Life began to feel so boring. The days blended into one another and suddenly we’re in march. Staying up late catching up on your favorite show because there is nothing better to do right now. One piece was such a breathe of fresh air, full of adventure and characters that seem amazing to be around and explore the world with. You wished to be in the world where u can freely be who you wanted, the world where you weren’t shackled by the burdens of reality.

You’ve been around all the corners of the internet so you know of shifting and astral projection which is exactly what seems to be going on right now. Rewatching episodes leading up to the time skip around 4 in the morning till your eyes flutter shut. Suddenly the wafting scent of the ocean filled your nose. “ Is she a stowaway?” “ How have we just found her we haven’t been on land for over a week now”. You opened your eyes to the snout of a reindeer and other very familiar faces.

You sat up so fast knocking into the poor doctor. Panic set through you because the first assumption anyone would have is that they’re in a dream or— congrats you’ve finally lost your damn mind. “ Who are you people”.

“ We’ve got the same question for you”

“ well I asked first”

The blunt part of a sword was thrust into your face by a very angry green swordsman. Fear etched across your face you give him a once over. Zoro. To your left was Robin and chopper holding his snout on her lap. There should be absolutely no reason that you’re in this world with these wacky 15th century pirates from your goofy anime show. Your voice shakes as you try to convince the green haired man to stop threatening your life.

“ Listen this is surely a misunderstanding, I really don’t understand how I have gotten here and I’m not really too sure who you people are.”

Maybe if they think that I don’t know who they are I can figure out a way to get out of this mess without ruining the story.

“ What is your last memory before you woke up on our ship” a voice from behind spoke. Turning to the left at the top of the stairs was Nami with Sanji following behind her.

“ I was laying in my bed falling asleep and then I woke up here”

After that you were bombarded with questions, what’s your name, your age, if an 8ft skeleton can see your underwear and it nearly drained the life out of you. The sun was now beginning to set after such a long day of being interrogated by the crew you used to watch through a screen. The captain was sitting on the head of the Sunny watching the day fade away when he stretched his arm to you pulling you to sit with him.

It was quiet for a while and nerves began to set in. Does he see through me? I know a lot of people don’t give luffy the credit but he’s way more intelligent than you’d think. “ What is it like where you’re from y/n” he spoke as he turned to face you.

“ Very different.”

“ Tell me about it please”

The sun completely faded into night and the stars littered the sky while you told luffy about “ where you’re from” and he was absolutely entranced by the world he’s never been. You ended up telling Luffy the truth about your origins, somewhat about himself, there was just something so compelling and trusting about him you didn’t think nothing of it. You slept in the girls room next to Nami that night, thinking about the next step and getting home.

Was this really a dream or did your desire to escape mundane life make you shift into this world of unknown.

The next day you went to eat breakfast with the crew and luffy starts spouting all the things you told him the night before. With seemingly no thought behind his words as he swallowed everything on his plate, though his crew members all stopped to stare at you in confusion.

“ I thought you said you weren’t from here?”

“ You said you didn’t know how you got here”

“ Well I wasn’t exactly lying, I really don’t know how or why I’ve been transported into your world. I just didn’t want to scare you or make you think I’m crazy with all of this.”

Over the next few days you were beginning to settle with the crew, you spent hours getting to know everyone and having the most fun you’ve had in years. Nami and Robin were curious about your world and you were more than elated to tell them all the things you enjoyed. The boys liked when you played their silly games, Sanji was obsessed with everything about you and loved having you perched on the counter when he was cooking so you can serve as his taste tester.

Zoro only just began to acknowledge you after finding out you also had a love for drinking, it became really easy to bond with the man. You knew you had to go back but what’s the harm in spending time with such a loving group of people, it’s not everyday someone is given your experience don’t waste it being worried.

You were able to convince Nami to give you a blank sheet of paper where you wrote all the things you knew about shifting and astral projection. You’ve been with the crew over a week now spending every night trying to shift back to your world. Sometimes you feel close others are strangely disturbed by Robin and Nami whether they are sparking up a conversation with you or knocking things over which disturbs your concentration.

