Afton Family Fanfic!

Summary: Since the birth of time, there were two gods. Unknown and unnamed, they assumed ones around the medieval age. The first took the name of William and assumed a more masculine form. The second took the name Clara, assuming a more feminine one.

William was the god of destruction, while Clara of creation. Two beings that balance each other out perfectly, keeping the universe in balance together.

Through their love for each other, they made three new gods. The first being Michael, god of death, a domain gifted to him by his father. Then there was Elizabeth, goddess of Chaos and her twin brother Evan, god of Order.

Or; The Aftons are curious gods with no clue how humans work and decide to make friends.

Hurricane, a small town in Utah. It was the type of town where everyone knew everyone and their grandma. Newcomers were far and few in between, many only staying a few days for a visit of friends or family then leaving.

Everyone was confused when a rich family seemingly appeared out of the blue. They bought one of the older and larger vacant houses in the town, moving in so suddenly the residents of the town had their suspicions.

A rich family moving into a small town like Hurricane? That sparked a lot of questions from everyone. Possibly they wanted to turn the town into a bustling city, or maybe they wanted to know what it's like to be middle class while still living luxury? No one knew, but everyone wanted to.

Two such people happened to be Henry Emily and his daughter Charlotte, or Charlie as known by her friends. They lived in a small house across from the family, just the two and a dog named Alex.

Henry was a known man in the town, mainly for his failed attempts at a family restaurant business in town. From his lack of funds and management, he struggled but still tried for his dreams. The townsfolk often dismissed him, finding his dream stupid and impossible.

Charlie was known for her helpfulness and kindness. She was a sweet girl with a smile always on her face.

The Aftons were interesting folk to the town. A large and rich family appearing out of the blue in a smalland unknown town raises questions.

They had their reasons, I mean, Gods tend be curious about how humans work, no?

Foolish people pray to a god that doesn't exist, when the gods that do give obvious signs who to look to. The human mind is fascinating.

Only recently did the family decide to get a closer look, assuming human forms and choosing a town to explore.

They were Gods, luxury is the life they live no matter where. So with a little bit of magic, they had a home, money and were settled into their new adventure for the time being.

Edward: Look at how brave Shining Armour is. He rescued the Crystal Empire. He loves his little sister Twily. He loves his wife Cadence. He is a great character.

Toby: Applejack! She is honest and she has a big heart. We're both seen as rundown by the others, but we could care less. We just want to do what's right.

Emily: Aww, Cadence is so cute! So pink and feminine and magical. Who couldn't love the pony princess of love?

Percy: Sweetie Belle is soooooo cuuuute! (squeals) Look at how small she is! Baby unicorn! I just want to squeeze her!

Well, as I've always asked it about the Afton Kids, I may as well ask about the favourite & least favourite activities of the Murdered kids as well? And perhaps the Emily's too, although no pressure there if it is too much of an ask. Sometimes even I forget just how many characters there are to ask about. XD

Totally, I wouldn't mind doing all of them! This will be quite a long post (which explains why this is a little late haha) but thankfully that's why we have the read more option, answers below as usual!

Okay, so we'll start with the Emilys first (just to get them out of the way /lh), more specifically, Henry. He, unlike William, actually liked making robots. He took that class in college for a reason! (He's the one who came up with an animatornic restaurant idea...) and when he was younger, he loved partying. He came from a very strict and religious household, so once he got his independence from them, he went wild! He'd mellow down in his later years as a dad. Speaking of dad, he also cherished anytime he'd get to spend with Charlotte, sometimes they'd bicker and stuff, but all families do that. She's his daughter, and he wouldn't trade her for anything in the world (ow) . And finally, one of his top 3 activities is...making money! He's a business man (and he used to be a very selfish one before Charlie's death) so running his business was one of his tops priorities. And since Henry is religious, he also liked going to church (he's also one of those parents who would force their kids to go to church with them no matter what, I would know because my parents do that shit too lmao)

For least favorite, being active LMAO (Charlie ended up being a tomboyish sporty girl, the total opposite of his wife and who he thought his daughter would take after, so constantly playing soccer or basketball or anything like that always wore him and made him feel bad that he couldn't keep up with her) He also doesn't like decorating because it reminds him of Barb (so when it came to the restaurant he'd let William or the other employees handle the decorations, and when it came to holidays he wouldn't really participate, Charlie would try her best to though!) Speaking of holidays, he doesn't do those either, which really annoyed Charlie since sometimes he'd try and get her to not go trick or treating or go caroling or go on Easter egg hunts (cause yk he's pretty overprotective!) He also doesn't like being by himself, it stresses him out quite a ton (and after severals years he'll grow to hate being alone since he was lonely as hell after Charlie died, and also cause he got locked away in a mental institution)

