why?? do?? germans?? love?? bread??
Oh, my sweet summer child. The question should be: why?? do?? other?? countries?? not?? love?? bread??
No, but really, you must’ve never had the joy to taste German bread. Otherwise, you wouldn’t ask me this question. Let me give you a quick overview of the greatness that is german bread. Sadly (because we are on the internet) I can’t let you taste it so you’ll have to live with the greatest pictures I was able to find online. But trust me, it tastes even better than it looks like
1. First of all, let’s start with good old german Bauernbrot.
You see that beautiful and delicious looking crust? I can almost feel the taste on my tongue just by looking at this beautiful picture. It’s made from sourdough and if the word perfection could be photographed, it would be this picture
2. Then there is Paderborner Landbrot which looks like the following:
Paderborner Landbrot is also made from sourdough and has a very strong taste. At the same time, it’s also very soft and stays fresh for a very long time. I suggest putting some butter on your Paderborner. I would even eat it like a piece of cake. You know? A cup of coffee and a piece of Paderborner? Call your friends and tell them about Paderborner.
3. Pumpernickel, also known as Schwarzbrot, is what you call these slices from heaven
Wikipedia told me that Pumpernickel is known as typical German bread 🤝 it’s a heavy, slightly sweet rye bread. The word Pumpernickel comes from an old bavarian term for “hard”.
4. Last but not least we have sweet sweet Knäckebrot, which technically has its origin in Sweden. But it’s amazing and I wanted to include it so there you go. Also, rectangular Knäckebrot like this was first manufactured in GERMANY in 1927! So it’s totally justified that it’s on this list:
Knäckebrot is a flat kind of cracker, it’s the better form of a cracker. Treat yourself to some Knäckebrot. You won’t regret it.
There is much more AMAZING, GROUNDBREAKING, WORLD CHANGING german bread but looking at all of these bread pictures made me quite hungry so I am going to stop here (and go have a slice of BREAD!! Because I am German! DUH)
But here have a picture of a German woman in her natural habitat
#me: writes a long ass post about bread#german stuff#german bread#german#bread#fenja gets mail#deutsch#deutsches zeug#deutsches brot#bread lovers club

Hi! I saw on your profile that you have fibromyalgia and I’m really interested in learning more about how you realized you had it - I’ve had unexplained pain in different areas for the past few months.. my mom has it and she said she was my age when she started getting the symptoms so just wondering what your experience was with it - thanks!
Hi! I am sorry to hear that you are having unexplained pain :( I really hope it just vanishes again and is not Fibromyalgia *fingers crossed*
But of course I can explain to you how I realized I have it:
Ok first of all, I had an accident when I was 11 years old where my knee cap was almost completely destroyed. I had to learn to walk again and it took about 8 years until the doctors found a way to fix it completely. And that was the same time period where I noticed the first symptoms. So I don't know how these two correlate with each other.
I first noticed that my tolerance for pain was severely lowered. At the beginning this only applied to my arms. Since I was still a kid, and a fairly active one when it came to outside activities, it often occurred that I fell while playing outside and ended up in the hospital every single time (for a period of time it was like once a week) because my parents thought I'd broken my arm or wrist etc. And this was never the case and the doctors were so confused. And I was in so much pain.
Two years later I also started having lots of stomach problems. I ended up in the hospital again and they removed my appendix because the only logical explanation for my stomach pain, in the eyes of these doctors, was an inflammation of the appendix. It wasn't the case though. I still have lots of stomach problems to this day and I guess its just part of the fibromyalgia.
Over the following years the pain just got worse and worse and worse. I developed raynauds (my fingers just turned blue and hurt a lot) and my skin started to become very sensitive to the point where even wearing clothes hurt.
I got the diagnosis fibromyalgia approx 5 months after my eighteenth birthday. So it took them about 7 years to find out what was going on with my body. At age fourteen I was also misdiagnosed with rheumatism and took medication for that for about 2 years. Obviously it didn't help.
Symptoms like back pain, bladder issues, migraines etc appeared as well.
I sadly can't 100% recall anymore in which order my fibromyalgia symptoms started to appear since I've had it for 12 years now. I only remember that it started with this lower pain tolerance shortly after my accident.
Here is a list of symptoms I have that not necessarily have to point to fibromyalgia but since I have these, I thought I'd just list them:
wide spread muscle pain
joint pain
fatigue and headaches/migraines
stomach pain and ibs
back pain
bladder issues, the urge to pee a lot, pain in the bladder like its inflamed
skin sensitivity
cramps in my legs
restless leg syndrome
raynayds syndrome
insomnia
not feeling rested no matter how many hours of sleep I got
overall weakness and being exhausted super quick
stiffness
cognitive problems and memory issues
feeling too hot or too cold, especially in the hands and feet
Anxiety
I am not sure if this is any helpful at all but please keep me updated (if thats ok for you!) on how you are doing <3 again, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.