The next few days you began to see birds meaning you were finally reaching land, the sabody archipelago. You know the way this arch ends and you need to go home now before you spend two years on an unknown island doing who knows what because YOU aren’t a straw hat and you have no place where you can learn to polish your skills.

The bubbly island became visible and you’d be reaching it by midday, while you were sitting on the head of the Sunny with Luffy again he asked you his million dollar question.

“ Y/n join my crew” he smiled. Your cheeks burned and you had to turn away from the boy whose smile brightened all your days.

“ Luffy I would love to but—”

“ Great- EVERYONE Y/N” you clasped your hand over his mouth.

“ Luffy l can’t join your crew. I have to go home I don’t even belong in this world”

“ Why do you want to leave” sadness dripped from his voice.

“ Yeah, we’ve been having so much fun” the small doctor announced from the deck.

“ It has been very fun I’ll admit but I don’t belong here with you guys. I’ve got a whole life in my world— and a family and just so much to do.” You reasoned.

The rest of the day the crew seemed angry and distant, you simply couldn’t understand why. When they all found out where you really came from they said they would help you get home. During dinner that night you were seated between luffy and Zoro who barley uttered a word while hushed conversations were surrounding the rest of the table. It was insufferable and reminded you of elementary school when someone didn’t want to be your friend anymore and told everyone about it.

“ Luffy are you upset with me? I haven’t done anything wrong”

“ Why do you want to leave? You just joined the crew and were on a new island”

“ I never said I was joining your crew luffy”

“ you know the captain doesn’t take no for an answer y/n” Zoro chuckled.

With a huff you stood up everyone’s eyes landing on you. “ Are you all acting this way because you don’t want me to leave?”

“ Why would we want a crew member to leave us?” Nami’s voice wobbled as tears formed in her eyes. Are they serious? When did u ever agree or tell these people that you were a part of their crew.

“ Listen closely all of you. You have to understand I am not from here, I never joined the straw hats, and I don’t even have any powers I can’t protect myself.”

“ That’s why you have me Y/n-chwaaan”

“ ignore that idiot cook but you have Luffy and I, we wouldn’t let anything happen to you”

“ Who is an idiot you damn moss ball !”

A fight between the cook and the swordsman broke out and you would usually find everything hilarious but…

These people have convinced themselves you are one of them and they don’t want you to leave. You decided tonight will be the night where you will go home with or without their help especially because you already know what’s in store the next day. Laying next to Nami that night waiting for her breathing to even out so you can concentrate with no interruptions you hear soft sobbing.

“ Are you alright Nami..”

“ Y/n I know you want to go back but can you stay a little longer we all care about you and enjoy having you around. We really feel like you’re one of our crew mates”

“ Sure, I’m not missing anything important right now” lying is better than letting this girl cry all night. When her breathing finally evened out you were able to try again.

Eyes fluttering open you were finally in your own bedroom. It was just as you left it, your iPad paused on the intro to one piece and the sun was showing through your curtains.

I really did it.

Life began as usual but you had a newfound appreciation for all the little things that made life worth it. Friends and family found your new outlook pleasant and you finally felt like you turned on a new leaf. While you were getting ready for bed applying all of your creams and oils the Tv in the living room turned on.

Wealth, Fame, Power.

A chill ran through your spine, you haven’t watched the show in over a month in fear of being brought back into that world by some odd chance. Getting up to turn off the tv something in the hallway made a noise. The fear of someone or something being in your house had you clenching on the door knob for dear life.

Just open the door nothing is there you’re only scaring yourself.

Opening the door and walking down the dark hallway into the softly illuminated living room the episode of the strawhats finally meeting up after two years was playing.

“ My favorite arch I should rewatch soon”

“ Why don’t you live it instead?” A voice from behind hissed.

You felt your heart thumping in your ears as you slowly turned to be met with a very angry Captain.