Okay moving onto his dead wife, Barbara! (Yeah I know she's dead and she's not actually important in the long run, but also, this is my account and I do as I please) She definitely adored decorating, she liked special occasions and holidays and all that jazz so she went above and beyond to make anything she made or used stand out when it came to girlypopping her house. She's a pretty 'traditional' girly girl, so one can expect her to like cooking and baking and shopping and getting her nails done (or things like that) when she was pregnant she really hoped for a girl since she wanted to do all those things with her (if she did live then she would've been a tad disappointed that Charlie ended up less traditionally feminine than her but she'll do her best to support her no matter what)

For least favorite, she didn't like partying (I mean like crazy, drunk and messy parties like Henry would throw during college) because she enjoys peace and quiet so that life was definitely not for her (so it's quite a shock that she even got interested in Henry since he was the polar opposite of her), she didn't like going out in bad weather because it would 'ruin her clothes' (bad weather to her applies to really cloudy days or any days without the sun in general) overall she didn't like getting messy, so painting or going to waterparks or things like that was a no from her! She is an indoor person (wow hey just like me!)

Okay, now onto Charlie. She liked sports (mostly soccer) and doing exercise and stuff (she probably really liked PE, which like can't relate 💀), she has quite a lot of energy and vigor! But like I said in her headcanon post, she still enjoyed girly activities like dress up and playing with dolls. She liked listening to older music (remember that the first half of the story is in the 80s, so by older music I mean during Henry's time of the 50s and 60s and 70s) and she was pretty great at dancing! (Before anyone says something about "Charlie isn't like that in the books!!" Just to remind, I don't care about the books and I don't like them, this is my rewrite/re-imagining of the FNAF GAMES. I'll only include some details of the books that I like into my story, which are not many. So no Carlson or Jessica or whatever is going on in any of that stuff)

Now onto her least favorite! She doesn't like school stuff (as one would expect), it's not difficult at all for her, she gets good grades and is naturally smart, but she prefers playing outside and having fun than reading books and writing math problems. She also HATES going to church because she finds it boring, which really bothers Henry (and he thinks she got this mentality from Lizzie, who also doesn't attend church because the Aftons don't believe in God with a capital G) Speaking of the Aftons, it's sometimes a 50/50 chance things will go fine anytime she hangs out with their family (cause yk they're really not a normal family) so sometimes she'll be hesitant to hang out with Elizabeth cause she is a little...okay VERY temperamental, Charlie has to walk on thin ice when it comes to playing with her (and on some occasions Evan, she once joked that he was the loneliest boy she knew and he cried and ran away from her) She also sometimes doesn't like being near Mike, he's a huge jerk to his brother and because she doesn't know the full extent of all the abuse that happened in the family, she just thinks that Mike is being mean just to be mean. And when she becomes the puppet she also hates being in the music box (But like it's not like Jeremy can just let her leave cause yk then she'll kill him 🤷) she hates being alone, just like everyone else I've mentioned beforehand lol

Okay so now that those guys are done, I'll speed run a bit through the MCI/KCI kids (mostly because I expect no one to really be interested in reading all that, and also cause I haven't fully fleshed out their interests or anything like that, they're important but not *that* important yk?)

Okay for Susie, she loves hanging out with her dog Quentin! As a matter of fact she's a nature and animal lover, so she likes dogs and cats and birds and going outdoors to smell flowers, or whatever I suppose. (She didn't have a lot of human friends but she was fine with the critters!) She also loved feminine interests publicly, but secretly also harbored an interest in video games (hence why she played that Fruity Maze thing)

For least favorite, she doesn't like 'boy hobbies' (her words not mine), so sports and roughhousing and all of those things are off the table. (She felt a little shameful that she liked video games since that's stuff for boys in her mind, hence why she kept it a secret from everyone) Susie also dislikes shopping cause all the choices seem too extreme for her. She also doesn't like going anywhere without her dog, so when he disappeared, she was super distraught about it

Now onto Gabriel, he wanted to become a detective when he grew up, so one can expect him to be writing notes (or clues) in his journal, or snooping into things that he shouldn't be. He is pretty nosy, but it calls it 'investigating like a professional' (Everyone just calls him a nerd 💀 he totally was though) He is basically the Huey or Dipper of the MCI. So he enjoys getting into other people's business for the sake of knowing what's going on (he is indeed a know it all)

For least favorite, manual work. His family doesn't really think his dream career will really take him anywhere in life so they often put him to work to try and get him to move on, so he'd get stuck helping his dad on his job or helping his brothers. Or even worse, helping his mom out with his baby sister. He also hated getting out of bed early (he is not the earliest bird 😭)

Now onto Jeremy, uh, he really liked sleeping and chilling (join the club) he doesn't get that a lot in his household so he takes any opportunity to relax and wind down. He also really likes going to the beach or the pool (even if the crowds are loud and annoying) He also enjoys book reading and music. Anything that calms one down basically.