🍓 (I know you said you felt the same about me but... 👀)
Sophieeeeee! Hello! I hope you are feeling a little better now (I accidentally typed ‘bitter’ instead of ‘better’ and was like ... well who isn’t feeling a little bitter these days?)
But yes, let’s go back to the compliment part. I LOVE your blog. I still can’t believe that some anon once walked into my inbox and was like ‘guess what, you and Sophie would be friends’ and I had NEVER heard about your blog before but when I clicked on it I felt like
yes, I just made that with paint please don’t judge me. So yes, very glad that this anon forced us to be friends! ♥
I really like that you are a fellow bread loving german and your posts are just always so relatable. Also, I like that we sometimes talk in English and sometimes talk in German. And just like you said before, it’s quite handy that you are a fellow tag talker (that’s what I just established to say when I wanna talk about people who talk in the tags - as one should) it makes me feel less like a stalker when people put their entire lives in the tags because honestly same.I love that you also blog about stuff I didn’t know yet and therefore you make me discover and learn about new things! Especially when it comes to politics!

9, 12, 15, 28, 32, 41, 44, 52, 56, 66, 69, 73, 96, 98 (there were way too many good ones I'm sorry)
Hello Baby ❤ I am so sorry that this took me so long to answer but I finally!!! did it lmao. Thank you for being so patient with me ily
9. favorite smell in the summer? Ok this is going to sound so weird but I love the smell of swimming pools. And summer rain! And just how summer evenings smell in general! And the smell of garden parties and bbq’s and :’) I just love summer. For me the smell of summer is the smell of happy childhood memories
12. name of your favorite playlist? “The reason I’m smiling”
15. favorite book you read as a school assignment?Die Räuber by Schiller!!!! I just JSGJDGKGA loved it so much! I really wanna reread it this year! And I really hope that I’ll still like this because I read this one when I was like 15
28. five songs to describe you? Anxiety by Julia Micheals, Zero by Imagine Dragons, Someone to you by Banners, Never forget by Take That and Elf vom Niederrhein because I believe that being a hardcore football fan is just part of my dna
32. top five favorite vines? “Hey babe, happy one year” - “I’m 27″“aw fuck I can’t believe you’ve done this”“hey I’m lesbian” - “I thought you were american”“my name is michael with a b and I’ve been afraid of insects my” - “stop stop stop where is the b? - “THERE IS A BEE?”and I leave number 5 open because there are just too many great vines and I cannot decide
41. last person you texted? you ♥
44. favorite scent for soap? anything lemon! And I also love lavender
52. favorite font? Maybe Baskerville 🤔But I’m so used to use times new roman that I don’t think I have a favorite font. I prefer handwritten things if that counts lmao
56. favorite tradition? My sister and I have this tradition of spending time together while we are waiting for “santa”. When she was little we always stood in front of my window and I would point out lights from planes or even stars to her and tell her that it’s santa. And while doing that we always talk about EVERYTHING. And we still do that today (but leave out the “oh look that must be Rudolph's red nose part”)
66. favorite flower(s)? Tulips!
69. a fun fact that you don’t know how you learned? I don’t think I understood this question correctly lmao. As in something I am able to do but don’t remember how I learned to do it? Hmm 🤔 or a fact I know? i’m confusion I’m so sorry
73. favorite weird flavor combo? when I was little I always had grapes on my bread rolls lmao. Like I would poke a hole in my bread roll and then stuff it with grapes until it was full. And it was THE BEST. But my mom always told me not to do that and now I’ve been legally an adult for almost 5 years and I have never tried it again even tho no one can stop me now :(((((
96. desktop background?
98. favorite historical era?THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE QUESTION FROM AN ASK GAME THANK YOU SO MUCH BABY!!! Probably late modern period because ughh yes! But I also love the late middle ages and then, super random now, the 80′s!
