Our Joy of Giving campaign is an initiative that aims to spread joy and positivity through acts of kindness. We partner with corporate organizations and schools of Vadodara to host events that encourage people to give back to their communities. This week the #czulightningcomplex fires 🔥 reported 💯 percent containment; however for the people who returned to lost or damaged homes the impacts of the fire will be felt for sometime. Susan has strangely found herself in a position to help facilitate connecting people in Bonny Doon to resources where they can find assistance. “Who knew” that to receive low interest loans to rebuild a home it was necessary to apply for FEMAs & a SBA loan? She’s learned firsthand about trauma transference, had the privilege of distributing gift cards and praying over individuals who are working through the aftermath of the fire all in a socially distanced way. Friday morning Susan was encouraged to see this lovely bouquet of flowers from a secret admirer had left for folks to enjoy who were stopping by for a meal, information on where to find help or simply conversation. Susan is celebrating the fact that earlier this week she received confirmation that the Feel The Joy nonprofit she’s registered during evacuation has been issued a nonprofit EIN number. Happy Sunday. Some call it “Sea Glass Sunday”. Susan began collecting sea glass after moving to the California Central Coast. Sea glass glistening on the sand buffeted by sand and waves 🌊 seemed to offer some unspoken promise. She has found that sharing little natural treasures like heart rocks, pine foams and sea glass which cost nothing have a way of communicating at a more intimate level than giving purchases gifts. Susan invites you to join her in a more intimate setting at noon Monday for Mahalo Monday on Facebook live for a mindfulness break.