For least favorite, going to school, he too also has 'school loser' syndrome so he would get bullied often and thus doesn't really like talking to people. (And also cause school work stressed him out a lot too) He hates going to amusement parks or parties or things like that because again, they're too damn much! So he's another introvert.

Moving onto someone who isn't one, Fritz! He really enjoys making chaos, he's like Horrid Henry basically except he's not 🇬🇧 thank god, and also his pranks aren't meant to be mean spirited on purpose. He likes being loud and crazy and overall enjoys having a ton of fun.

For least favorite, funnily enough he doesn't like playing sports (he thinks their rules are too restricting and he likes free play more) he also doesn't really like school, his teacher would be really strict on him because he was a 'rambunctious brat', and also his classmates thought of him as a 'Fregley', so like a weird and unpopular kid. He likes his independence and hates authority (except his mom and grandparents 🫶)

Okay so now we head towards Cassidy, she didn't have friends either (these kids are so damn lonely!! I mean it's for storytelling and metaphors and angst so yk 🤷) so she'd turn to books, comics, movies and TV for entertainment. And boy did she love them! She became really fascinated with all the adventures she'd see on those things and wanted her life to be just as incredible and to get away from the hell that is Utah to become...anything she wanted! She also enjoyed history as she found it amazing that the events she would read or watch about like, actually occurred!

Okay for least favorite activities, being dead (💀💀) okay okay besides that, she also didn't like talking to people, mainly adults because they would see her as undesirable and thought little of her because of her albinism (cause yk she's an orphan and people didn't adopt cause of that) and also she didn't like kids because they would bully her too for being and looking 'weird'. She also didn't like being stuck with Evan in Fredbear/Golden Freddy.

Okay now onto the KCI/DCI kids lmao, first off, Christine. She is a pretty typical nerd girl of the 80s, so it's common to see her bury her face in books and homework and be studious. But she also enjoyed shopping and putting on cute clothes, albeit she didn't do it as much as her sister because she thought pretty clothes would look bad on her because she's 'uglier'. She's also another closed off and reserved person (mainly because of her social anxiety) She also enjoys cleaning and keeping things tidy and neat.

For least favorite, hanging out with Holly's school friends (excluding Jonathan but she still doesn't like him lmao), she'd usually get ignored a lot by them or they'd use her for homework. She doesn't like spending time with her family, also because they favor Holly more over her. And as we already know she doesn't like hanging out with Jonathan either. She thought he would be the kind of boy who would ask out ugly chicks as a prank or just be overall shallow about appearances (in reality, Chris was actually the judgemental one because Jonathan ISN'T a jerk despite the fact he was a conventionally attractive boy but she just assumed he would be, just like how she assumes her sister to be vain and mean)

Onto Holly, she too is a fellow girly girl, so getting nails done or going to the hair salon is one of her favorite things to do. She also likes reading magazines (that are meant for teenage girls, what is she doing reading them at 11 YEARS OLD 😭), and watching movies and TV (cause yk she wanted to be a famous celebrity when she got older, so she'd base off her mannerisms and quirks from shows and stuff) she loved going to the mall and buying expensive things (thank goodness the Bennets are upper middle class cause dear lord the spending these girls do...) and she really liked holidays where she can dress extravagantly like Christmas or Halloween or whatever. And singing and dancing, I told yall she was inspired by Britney Spears and other child stars of the 80s and 90s.

Least favorite activities, cooking (she's horrible at it, Holly said she'll hire maids and chefs when she gets rich so she won't have to cook), arts and crafts, cause yk it's messy and stuff. And she also hates being active because always makes her sweaty (yet for some reason she idolized cheerleaders and ballerinas and thought of them as peak teenage beauty, as if they don't make you just as tired). She also thought going to school was boring too.

For Jonathan, he loves going outside and being happy and socializing with his (two) friends and shit (his step parents usually lock him away to do chores and housework, very Cinderella esque) and he was indeed a skater boy, she said see ya later boy, he wasn't good enough for her (okay fine I'll stop but he did skateboard and go bicycling and he knew some pretty sick tricks) he still liked quieter activities like coloring books and reading comics. (I would also add watching TV and movies but he doesn't get to do that a lot)

Least favorite, being with his step parents (they are pretty abusive, like I said he is Cinderella esque), on some occasions spending time with Holly, she'd get a little touchy with him by trying to hold his hand or hug him and he really hates physical touch. He also doesn't really like gossiping, which is a thing that Holly did a lot, and it made him uncomfortable. He also hates being alone. (At least his friends went with him in death,,,)

Next up is Brandon! He's a gamer, so of course he loves playing video games to the CORE. You should usually expect him to be high on the high score of Arcade games (plus his addiction to games was not helped by the fact his dad worked at a company that made game consoles, so he'd get early access to devices that haven't hit the shelves yet!) He too also loves TV cartoons and comics (and he is indeed another introverted character, he doesn't need real friends when he's already got his games) he has an entire collection of VHS tapes of TV episodes and movies he loves.

