Important note the first: the idea here is a jumping-off point rather than a detailed prompt. So something like "FirstPrince at the barbershop" is awesome! "FirstPrince meet-cute at the barbershop where Alex accidentally comes onto Henry and then they hook up" is more detailed than I'm looking for for these (also I already wrote that one, so it'd be a waste of your time.)

Putting the rest of this under a 'Read More' for those who don't want to read about things like this.

I'll admit that I was pretty scared, too, in the weeks leading up to it. As with everything else, it all depends on where you are getting it done in the world, which clinic, which doctor, etc. BUT - for my part, and I hope this can be comforting to you: It didn't hurt at all. I was given a local anesthetic prior to the biopsy itself, which was the only thing I even felt during the whole procedure. And I barely even felt that, to be honest. I'd classify a blood test as a lot more uncomfortable than getting the anesthetic injected, and my doctor was very generous with it.

The actual biopsy itself, where she was "pinching" off tiny pieces of my cervix (not sure how they do it in whichever country you're in, but here they literally pinch off pieces of the cervix), I didn't feel at all.

Of course, this is probably a very individual thing, but for me it wasn't painful at all. You will probably have to expect quite a bit of bleeding afterwards, though. I haven't experienced any pain whatsoever following the procedure, just the bleeding.

I will, however, give you one very vital piece of advice: If you're going to be given a local anesthetic, please make sure you eat something prior to your appointment. I didn't, and I got really lightheaded, dizzy and nauseous like a minute after she had given me the anesthesia, which is a very normal reaction to have if you don't make sure to eat before you go in for your appointment. So please, please, please make sure you eat first.

And ask your doctor plenty of questions if you have them! I did, and getting them answered really put me at ease despite being quite a stressful situation.

I'm wishing you the best of luck for your appointment, anon, and I hope your experience will be as painless as mine was. And I really hope your results will come back with the best possible news.

I have completed a writing project, which I've been working on for quite a while. I know exactly what you mean, and feeling like your partner is your roommate is just not a good feeling. 8 years together is a long time, and it's completely normal for things to feel different after that many years. But I guess the question is: are you still in love with him?

It's so hard to say when to keep trying and when to call it quits, because I really think it depends on who you are, and what you expect from a partner and a relationship. But the big thing for me was realizing that I had never felt more lonely than I did when I was with him. I so rarely feel lonely as I'm very introverted, and I'm so comfortable and happy in my own company, so experiencing that kind of loneliness when I was with the one person who meant the most to me was just... Not right. And it wasn’t fair to me, or to him. I spent as much time as I could anywhere but home for those months because the loneliness and the unhappiness I felt when I was with him was suffocating. And that's not how a relationship is supposed to feel.

I've been with my current boyfriend for 5 and a half years now, and although the excitement that was there at the very beginning obviously isn’t the same anymore, I still get excited whenever we're doing something together. I still feel all giddy if we're going out to dinner, and I'm still completely unable to not smile when I see him. He makes me feel so comfortable and so safe, and I have never, not once, felt lonely when I'm with him. He's the one person who can turn my mood from shitty to great with a stupid joke or an inappropriate innuendo, and he always makes sure to give me exactly what I need in any given situation. And if he's not sure what that is, he asks. Long story short, he is exactly the kind of partner I need, and we've built a relationship that is the right fit for us both.

I think you should have a long, serious talk with yourself to figure out what it is you want, and if this is the kind of relationship you want to stay in for the rest of your life. If it is, then that's fine! But if it isn’t, you need to do what's best for you, because you deserve to be happy, and you deserve to be with someone who makes you feel exactly the way you want to feel in a relationship. Staying in this relationship if that isn’t truly what you want is only going to end up hurting you both in the long run.

I completely get the fear of not finding someone else if you do call it quits, but trust me, if that’s what you want, you'll find someone else. And that someone will probably never have you questioning your relationship the way you're doing now.

You deserve to thrive, anon, both on an individual level and as an individual that's part of a relationship. ❤️

So someone asked if I’d be willing to post my fics from Ao3 on here and well here we are. I’ll mostly use this as a place to post fics although any intermissions such as this will be tagged with the tag author’s note.  The Fandoms I currently write for very and I also write platonic sickfics and emeto scenarios as well as ship ones. My current fandoms are Genshin Impact, MDZS, TGCF, SVSS, Final fantasy 7, Nu Carnival, Demon slayer, Persona 5, Tales of, Neir/Neir Automata, Ys, HSR, legend of Zelda, limbus compan

My genshin ships are just about everyone with everyone minus characters like Klee, Qiqi, Sayu Paimon, and Diona of course. I don't mind writing platonic stuff for them but anything beyond that just isn't my cup of tea. My top romantic ships for Genshin are Zhongli/Childe, Childe/Scara, Xiao/Venti, Ningguang/Beidou, Lisa/Jean etc. I usually write M/M or W/W ships but not always.My favorite platonic ships are Zhongli & Xiao, Kaeya & Diluc.  I have more but I don't wanna be here all day so just feel free to ask me about my ship pairings for any of my fandoms and 9/10 I can do it. I’m also into switch pairings for all the above listed so I can write either.

What would you do if your butch realized they were actually a man? The person I’m in love with identified as butch until recently when they discovered that they’re a trans man. I’m a lesbian but I’m still in love with them and I’m so confused

At this point in our relationship and life together it wouldn't really change anything for me. We've talked about this a lot and like... Sure it would mean I would technically identify as bi then, but there's no way I would wanna break up just because I've always been a lesbian and that's an identity that's felt like home for me. We both agree that it wouldn't really change the dynamic of our relationship anyway. They would go on T and get their breasts removed, but honestly that's something they might do anyway at some point in life. I don't think my butch realizing they're trans would change anything with regards to if I find men in general attractive either.

People on this site are VERY adamant about hating the sort of narrative that someone could be an exception to your attraction, but like... This is not that uncommon in real life lmao. There's plenty of lesbian couples where one of the partners has realized they actually identify as a man instead. Some of them break up because the other person is first and foremost a lesbian I suppose and can't feel attracted to their partner as their appearance/behavior or their dynamic maybe changes. Then there's people like me for whom it's really like, ok whatever lol, you're still my person.

Maybe ask yourself this: does it actually matter what gender that spesific person is? If you're still in love with them, does it matter that "oh but I'm a lesbian I'm not attracted to men"? You don't have to suddenly find all men attractive, it's probably even likely you won't, but you might also realize you do find other men attractive too. There's nothing wrong with that either. Don't get too caught up with identity politics and boxes. I love my little high fem lesbian box a lot, but real life is more complicated than abstract concepts of attraction. I'm keen to argue that there's also lots of hidden biphobia involved too, but that's another conversation and I don't mean to downplay anyone's confusion about their own life and identity.

You could also really just kinda take it day by day - if you start feeling like you're not in love with your partner anymore after they maybe start transitioning etc, that's fine too. I would really urge you to talk to your partner about these feelings too and see how they feel about your relationship etc. It's okay to be confused and even scared, too. Sometimes these things change the relationship in a way that it doesn't feel like home anymore, and that's okay. It doesn't change the fact that you had a good time together. You can also take a little time to think on things if need be, and your partner should be supportive of that. Don't worry so much, it's all gonna be okay. Things might not go the way you thought they would, but that's not always a bad thing.