Luffy isn't the type of guy to really care where he's getting food as long as it's good, and he use to be like that with his weed too until he met you. Thru a friend of a friend, and ever since then he's been obsessed with you and your products. Always complimenting you whenever he'd come over to get pick up his order, sometimes spending extra time with you smoking & always making you die laughing.

"Hey Y/n" Luffy would smile standing at your door, it was bout 11:30 pm, and you had asked him if he wanted to smoke about 5 minutes ago and just happened to be already on his way. For the first time in the few months you've known luffy he calmly entered your house. "You okay?" You'd ask him and he'd nod his head yes sitting heading up to your room as you just followed behind him.

You'd watch luffy take off his red bape jacket off tossing it on your dresser leaving him in just a black T, sweat pants and his black and red jordan 4's. Now sitting on your bed he'd pull out his vape hitting it a few times pulling out his phone to open tiktok. Rolling your eyes because this nigga just walked up in here like he owned it. You pick of the blunt you had just rolled lighting it as you hit it once passing it to him before laying on your bed also watching tiktok.

The both of you kept the rotation going smootly, a silly thought going through your mind as you start laughing. Luffy, already so far gone starts laughing too. "Mami, I'm hungry.." He'd say after his laugher died down. "aight, lemme doordash something whatchu want?" you'd ask noticing his red braces as he smiled starting to list everything he wanted from the restaurant you deiced to order from. "Nigga you fat as shit.." You looked at the price of 135, and back at him as he pulled his shirt up showing up you a straight 6 pack.

"how tf--" You'd question shocked subconsciously reaching to touch his abs, as your hands slowly roll down until they reach his waistband make you pull away quickly when you realized. You quickly turn away continuing to finish up your order trying to pretend that never happened as luffy's eyes stayed on you. Poor boy got completely hard just from that thinking you were teasing him as he just ended up taking off his shirt. You'd look over noticing as your eyes wandering down the chest admiring the tattoo's he had holding yourself back from trying to feel up on him.

"Mami? touch me again.." He'd say noticing you hesitate to even look, giving you a goofy smile making you feel comfortable as you moved closed to him resting your hand on his chest. You'd bring your face close to his and he quickly kissed you catching you completely off guard. Eye's softening as you allowed yourself to melt into the kiss feeling as if you two were one. As if for a moment both your souls were connected, or maybe it was just the weed hitting you harder then you expected.

Feeling yourself becoming more emotionally venerable wanting to become apart of him, not even feeling close enough as he pulled you into his lap kissing you deeper. "Luffy!" You'd moan randomly feeling his fingers rub against your cunt through your pink skims shorts. There was a sudden hard smack against the boat causing it to rock lightly "oh that might be her" he smiled and looked over the edge but didn't see anything. Another hard smack hit against the boat, Koby looked around trying to find her gulping nervously.

Luffy didn't looked fazed not one bit still keeping his cheeky grin. Suddenly a loud splash made Koby jump out of his skin and let out a girlish scream, snapping around he saw Y/n "boo!" she giggled watching him try to calm his racing heart. Luffy chuckled "see told you she'd be okay!"

Ducking her head under the water she swam around the boat closer to Luffy flicking his neck Y/n pouted "you could have warned me before you pushed me" Luffy rubbed his neck with a childish pout "I was just trying to help" Y/n rolled her eyes "so where are me headed?" she asked, "to the marine base!"

Y/n blinked "huh?" Luffy looked down at his long time friend "to get the map of the grand line" he stated, Y/n nodded "uh um...w-where is that at?" she asked, Koby spoke "just keep going north" Y/n nodded once again ducking her head under the water "might wanna hold onto something" Luffy stated laying back.

Koby looked confused "w-what do you m-mean-woah!" he fell forward as the boat without warning was pushed forward quickly. He sat up peeking over the boat "i-is that her?"

Luffy nodded "yet she's one of the fastest swimmers I know" Koby tilted his head "then again she is a mermaid so she probably is naturally fast" he hummed.