Least favorite activities, basically anything that requires going outdoors. He hates family road trips too, which really sucks for him because it's a yearly thing his family does. Hates sports, hates talking with other people, hates shopping (unless it's for new games or VHS tapes, and 9/10 it's not that), hates taking photos, hates going to school (his teachers would usually confiscate his things) and just doesn't like being in public. he's a loner, basically.

Okay FINALLY we made it to our last dead kid, Tommy. Tommy was also kind of a naughty and troublemaking kid, but instead of doing it for fun he did it for attention (living in a house with 7 siblings is quite a challenge!) So he also liked making messes and being annoying. He liked spending time with his family despite the fact he'd get neglected (because who else is there for him to hang out with? He didn't attend school yet) he loves going shopping for toys and candy (his parents would get him gifts to make him leave them alone) and he LOVED playing with his siblings. They didn't care too much for him so they'd only play with him whenever their parents told them to (Tommy didn't know that of course so he really thought they just liked playing with him)

For least favorite activities, he hates quiet time (it's basically his parents locking him in his bedroom to make him not bother them) cause they'd leave him in there for pretty long stretches of time. He hates being alone also, since he really likes attention (so becoming BB was also inconvenient for him, the only way for him to get Jeremy's attention is to be obnoxious!!)

Wanted to post more about this AU since it’s been on my mind for a bit, so here’s some info about the Daycare Attendants along with their work attire. Apologies for it this comes off as word vomit

Base Info: This au takes place after the events of Security Breach with the events of the Ruin DLC (mainly Bonnie and the Mimic) occurring months after the pizzaplex’s reconstruction in this au. Henry Emily doesn’t die in Pizza Sim and later (around his 70s) becomes the CEO of FazBear during the reconstruction of the pizzaplex. The virus upped the affected animatronics worse tendencies to 11 (Roxy’s confidence = narcissism, Monty’s anger = “punch first, ask never”, etc.)

Design: Not sure why, but when I saw Fizzarolli from Helluva Boss, his limbs were what I constantly imagined Sun and Moon having so they do. Sun has more rays to help flesh out his head while Moon has a longer night cap, because it looked nice. Both have moveable face plates however Moon’s expressions are more limited due to being nap time. I’ve seen people write about Sun and Moon having a chest cavity but never seen one explained or in a design, so it’s a bit more obvious that they have one. Moon’s chest cavity usually holds glow-in-the-dark moon and star stickers that are used during nap time and the cavity can switch out to a speaker where Moon can play music from. Sun also has a chest cavity (look at previous post about this au) which has six “drawers” allowing him to hold more items. Moon has both the wire cable and a floating mechanism while Sun just has the wire. It also may be harder to tell with my art but Moon is smaller than Sun. Sun has more bells than Moon due to his role as playtime, Moon has less because she doesn’t want to accidentally wake up the kids. Both attendants have wardrobes and have multiple outfits they can wear around kids. Moon’s face is more feminine due to some parents complaining about no female attendant in the daycare, so when Sun and Moon got a redesign, Moon’s face leaned more feminine while Sun’s leaned more masculine.

Sun: The older of the two. Sun had been affected with the virus, though it only made him more hyper and unhinged as he would accidentally bruised kids without knowing due to playing a bit too rough. After the virus was purged, Sun was a bit more mellowed out though he still will move around. Sun mostly deals with kids from preschool age to early middle school (6th grade specifically). Sun uses he/him pronouns and can get excited easily. Sun stands at 6’2. Sun’s outfit is more breathable and more active or sporty while still looking like a jester.

Moon: The younger of the two. Originally a last minute addition to the Daycare. Moon was fully affected by the virus, merging their security and nap time protocols together making her more irritable and hand out punishments more. After the virus was purged, Moon was more chill and calm like before the virus though his security protocols got upgraded to be on a timed schedule. Moon usually deals with slightly older kids from middle school to high school (7th to 12th) and will usually help kids with homework. Moon uses any and all pronouns (he/she/they) and despite being an introvert, loves hanging out with the children of the daycare. Moon stands at 5’10. Moon’s outfit is more poofy and soft to look more friendly.

Hopefully my ramblings are understandable, but also explain both the au slightly and some creative liberties I took when designing these two. I have more ideas that I’m more than happy to share

ohhhhhhh my god it just hit me that vanessa shelly sticks to the "feminine first name used as a surname" scheme set up with william afton (a habitational name originating in the scottish river of the same name; actually gender-neutral, but is the most popular name for girls in utah) and henry emily (one of the most popular names for girls in the western world)........... shelly is both a potential diminutive of michelle and an alternate spelling of shelley, the surname of frankenstein's author (meaning 'clearing on a bank').............

