Mountain pose. Yoga 101. . I remember the first time I learned mountain pose, back in my college yoga class. It felt like we stood there forever! But the teacher gave more and more cues about the subtle feelings in the body and soon enough it was like meditating standing up. These days I think I could stay in mountain pose for an hour! . Actually, these days, I do stay in mountain pose for extended periods of time. I stand while I'm making Pendants with Purpose, feet hip width apart, weight balanced equally through both feet. I practice feeling grounded through the feet, strong through my core, and lifted through the crown of the head. . Yes! While I'm working! - it's a practice of feeling these specific subtle pieces of the pose, then feeling my whole body as one entity, balanced, grounded and lifted all at once. And I watch my hands make your pendant. . Of course I periodically realize I've shifted my weight to one foot, cocked a hip out and tensed the shoulders, so I just notice that and readjust. . Do you work standing up? Try this! You will learn how you can remain focused on your work without losing focus of how you hold your body. You will learn that the way you hold your body while you work can positively impact your work. . Someday I'll tell you the vision my intuitive friend, @kel_kels45 had about my past life. I think of it every time I work. . Just know that your pendant, and every pendant I make is made with intention, attention, in a state of calm centeredness, which is exactly what I want you to feel when you wear it. . #innercalm #innerbliss #intention #yogalover #yogaforlife #mountainpose #grounding #feelbalanced #balance #greenvillesc #mindfullife #mindfulliving #pendantswithpurpose #pursuepurpose #purepotential #purposedrivenlife #secondstocenter #healyourrootchakra #beginwithyourroot #roottorise #chakraenergy #anjalimudra #lotusart #lotusflower (at Greenville, South Carolina)
