indian Gooseberry)
Rich in vitamin C, Amla strengthens hair follicles and promotes hair growth.
5. Hibiscus
Hibiscus flowers are packed with amino acids that nourish the scalp and improve hair texture.
The Role of Ayurvedic Shampoos in Scalp Care
A good Ayurvedic shampoo is vital for maintaining scalp health and preventing hair fall. The Best Ayurvedic Shampoo For Hair Fall combines the goodness of natural ingredients to cleanse, nourish, and rejuvenate the scalp. Regular use of such shampoos can:
Remove impurities without stripping the scalp of its natural oils.
Maintain the pH balance of the scalp.
Strengthen hair follicles and promote healthier growth.
Modern Science Meets Ayurveda
Recent studies have shown that many Ayurvedic ingredients have scientifically proven benefits for scalp and hair health. For example:
Neem and Tea Tree Oil: Effective in combating dandruff and infections.
Aloe Vera: Proven to soothe irritation and support skin health.
Bhringraj: Shown to improve hair thickness and growth.
Integrating Ayurvedic wisdom with modern scientific insights can amplify the benefits of scalp care and hair fall prevention.
Conclusion
The health of your scalp is the cornerstone of strong, resilient hair. By addressing root causes like dandruff, oil imbalance, and infections, and by using Ayurvedic practices and products, you can prevent hair fall effectively. Incorporating remedies such as Ayurvedic Shampoo For Hair Fall and the Best Ayurvedic Shampoo For Hair Fall into your hair care routine can make a significant difference.
Remember, healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. Embrace Ayurveda to nourish your scalp naturally and enjoy long-term hair health.