FNAF AU- Clean Up Time

Ship: Springtrap x Self insert

Word count: 785

Summary: The after math of the events of FNAF 1, where a clean up crew is hired by Henry Emily to help refurbish and confiscate the animatronics.

Paige is apart of that clean up crew and decides to leave the rest of her crew mates to finish the job, all the while exploring the rest of the pizzaria. Only to end up in parts and services, to find the one and only William Afton. AKA, Springtrap.

CHAPTER TWO

Help… Never think I would get it for myself. Being trapped in this hellhole for so long, never to seek salvation. But here she was, aiding me and repairing me. I… I never thought I would get another chance at life. But here she was.

That very help.

But would she know who I was? Now that was the big question. If she did KNEW, then that’ll be the end of this budding relationship.

Child murderer, family killer, those aren’t green flags.

Best to play dumb, but not that dumb…

“So… Thirty-one years… Didn’t think an animatronic would be stuck in here.” Paige spoke up, breaking the silence between them. As she never recognized who Springtrap was. So that was a sign.

Springtrap tilts his head as he allows Paige to re-tighten its joints. It could feel its arm move. So it starts to lift its arm up and down, showing that Paige did a good job. “Thank you… Tell me, did your employer tell you anything else…? W-Why are you here?” Springtrap asks.

“Just to clean up the Pizzeria and take back the animatronics to my boss.” Paige answers back. But she could feel another question coming.

“Just who’s your boss?”

“Henry Emily…”

Now that name was familiar, way too familiar. How was he still alive?! Springtrap was perplexed as it didn’t like this man. The very man who drove it mad. Springtrap let out a grunt of annoyance.

“Henry… Not a very good man.”

“How do you know…?” Paige asks.

Springtrap freezes, as it didn’t mean to drop that tidbit of information. It huffs as it turns its head to the side.

“He… He wasn’t a good man to be around. Always berating us.”

“That’s not very nice…” Paige comments back as she goes down to Springtrap’s legs to tighten the bolts.

“No. He’s not…” Springtrap remarks back.

Springtrap thinks back as it needed to know why Henry was wanting to clean the pizzeria and take away the main four with him. That didn’t seem right, why care about an old location now? This place would be burnt down if it was in charge. To get rid of the terrible memories that lingered on this place. The mistakes that it made, and put it behind Springtrap.

“Would it be possible for me to speak to him?” It asked.

“Eh?” Paige looks confused.

“Can I speak to him…?” Springtrap asks again.

“I don’t know… I don’t think he would be too happy to speak to you.”

“And how would that be an issue?” Springtrap asks again.

“I… I don’t know. Anything that I’ve asked about his past, he shuts me down.” Springtrap hums before it sees Paige finishes working on it, and slowly starts to push itself up. It grunts as it presses its digits against the wall, huffing and coughing till it was on both of its feet.

“He isn’t good at moving on… Is he?” Springtrap asks.

“No he isn’t…” Paige shakes her head and looks at the door before looking back at Springtrap.

“This might be personal… But pronouns?” She asks.

Springtrap shook its head and looked away. It never felt that it was a ‘he’ anymore. Since becoming who it was.

“It, its…? I don’t consider myself for either masculine or feminine pronouns…”

“She, they…” Paige answers back.

“Oh shit…”

Paige shakes her head as she stands up to hear heavy metal and bones crunching, muffled from the other side of the door. It made her cringe and hold her arm. Giving a disgusted look.

“What’s going on…? Springtrap?”

“Them.” Springtrap answers sternly.

“Who’s th--” Paige was interrupted as she felt her mouth get covered by Springtrap’s servo. Being held close to its body, being told to keep quiet.

STOMP STOMP STOMP

There were creaking and old parts moving. A low humming noise could be heard. That someone was at the door. As there was a heavy scrapping at the door, like nails on a chalkboard.

Paige had a wide eye look of fear, of who could be on the other side of that door? But she didn’t want to find out, as someone else caught its attention.

A hiss could be heard before it tramples away to follow the new sounds.

“T-Them?” Paige asks between Springtrap’s fingers.

“Them…” Springtrap remarks back.

The animatronics were on the loose, and one by one-- The crew that Paige came with, were being slaughtered one by one. That soon it’ll be only them. Only them with four killer animatronics that would be out to get them soon enough.

Just two vs four… Not good odds.

I can't bc i wanna write it all out in my FIC which - chapter 3 is in the works I promise. BUT I can give some things!

Charlie survived the attack on her life, but upon surviving the attack, she was met with another stunt in her life - being removed from public schooling and locked in the Emily household.

She is hardly able to have guests over at this time, so sometimes Michael climbs into her window to hang out.

She is never seen without the Marionette attached to her back, looming over her as a second shadow. It was made to guard and protect, and so it will do exactly that.

