Your throat was dry and sore, no matter how hydrated you were the soreness wouldn’t go away. You were also on your period, right now your cramps were at an all time high for pain, maybe it was the worse they have ever been. You sighed quietly to yourself.

All you wanted to do was go home and lay in bed, that sounded like the best thing in the world to you right now. You finally had enough and you decided to say your goodbyes.

“Hey guys I think I’m going to leave.” You said getting up slowly from the table. “I’ll give you money for the drink I got.” You took your wallet from out of your pocket and took out at least 5 bucks.

“Awww.. Already [Name]? We haven’t even ordered food yet..” Your friend Lulu said frowning. Henry looked at you and also frowned. William just kept a neutral face.

“Yeah, I’m not feeling very well.. I’ll see you guys later though!” You said smiling fondly, while walking away and waving. They all waved back and you walked outside of the restaurant to your car.

You started to drive away to your house, you couldn’t wait to lay down and relax.

You got home and left your car, you unlocked the front door, went inside and went to your room putting on some pj’s. You took some medicine and then you threw yourself on your bed.

Ring!

“What the hell..” You muttered while walking to the front door to see who rang at the door. You opened the door and was greeted by non other then Henry Emily.

“Henry? Shouldn’t you be at dinner with everyone?” It has only been a few minutes since you left. You looked at him guiltily, you should have just sucked up the pain..

“I wanted to be with you, that’s the whole reason I went to dinner.” You smiled faintly and moved out of the way so he can come in. “What’s wrong Sweetie?” He said before kissing you.

“I don’t feel very well… My period cramps are bad, and I have a sore throat..” I said while frowning.

He looked at me sympathetically and frowned. “Aww.. Sweetie, I’m sorry you feel terrible… Here, how about you go lay down and let me get you some stuff. OK?” I smiled again and nodded my head.

“Okay..” He kissed me one last time before I walked back to my room.

HENRY’S POV.

I took one of her sets of keys and left to go to the drug store. I got in my car and started driving to the Walgreens ten minutes from here. The only thought that was in my head the whole drive was how I didn’t do care to ask how she was feeling before hand… If I paid attention a little more I could have canceled dinner and stayed home by her side, but I didn’t care to ask..

I finally got to the store, I stopped the engine and got out of the car, I walked into the store and got a basket, I then immediately walked to the feminine care isle. I was pretty confused on what type of tampon sizes to get… Light, regular, or super… Fuck it, I’ll just get each one. I put each one in the basket. I also got a few boxes of pads in case she didn’t use tampons. I then went to the candy isle to get some of her favorite candies. I also got her her favorite drink and two bottles a Fiji water.

Last of all, I got her some Advil for cramps and the sore throat, and some cough syrup for the sore throat also. Once I finished getting everything I walked to the cashier lane. It was my turn and I put all the stuff down on the counter.

“Your girlfriend or wife is going through her period huh?” The cashier said smiling while she rang me up.

“Haha, yeah…” I said rubbing the back of my neck smiling back.

“We need more men like you, your total is $30.35.” I smiled and got a little flustered from her comment. I took my wallet out and inserted my card. Once the payment was successful I took my card back out and she gave me by bag with the receipt in it. “Have a nice night.”

“You too.” I said while walking away I put the basket back and walked out with the bag in my hand. I got in the car and drove home.

I had finally made it back and I unlocked the front door and went in. I took off my shoes and walked to her room. “Hey Henry..” [Name] said tiredly while she was covered up scrolling through her phone.

“Hey sweetie.” I smiled at her and got on the other side of the bed. I gave her the bag. “I got you everything I thought you would need. I’m going to go put on some comfy clothes I’ll be back.” I said kissing her forehead. She nodded and I got the clothes from the closet. Both of us left a little bit of our clothes at each other’s houses whenever we would spend the night I walked into the bathroom and got on dressed into some comfortable pajamas. I finished getting dressed and I walked back to [Name]’s room and laid down next to her cuddled up.

“Y’know you didn’t have to get me all of that..” She said cuddled up against me.

“Oh, yes I did. I would do anything to make you feel the best you can. I love you a bunch sweetie…”

“I love you a bunch too…” [Name] replied, I smiled. I most be the luckiest man in the world…

The thunder was loud to your ears, you were hiding under your dining room table, hugging your knees in your apartment that you shared with Henry. Ever since you were a child you had been afraid of thunder, you felt like it could strike you and kill you. You felt tears prick at your eyes, you had no one to comfort you, you were alone Henry was at work right now.

What would he think about you knowing you had a fear of thunder? He would probably think your childish..

BOOM!

You jumped and let out a little squeak, you held your legs tighter to your chest. Now tears were definitely streaming down your face. You heard the front door open and you looked behind you. It was Henry. He wasn’t supposed to be home yet. You kept on looking at him.

“[Name]?”

Henry called out in a soft voice. He must’ve not saw you. You didn’t say anything and continued to hide under the table. He kept looking around with his eyes until he had looked directly at you.

Henry closed the front door and sprinted over to you. He got on all fours and crawled to where you were. Henry sat next to you and held you close

“Sweetie… What’s wrong..?” Henry asked kindly and lovingly while wiping your tears from your face.

BOOM!!

This time the thunder was louder to your ears. You let out a little scream and quickly put your face to Henry’s chest. He hugged you closer to him.

“Oh…” He said quietly while rubbing your back gently to calm you down, he seemed to realize what was going on. “[Name], the thunder isn’t going to get us… Don’t worry sweetie, you’re safe with me… I’m not gonna let the thunder get you…”

After a while the storm had turned into rain. Now you and Henry are lying in bed all warm and cozy under the covers. The lights were out and only the moon gave light to the room. You’re head was on his chest and Henry had one of his arms around you, while the other hand stoked your hair gently and calmly.

“I love you [Name]..” He said quietly with love in his tone.

“I love you too Henry..”
