Fave romangerri fandom interpretations? Mine is that they’re queer as fuck but that’s basically canon (Gerri historically fucked toms mum)

i have many thoughts on romangerri being kind of queer yes tomgreg is a gay ship for straight people and romangerri is a straight ship for gay people. roman is a bi disaster and gerri’s got secrets and a whole huge past we aren’t privy to so yeah yeah i accept this as bi4bi but it doesn’t really matter because it’s also capitalist4capitalist and their combined crimes and personal flaws cancel out the queer rep. love their non-normative filth. love it.

gerri and tom’s mom are both lawyers. you can’t prove they didn’t fuck.

in terms of other stuff, my fave interpretations are:

- it’s a bit oedipal but also roman has always just thought she’s hot. he’s had a crush on her since he was a child

- gerri fucked logan at some point

- it’s fin-dom as well as fem-dom lol

- roman can actually fuck her eventually

- shiv and the old guard suss it out early on. kendal and logan do not.

- gerri never hits him no matter how much he begs

- she started the whole thing because she is terminally curious and a closet freak but she humoured him as a way of securing a roy to use in her professional power struggle. roman fell hard and fast. post-canon i think she admits she’s got a soft spot, but it takes ages for it to be actually fully reciprocal.

- i think they have a future together like i honestly do. they’re like tom and shiv; breaking up then clawing their way back together

After a year in which the Roy siblings were united to beat their father at his game; they finally give up and choose to make a life away from him. Each one with their own projects, seeing how he continues to expand his kingdom alongside the traitor Tom - who is already divorced from Shiv - and his "liar" cousin Greg. It is not until they find out that his father is being investigated for many crimes of corruption that they all think of meeting again. They discovered through the news that Tom and Greg have left with much of Logan's fortune, they have betrayed him by telling the authorities all the bad things he has done and now they don't know where they are. Confusion mounts when Shiv and the others are contacted by illegal lawyers, each offering them a piece of the fortune or even property they didn't know Logan had. The surprise is plenty: Tom and Greg shared the fortune with them.

But why?

Shiv is the only one who doesn't want to be left with her doubts, so she hires a private investigator only to discover that: 1) Tom is living in Paris, with a new family 2) His name is no longer Tom 3) And Greg is no longer Greg…

NOTE: *Yes, this will be a fanfic, but I'm not going to post it here, I'll post it on Wattpad. Because there is NOTHING about Succession on that platform, although I warn that it will be written in Spanish. *I've seen them handle the concept of Trans Greg in A03 fanfics- and I really love it-, but generally Greg is a trans man. So I wanted to use the opposite: What if Greg was a Trans woman? After all; the Nero/Sporus concept provides this option too-but I'll handle it in a healthier way, not like the myth hahaha-. *And once again, I give credit to @scooptitty-whoop who did the Fem Greg edit, the rest are photos I found on Google and edited everything to look like a movie poster.

this is really inspired by @nyetcafe ‘s fem!tomgreg designs like i saw them was changed forever. i couldn’t relax until i wrote something for their wlw tomgreg. their fem!greg especially just bewitched me and basically that’s what Gwen in this fic looks like so use their drawings as a reference and also follow them and reblog their art ok thx <3

Tomgreg week 2023 day 6: genderbent/wlw tomgreg

Once, Tommy told Gwen that full-grown circus elephants used to be kept in place by a single rope on a small wooden stake. She said when they were babies they couldn’t pull the stake from the ground, and never realized they could uproot a whole tree, much less a pathetic stake when they grew up. These huge animals, big enough to fill an entire room and level the whole circus if they wanted to, still felt so small. And why shouldn’t they? They didn’t know any better.

“I don’t understand,” Gwen said, they were out at a restaurant, and it was seemingly unrelated to the story about her Mom that Gwen had just finished telling.

Tommy stared at Gwen, obviously upset, the beginnings of tears made her eyes glassy and tinged red, but she just shook her head.

“Forget it, Gwen,” she huffed and looked down at her plate. She sniffled. “Eat your food.”

Gwen isn’t sure how it happened.