It's flipped Michael many times already.

Charlie likes to dress femininely, contrary to most fandom & comic/novel choice. She just doesn't care about what looks good, so she is a fashion disaster often. She enjoys wearing lip gloss most over lipstick - but will sometimes try it out. Likewise, she gets her hair texture from her father Henry, wavy hair, fluffy.

Charlie loves rabbits due to Theodore and how kind Sweet Bonnie is to her (uncle Will), she likes both original Sweet Bonnie and the 'new' Bonnie. She's seen the papers for Toy Bonnie and think they look neat too!

rules: list your top 9 books (duh) but i will be cheating a little bit - combining authors and giving honourable mentions, because i can

tagged by @wherepoetsdie, thank you michelle i love ranting about my favourite books but also this is gonna be SO. HARD.

1 : the starless sea / the night circus by erin morgenstern - both of these books are exactly my kinda vibe. the worldbuilding, the romance depicted, the portrayal of magic and surrealism, both books remained in my head for MONTHS after first reading them. i think both of these books perfectly fit my criteria for 5 star reads on goodreads - books that cracked open my skull and altered my psyche

2 : the youthful you who was so beautiful by jiu yue xi - so is your comfort book an incredibly niche chinese book that doesn't even have a proper english translation and publication, or are you normal?? i read this book late last year, reread it early this year, and already have been wanting to reread it for months. the writing is by no means perfect, but there is something about this story that i will never get enough of. chen nian and bei ye's relationship, the stress on their characters and the trials they face, it all just. it all breaks me i want every single person to read it but also they have to GET IT.

3 : jane eyre by charlotte bronte - this book has remained a staple for me for years. the first time i read it (when i was 12) i actually didn't like it, but every reread since has solidified my love for jane's character and the beautifully twisted love story of her and rochester.

4 : little women by louisa may alcott - again, a childhood staple. there is something so incredibly magical and intimate, the story of the march sisters, and so many good lessons on love and childhood and family and ambitions! jo march has and always will be *my* heroine, she gets me and i get her and she pulls the strings in my heart in an aching way

5 : i'll give you the sun by jandy nelson - this may be my no. 1 favourite book of this year. it's just such a beautiful story of grief and sibling relationship, a book that truly feels like a coming of age and is written in a way that some would call pretentious - which means it spoke to me, personally <3

6 : deathless by catherynne m valente - i guess you can tell that i prefer books that have prose > plot lol. again, this book is just so beautifully told and i'm a sucker for slightly-fucked-up relationships akfjdsk <3

7 : pachinko by lee minjin - this is possibly my favourite historical fiction i've read. there is So Much to this book, talk of femininity and motherhood and immigration and race and so much more. it's all beautifully told and has some of the best characters i've ever read.

8 : beartown by fredrick backman - if you know, you know. i am going to read anxious people soon (will probably be my next read) there is just something in the ways that fredrick backman writes and weaves dozens of narritives on community and girlhood and friendship and parenting and love and loss and grief and everything that these books are about.

9 : all for the game by nora sakavic - listen. listen. listen. i feel like i HAVE to include this series. not everyone will get it!! but i do!! this series is literally crack cocaine. batshit insane plot and the most intricate of characters and messy dynamics and found family and made me feel feral. enough said.

Elijah had been working his way up the social ladder for years, finding his place amongst the rich and famous and otherwise heavily endowed. Young and still quite naïve, Rem has been known to party hard, almost always found with a drink in hand or a cigarette between his teeth. Whether or not these deaths had anything to do with himself is still rumoured in some smaller circles uninterested in the flashy, flamboyant, fashionable young gent full of charisma, spark, and a baby face that makes it hard to accuse him of much of anything.

Other: - may or may not have committed and gotten away with murders in the past - has been having private intimate relations with Hawthorne prior to his murder - engages in prostitution, but also does acting and modelling work - despite all of the money he’s gathered from jumping from sugar daddy to sugar mommy, Rem has done a rather splendid job of entirely blowing it all as he goes - moves on to another lover as soon as money dries up or he gets bored of their company - uses any and all pronouns, gender expression leans to the more feminine side - arrogant, selfish, obnoxious, drinks too much, high all the time, hates when people touch his hair, has a temper yet to be seen by most, been to jail for public indecency - charismatic, charming, fashionable, funny, enthusiastic, attention whore, dramatic - the kind of person that would fake an injury for attention - loves glitter

i had a few! some favorites include: murder in the family by cara hunter, the death i gave him by em x. liu, ghosted by amanda quain, a very lively murder by katy watson, happy place by emily henry, chloe and the kaishao boys by mae coyiuto, this time it’s real by ann liang, and what lies in the woods by kate alice marshall

i also loved enter the body by joy mccullough and begin again by emma lord, but while both of those released this year, i read arcs of them in 2022, so i didn’t really feel like they counted lol

25. what reading goals do you have for next year?

mostly to just not put so much pressure on myself when it comes to reading and reading a specific number of books throughout the year!

