Basic Introduction🌿

Heya I'm Markus, I also go by Moss. I'm huge plant nerd and violently obsessed with collective wildflower feildguides. I am by no meana a professional horticulturist or botanist (though I desperately want to be), Studying plants and growing them however is a major passion of mine!

I'm hoping that by posting on this blog, I can motivate myself to learn even more about plants and actually jot down some information for other people. I belive we all need to become way more aware of the hugely important role that flora play in out world and what plants are actually helpful and which ones are damaging (I'm looking at you invasive plants/monoculture forest/ect.)

Oh, also, the last thing to know about me is I desperately hope all oil, gas, and car company CEOs fricken 💥💥💥 Ahhhh cough on smoke.... yeah.....

What this blog is about☘️

I plan to mostly use this blog to help share gardening tips, information on native plants, general ecology posts, horticulture/Agricultural/permaculture all the plant growing cultures and stuff, sustainability, and conservation Just generally, anything to do with plants and our precious earth's ecosystem, I suppose. However, as I live on the West Coast of B.C I want to focus a lot on my local native flora and ecosystem!

That's probably going to be a big point of the blog so if you too are a B.C West Coast Flora Fanatic rejoice!!

The history of flowers and their meanings are always a little bit tricky and varied depending on place to place. That's the beauty of it, though that one flower can mean a thousand different things depending on where you are, the color, what other flowers accompany it, even where it worn! Plants have always been important symbols in our art and culture.

Gardening Tuesday🍅 Tuesday

Whether you're growing tomatoes or tulips, everyone can sometimes use some advice on what to do with their garden plants. From companion plants to what's the best P.H. for your crops, Tuesday is the day to look out for! On this day, there will mostly be some gardening tips posted, and also, alongside submissions, I will be open to send in any exciting gardening news or updates you've may have. Send in pictures of your biggest strawberries or your seedlings you've been waiting weeks to pop up. It's all welcome here :).

Of Curses Broken and Breaking

“She’s gone.” Rose confirmed, and now that he was awake a part of her wanted to confront him on why he would take a pregnant teenager’s baby, and inform him that such a thing wasn’t cool.  But now wasn’t the time.

She removed the towel and carefully rung it out, dousing it with water from a water bottle to try to wipe the soap solution from his eyes.

“What’s your name?” She said, then realized this was a more complicated question for him then the internet could have possibly guessed.  “Er, BOTH versions” she clarified, “And today’s date, sorry, that’s what my first aid feildguide says to ask.  It says if you’ve lost conciousness you probably have a concussion.”

Although, since he remembered Ashley, he was probably properly oriented

"I don't think I hit my head that hard," Rumple said. Not hard enough to forget anything at least. It definitely hurt where his head had made contact with the counter. "My name is Rumplestiltskin. Alexander Gold in this world."

He wanted to get up, but stayed where he was for the moment. He didn't want to try and get up with his eyes closed, and knew he shouldn't try to open them until after Rose finished wiping the soap from his eyes.

"It's November 13th," he said, answering the second part of her question. That would probably help to assure Rose that he was okay, or mostly okay.

Rose considered locking the door behind her but, with the window broken it would do precious little good. She pulled out her phone and looked up what to do for a head injury.

“If they lose conciousness call 911” yeah, he wouldn’t like that. She tried a few more sites and a book she had downloaded, which mostly suggested she get emergency medical assistance right away. Apparently the writers of these websites and medical texts had not met Mr. Gold.

Most of the rest what what NOT to do. Don’t move them. Don’t apply water to a bleeding head wound, don’t drink alcohol for 48 hours…

So she switched to the secondary issue “what do do if you get maced in the face?”

So it was that when Mr. Gold woke up, Rose had a wash-cloth of 1 part Dawn Dish soap and 3 parts water resting over his eyes in an attempt to dissolve the pepper spray.

“Don’t open your eyes, there’s soap in the compress I’m using” she said, when she noticed a change in his breathing and the first signs of movement.

(Although her book and websites said she should be asking him his name and the date)

The first thing that Rumple was aware of was that his head hurt.  Both from the mace that Ashley had sprayed into his face, and from the spot where he’d hit his head when he’d fallen.  Even as Rose told him not to open his eyes, he wasn’t sure that he wanted to, at least not quite yet.

“Is Ashley gone?”  He asked, since he couldn’t see anything at the moment to look for himself.

She probably was.  He couldn’t think of any reason why she would still be here.  She’d probably grabbed the contract as soon as he was unconscious, and then left.

And then Rose had found him lying unconscious on the floor.

He needed to get up as soon as he could.