Koby stared wide eyed "s-she's a what?!" Luffy knocked on the boat twice causing it to stop, Y/n popped her head up "w-was I going too fast?" Luffy shook his head "nope! But Koby here didn't know you where a mermaid" Y/n cocked her head to the side "wait really? I thought you'd be able to tell" she shrugged.

Lifting her lower half out of the water Y/n showed Koby her shimmering tail. He stated wide eyed and mouth agape "w-woah, your t-tail it's so beautiful..." Y/n smiled "aw you're too kind"

Y/n pushed the boat forward as Luffy looked between the two an odd feeling rose in his gut, and it wasn't just hunger this time. He brushed it off actually speaking of hungry he could really go for some food right about now.

Y/n pushed them onto the docks "here we are!" She smiled, placing her hand over her necklace she emitted a purple glow from her hand green sparks covering her body and she had her legs again.

Climbing up on the docks Luffy smacked her back "that never gets old" he chuckles walking into the village, Y/n following close behind Koby stared at the girl in awe.

Yes he had seen her before back on Alvidas ship, but it was darker and he didn't have a good view of her.

Her outfit showed off a lot of her attributes, Koby felt his face burn when he realized just how hard he was staring at the girl quickly tearing his gaze away from the girl he hurried to catch up with the other two, "h-hey wait up!"

He found both of them staring at all the different wanted posters.

Luffy looked shocked "wow! I didn't know there were so many pirates" Y/n nodded looking over all the different pirates "hey look it's a clown!" she pointed to a poster of a clown guy named Buggy. But the two males ignored her "where's my poster?.." he muttered.

Turning around to face the two he sighed "well, only one way i'll get inside that base, and it's not on an empty stomach." Y/n sighed shaking her head.

Y/n sat in the restaurant lightly chewing away on her food, while Luffy slammed down on his food.

A waitress came over carrying more food, Koby denied the food but Luffy insisted "food is good. It's good brain power" he muttered stuffing his face.

Y/n twirled a piece of her hair, looking around the restaurant she saw a green haired male walk in dragging a person who was in a bag...Y/n and looked away gulping uncomfortably.

Y/n wasn't a big fan of violence, or murder. Who would be? She hated it ever since...well nevermind.

She watched the green haired male sit at the bar, saying something to the woman, he glanced around the place briefly locking eyes with Y/n who quickly looked away down at her lap her fins starting to glow.

A little girl walked past with a plate of rice balls going up to the stern looking male speaking to him she looked happy, which Y/n thought was cute.

But the cuteness was ruined when a long haired blonde male bumped the girl causing her to drop the food.

She stuttered out an apology but the blonde mocked her and stepped on the food causing Luffy to frown, Y/n glared at him as did the green haired male.

He picked a small piece of the rice ball off the floor and ate a small piece of it "delicious." he stated simply, the girl smiled and hurried away while the blonde male continued to antagonize the green haired male.

"Do you know who I am?" the green haired male looked him up and down before speaking "a shithead marine with a bad hair cut?" Y/n chuckled at his remark.

However the blonde man didn't take the insult lightly and pulled out a sword from his waist, the green haired male huffed "I wouldn't do that." the blonde male laughed "common tough guy! Three swords? I only need one" Y/n gulped sensing a fight about to break out Luffy patted her head and nudged his head towards the door knowing how uncomfortable she got when it came to fights.

Y/n got up and quickly scurried past the two towards the exist when she bumped into a orange haired girl "oh i-i'm sorry" the orange haired girl only hummed and ignored her. 

Going outside she heard the ruckus that went on inside, she shivered and sat playing with her necklace. to distract herself from the haunting noise. .

The sun had fallen and the moon soon arose darkening the sky letting the stars shine bright. Y/n, Luffy, and Koby laid on the small boat specifically Luffy was laying in between Y/n's legs the back of his head resting on her stomach while she played with his curly hair.

"I can't believe it" Koby muttered, "that guy was amazing, you should have seen it Y/n he could fight really good!" Y/n hummed growing tired, "and what's with the third sword....I mean where would he even put it?" Luffy questioned.