Edward-He has a rather posh Scottish accent with a bit of flamboyance in it, similar to John Inman’s character, Mr Humphries.

Gordon-He has a mixture of a Scottish and standard British accent (Because of his mother) he has a deep voice.

Met Gala 2023 Presented By Me

With this year's theme being "in honor of Karl Lagerfeld", a fashion designer whom I'm learning from the fashion community is "ew", lets see what we got:

~The Models~

-Rihanna being fashionably late, wearing an egg?-like top that opens to reveal a simple yet beautiful dress (she's got a baby bump!); the "no shit" was iconic honestly

-Jared Leto fursuit (its cause he was dressing as Lagerfeld's cat)

-Harvey Guillen coming through with a lovely floral suit, I'm not usually one for light pink but his was very pretty

-Who let Lil Nas X have access to the arts and crafts box (but he looked stunning, the mask was gorgeous and he's got more confidence than most to pull off what I'm now calling a Full Bedazzle)

-Kristen Stewart going full butch queer, the eyebrows and hair were rugged inspired and most didn't like it but I think that was the point?

-Pedro Pascal and his knee against the world (as well as spreading the red is superior agenda cause it is)

-^ but with Salma Hayek cause holy shit this is the red agenda

-Bryan Tyree Henry continuing to remind me how much my taste in men has improved over the years because he is so fucking fine ANYWAY-

-Lizzo giving me feminine gender envy despite the odds

-Janelle Monae doing a Janelle Monae as is customary (I'd love to know what the inspo was for her if so let me know!)

-Bella Ramsey you are so gender thank you (and they served too, the Thom Browne suit with the white accents is simple yet very classy)

-Every year I give one (1) free pass for a man to wear a standard suit, this year goes to Ke Huy Quan because I couldn't say anything bad about him if I tried (at least he had some style, the fingerless gloves were cool)

-Obligatory Gwendoline Christie was there and existed comment by me because I am in love and I am not ashamed of it

-Florence Pugh's fit had mixed reactions, the shaved head, headdress and white dress look were really good but I think the way the dress came out had people not fully digging it, I can understand but I'll appreciate it nonetheless

-Anne Hathaway in all her fuzzy glory (the hair's a beehive on a very felted dress but like it worked? marks for originality and being able to pull it off)

-Loved Stephanie Hsu's bedazzled suit, won't be able to stop thinking about it actually

-Tems was stunning, I'm a huge fan of the floating leaves design we need more nature-inspired looks

-Olivier Rousteing and Jeremy pope slaying with their "Karl who?" and cape apparel

-Gotta shout out Yara Shahidi for going with something unique, the pearl's color palette works surprisingly better than I expected with the gold (personally I would have more gold trim in the top half but that's just me)

-Let Lady Gaga's outfit for the Met Gala this year be a lesson in misinformation because the pictures circulating Tumblr are not in fact from the 2023 Met, she didn't attend (it is a stunning outfit though)

-Jenna Ortega looking almost like a dapper pirate in the absolute best way possible the gender envy the style I am going insane

-Doja Cat living up to her name (Cats should take notes honestly the makeup was really good. She also kept answering reporter questions by meowing. Because she's Doja. Anyway.)

-Anok Yai's dress reminds me of those ornate beaded lampshades, I wonder if that's where she/her designer got the idea

-Emily Blunt giving me gay panic once again WHY IS SHE SO GORGEOUS (she's got a giant fucking bow tie that's what clowns wear why is she able to pull it off this is so unfair)

-Conan Gray looked like an actual prince I am obsessed

-I saw someone said Cardi B was giving goth Barbie and that is honestly the best way to describe it

-Yung Miami having a beautiful look cause her outfit was underrated this year

-I thought Emily Blunt and Bryan Tyree Henry were all I had to worry about and then Julia Garner came in with a steel chair

-Ella Fanning's look captivating me specifically

-And cause I can't comment on every person or we'd be here all day, go check out the underrated outfits from Amanda Seyfried, Alton Mason, Glenn Close, Sora Choi, Ava Max, Jessica Chastain, Taika Waititi and many more!

~Final Thoughts~

-The palette this year was very black and white... literally. Lots of outfits in black, white, or both. I'm not really into the fashion community so I wouldn't know but I'm guessing its a signature theme of Lagerfeld's? Let me know! I'm always down to learn more about other communities and their history

-I'm also assuming Lagefeld's got a thing for flowers cause there were a lot of flowers imbedded into the outfits, they looked lovely~

-As well as long flowy dress/coat tops cause there were a lot, and I loved how people mixed it in with the flowers. Lots of the men did it this year and it looked fantastic

-Speaking of, I'm proud of the men for actually dressing up this year omfg its insane how many male celebrities will go to a literal fashion event and pull up with nothing but a plain ass suit and though most of them this year did wear suits, there was much pizazz. Like, actual life put into those outfits. So yeah, you love to see it

-Overall, a very nice Met Gala. The crazy stuff came from the usual people who go all out, and we got plenty of highlights from people who embraced the theme, with the occasional unique look to really stick it out

Summary - You and your boyfriend, Henry are out at dinner with friends, but you don’t feel good at all, and just want to go home. You leave early but a certain someone wants to be with you too.

