beautiful art of blue soulfire just dropped & at the same time made me realize that all of the players on their team have experienced purgatory.

which is such an ironically lovely thing to realize right? yet it got me curious! there’s a little more than a week left of purgatory and:

from green gay ninjas, cc!mike is likely the only one who won’t experience purgatory, too busy being an academic weapon, while q!rubius is in a sort of limbo, having left the first day just before they were all put on the train, too stunned at suddenly becoming a normal human.

and bolas rojas? you’ve seen their team, you might even know how their expanded schedules are like now. there’s a chance saint felps logs on to experience purgatory, there’s a chance wilbur will feel like he’s been thrown back into minecraft mondays, there’s a chance vegetta and willy can be the destructive duo they are to the fullest extent, and there’s a chance german realizes he’ll no longer be comforted by symbols of home. but the five will have a hard time getting on the same level of the team that started in purgatory from the beginning.

the canonical reason as to how the brazilians got stranded here is still so funny to me. they got the boat because felps was able to purchase it for cheap due to it being haunted and felps was convinced he could drive it despite having no prior experience (he thought it’d be like a bike) and now they’re fucking stuck here 😭 the english and hispanic streamers are trying to unfold this conspiracy about having been specifically targeted for some sick experiment or something along those lines meanwhile the brazilians literally only got stranded out of sheer incompetence. icons

I wanna share some positive things the about the QSMP I personally see.

Of course this is just how I see it, but I feel like there's too much negativity and I need some positive stuff so if I don't see it I'll just make it.

The thing I'll highlight here is my favorite aspects of the LGBT relationships in the server in general (Mainly ships).

Firstly of ace character with qCellbit, I'll just say the moment qRoier accepted qCellbit as ace so fucking quickly it made me so happy, and in general I love their relationship and how they supported eachtother during their hardest times (Bobby's loss and qCellbit's whole arc where he pretended to betray everyone). Related to this I love how this doesn't diminish qRoier's friendship with qJaiden and they have such a strong relationship even after he marries qCellbit, she even is seen as part of their family (AS SHE SHOULD!!!!).

I also love qBagi and qTina, where they have a relationship and we can see qTina's insecurities and qBagi's patience for her. I love how qBagi opened up to her and they bonded on feeling alone and now they have eachother :(( (AND A DAUGHTER!!!! THEY WANTED A DAUGHTER AND THEY GOT IT!! W) I don't follow their story as much but their recent developments with qTina's lore is so cool and I'm so excited to see where that's going.

Obviously I love qFit and qPac (I say obviously bc it's all I talk about in my page), but the slow burn story was so good, for both characters where they have a lot to work through but support eachother though everything. My favorite part I guess is seeing them be the ''I am not marrying'' couple. They do not need a marriage to show their relationship and don't care that much about labels. I will say I know they might eventually marry and that's ok, but I for now, I really love how they don't want or care about marriage and that's ok, they're going on their own pace and that's ok too (they haven't had their first kiss yet). Idk I just love them.

The other ships don't catch that much my attention but!! I wanna say I also love the irl representation, with Mike being such an icon and defending the community (and being part of it with his partner Mine <3), Felps always defending it too, and many other. Tubbo, Bagi, Cellbit, also being queer people to look up to, and I am sure I am missing people. But in general I love the server for being so LGBT-friendly always.

I'll also always remember how quickily Slime and Mariana supported Juanaflippa her being trans. All the support she got in-story and outside of it was so nice. (And her as a character in general but that's another topic lmao).

And lastly I'll just say, as an aro-person, I love seeing how not everything is romance, most of my favorite dynamics are not ships, and there are so many found-family aspects on the server, it makes my heart full. Not everything is perfect in it but yeah!! This is an aspect I really love of the server.

I don't know too much about felps but I love how much of a little

his qsmp character is (and I mean that with so much affection) like I'm so obsessed with the way he's gone for weeks and has apparently been eating cigarettes? He crashed the boat with all the Brazilians on it into the island, got kidnapped and turned into a posicle. Rescued but has some sort of suspicious scar on his arm but no one's looked into it and he's not concerned in the slightest. Pops in to say hi to people and then goes to mine his big ass square with his son, a pickaxe and a dream. When Foolish asked what his plan was once it was mined out he said he was going to build it completely back up. Dude has barely any idea what is going on, gets info dumped on whenever he wakes up and then just goes about his day doing his thing on the island until he decides to sleep for a week again. He's so iconic.

I wanted to do a little descriptive writing exercise, so with a lot of googling for references here’s a little scene of felps in australia before they steal the cargo ship \o/

Regardless of Australia’s reputation, it’s a cold morning at the harbour. The wind carries seasalt, along with the particular smell of ocean water that’s frequented by ships of all sizes—not entirely unpleasant, but definitely not pleasant either. Easy enough to ignore, as long as you don’t get your face too close to it.

Sitting up on the docks with his legs dangling over the side, Felps thinks he’s avoiding the worst of it. The wood he sits on isn’t exactly wet, but it is damp. Maybe even perpetually so. Or at least just in winter, where the sun lacks its usual power even on a good day.

It’s a good day now. A few clouds litter the sky, but nothing to suggest rain is on its way. On the occasions the wind drops off, the cold can even be beaten back by the rays of sunlight. 

This isn’t where he needs to be. Nearby lies the iconic features of Australia that Felps never really imagined he’d see outside of tv and pictures—the Sydney Opera House, and the Sydney Habour Bridge. Being on the run with fugitives can take you to places beyond even your most distant plans, apparently. He always figured if he went out of country that he’d like to visit Japan.

But this isn’t where he needs to be; not that he’s particularly needed any time soon. He’s a good hour—at the very least—walk away, or about thirty minutes by car depending on the traffic. This is Sydney during peak morning hours. The traffic will be bad. May as well wait a bit.

He watches idly as a ferry carts people from one side of the harbour to the other. It’s an exciting ride for a tourist due to the view it gives of the Opera House and the bridge, but as boring as a bus after the first few times. Three of them don’t legally know how to drive, Cellbit doesn’t know how to drive at all, and they’d all figured keeping a low profile and only stealing what’s necessary would be best. Felps has ridden the ferry often.

The faded yellow and dark green of it makes it maybe not the most exciting vessel in the water, but it is recognisable. It trails further away from the stop closest to Felps and towards a flashy, small theme park. Luna Park, if Felps remembers correctly. 

It was a fun, indulgent day. He won Cellbit a koala plushie, and then kept playing until he won one for Pac as well, and he only almost threw up after that green thrill ride he can’t remember the name of.

The ferry docks, and Felps’ phone buzzes in his pocket. A message from Cellbit telling him to start heading to their meeting spot.

It would probably be easier to steal a boat from the harbour here. It’s also much too public for their comfort. Between the tourists and the locals, Sydney Harbour is a bustling, unpredictable place. So, instead, they’re heading to Port Botany.

More planning needed to go into it, but it’s the overall safer option. Some forged documents, a month or so of working there, the acquisition of sums of money and information for bribes, and finally everything is ready to be put into action.

Australia has been nice, but Felps misses Brazil. And it’s probably been long enough that the last scare of the police finding them is over—their trail having gone cold.

He picks himself up off of the wood and stretches out. Enjoys the warmth of the sun for a brief moment more, before heading back towards the shadows of the city’s tall buildings.