Koby sighed "he had to protect that little girl from the Marines...who were supposed to be protecting her. It doesn't make any sense."

Luffy shrugged his fingers tracing over the soft skin of Y/n's thigh "if there are good pirates and bad pirates. then, there are gonna be good Marines and bad Marines too."

Y/n hummed in agreement, Luffy looked over at Koby "you'll be one of the good ones" Y/n flashed the boy a smile "yeah!" Koby only looked away, "Captin Alvida was right, I know nothing about the world" Y/n sighed "no one truly knows anything about anything. It's all just a matter of hypotheses and perception." Koby glanced at her.

"Hey....hey Koby I need to get into the base, and find that map and I could use some help." Koby looked at him as if he was crazy "you want me to help you steal from the marines?"

Luffy sat up "no of course not. how about you help me...get the boat ready?" Y/n sat up "you can handle that? right?" Koby nodded "yeah I can do that. but what are you two gonna do?" Koby asked.

Looking at a sewer drain Luffy got an idea. "I'm working on that." he smirked.

Inside the marine base a familiar moss head male was tied up on a pole sweat dripping down his face the heat beaming down on him.

He was heavily annoyed and feeling dizzy due to the heat and the blonde mocking him, he was trying to keep his eyes open when he heard metal clanking.

Blinking he tried to find the source of the noise glancing over he saw a metal grate on the ground, suddenly it was pushed open two heads peaking out "I-I don't think this is the right s-spot" both people climbed out Luffy looked around while the girl dusted herself of "I knew I should have took these shoes off..." she muttered to herself.

She turned around "hey you're that guy from the bar." Luffy stated, Y/n tilted her head before it clicked for her "oh yeah!" sometimes she had the memory of a goldfish.

The green hair male dropped his head "get lost." Y/n hummed "we are lost.." Luffy spoke "we're trying to get inside the base...hey I saw the way you fight how did they even arrest you?" the annoyed male spoke "they didn't. I turned myself in" Y/n tilted her head 'he looks dehydrated...'  she was lost in thought while the two spoke.

"I'm Rorona Zoro...the pirate hunter."

Luffy smirked "well...I'm Monkey D. Luffy and I will be king of the pirates. and I think you should join my crew" he stated, nudging the girl Y/n snapped out of her daze "oh right, I'm Y/n Angelfish. and I'll be queen of the sea!" she smiled.

There was a long pause before Zoro chuckled dryly, "what makes you think i'd wanna play pirate with you?" Luffy spoke "you're a great fighter I saw we'd make a pretty good team" Zoro scoffed "I kill your kind for a living..Pirate. Hunter."

Y/n sighed "you keep saying that, but is that all you are?" there was another long pause. Y/n leaned over "he really takes a long time to respond" she muttered.

"I made a promise to someone a long time ago to become the world's greatest swordsman." he stated, Luffy smirked "impressive" while Y/n muttered "cooool"

Luffy began to untie him Y/n followed close behind "hey um are you thirsty? you look dehydrated...n-not in like a bad way! o-or anything I-I'm just saying" he sighed hearing her nervous ramble so to get her to be quiet Zoro spoke quickly "yes."

Taking off her purse she pulled out what looked like a puffed up puffer fish he glanced at her raising a brow "oh there's only water in it don't worry it's not a real puffer fish" she said placing the puffer fish down next to him.

Helping untie him Y/n questioned "so where's your swords?" Zoro sighed "that blonde prick took them"

Y/n 'Oh'ed' at his words, "you can untie me but I still won't join your crew" both Y/n and Luffy said in unison "okay" Zoro corrected "I mean it I don't owe you both anything" Y/n shrugged "okay."

After untying him Y/n and Luffy walked back over to the metal grate "good luck with the sword thing" he climbed back in, Y/n waved to him "bye bye Zoro!" Luffy helped her climb in as well as she waved to the green haired male once more before sliding the gate back into place. .

"Um Luffy do you know where w-we're going?"

"Nope-Woah!" .