Word Count - 931

Type of one-shot - Comfort or fluff

Your throat was dry and sore, no matter how hydrated you were the soreness wouldn’t go away. You were also on your period, right now your cramps were at an all time high for pain, maybe it was the worse they have ever been. You sighed quietly to yourself.

All you wanted to do was go home and lay in bed, that sounded like the best thing in the world to you right now. You finally had enough and you decided to say your goodbyes.

“Hey guys I think I’m going to leave.” You said getting up slowly from the table. “I’ll give you money for the drink I got.” You took your wallet from out of your pocket and took out at least 5 bucks.

“Awww.. Already [Name]? We haven’t even ordered food yet..” Your friend Lulu said frowning. Henry looked at you and also frowned. William just kept a neutral face.

“Yeah, I’m not feeling very well.. I’ll see you guys later though!” You said smiling fondly, while walking away and waving. They all waved back and you walked outside of the restaurant to your car.

You started to drive away to your house, you couldn’t wait to lay down and relax.

You got home and left your car, you unlocked the front door, went inside and went to your room putting on some pj’s. You took some medicine and then you threw yourself on your bed.

Ring!

“What the hell..” You muttered while walking to the front door to see who rang at the door. You opened the door and was greeted by non other then Henry Emily.

“Henry? Shouldn’t you be at dinner with everyone?” It has only been a few minutes since you left. You looked at him guiltily, you should have just sucked up the pain..

“I wanted to be with you, that’s the whole reason I went to dinner.” You smiled faintly and moved out of the way so he can come in. “What’s wrong Sweetie?” He said before kissing you.

“I don’t feel very well… My period cramps are bad, and I have a sore throat..” I said while frowning.

He looked at me sympathetically and frowned. “Aww.. Sweetie, I’m sorry you feel terrible… Here, how about you go lay down and let me get you some stuff. OK?” I smiled again and nodded my head.

“Okay..” He kissed me one last time before I walked back to my room.

HENRY’S POV.

I took one of her sets of keys and left to go to the drug store. I got in my car and started driving to the Walgreens ten minutes from here. The only thought that was in my head the whole drive was how I didn’t do care to ask how she was feeling before hand… If I paid attention a little more I could have canceled dinner and stayed home by her side, but I didn’t care to ask..

I finally got to the store, I stopped the engine and got out of the car, I walked into the store and got a basket, I then immediately walked to the feminine care isle. I was pretty confused on what type of tampon sizes to get… Light, regular, or super… Fuck it, I’ll just get each one. I put each one in the basket. I also got a few boxes of pads in case she didn’t use tampons. I then went to the candy isle to get some of her favorite candies. I also got her her favorite drink and two bottles a Fiji water.

Last of all, I got her some Advil for cramps and the sore throat, and some cough syrup for the sore throat also. Once I finished getting everything I walked to the cashier lane. It was my turn and I put all the stuff down on the counter.

“Your girlfriend or wife is going through her period huh?” The cashier said smiling while she rang me up.

“Haha, yeah…” I said rubbing the back of my neck smiling back.

“We need more men like you, your total is $30.35.” I smiled and got a little flustered from her comment. I took my wallet out and inserted my card. Once the payment was successful I took my card back out and she gave me by bag with the receipt in it. “Have a nice night.”

“You too.” I said while walking away I put the basket back and walked out with the bag in my hand. I got in the car and drove home.

I had finally made it back and I unlocked the front door and went in. I took off my shoes and walked to her room. “Hey Henry..” [Name] said tiredly while she was covered up scrolling through her phone.

“Hey sweetie.” I smiled at her and got on the other side of the bed. I gave her the bag. “I got you everything I thought you would need. I’m going to go put on some comfy clothes I’ll be back.” I said kissing her forehead. She nodded and I got the clothes from the closet. Both of us left a little bit of our clothes at each other’s houses whenever we would spend the night I walked into the bathroom and got on dressed into some comfortable pajamas. I finished getting dressed and I walked back to [Name]’s room and laid down next to her cuddled up.

“Y’know you didn’t have to get me all of that..” She said cuddled up against me.

“Oh, yes I did. I would do anything to make you feel the best you can. I love you a bunch sweetie…”

“I love you a bunch too…” [Name] replied, I smiled. I most be the luckiest man in the world…
