The Winter 2025 Bishop Myriel Fundraiser is now open. This year will be dedicated to immigrants, many of whom are languishing in private prisons whose stock just went way, way up.

Our goal this year is at least 25 auction items and over $1000 in funds raised. If you've never participated before, this is your year. DM if you would like to participate but need advice!

Get your fic, art, books, crafts, costumes, and other offers ready. You can submit them according to the rules under the cut, and bidding on each item will start as soon as it is posted. Bidding in REPLIES, NOT REBLOGS, will continue through the end of December 21st, the darkest night of the year.

The recommended places to donate this year are: 1) RAICES Texas, an immigration-focused group which freed more than 2,000 people from immigration detention over the years. They fought to reunify families when children were ripped from their parents' arms during the first Trump administration, and have now pivoted to using funds to provide legal support for the detained, while continuing to pay bonds for those clients.

2) Annunciation House, a shelter serving immigrants. Run by Catholics in Texas who open their doors to the stranger without asking to see their papers, this year they faced down a vicious attempt by the Texas government to shut them down as a "stash house." The attorney general claimed in court that they followed "a more Bohemian set of ‘seven commandments,’ including commandments to ‘visit’ people when ‘incarcerated’ and ‘care (for them) when they’re sick.'” What could be more in the spirit of this fundraiser's namesake, Bishop Myriel? If you are not in the US and/or find it difficult to donate via those pages and/or want to support a particular organization doing good work to assist immigrants that's not listed above, please feel free to select another organization. From groups funding rescue ships in the Mediterranean to those supporting refugees stuck in camps around the world, there is a lot of good work to be done.

SUBMIT your offering post to this blog! Include a link to this rules post in your own post, and also a minimum starting offer for your item, which can be a fic, art, or a physical item--be creative! Your offer does NOT have to be connected to the Les Misérables fandom, although such items are always welcome! Any terms and conditions of your offer should also be included in the post, eg what fandoms you are wiling to write for, any hard no’s on content, etc. Offer posts can keep coming in through the SUBMIT button until the auction closes.

2. Bidding

Bidding on each item opens as it is posted. Only bid on items tagged #Winter25. There will also be a masterpost to help distinguish this year's items from last years. Bid in REPLIES NOT REBLOGS (this is important because replies enable me to figure out who bid when and avoid conflicts) until 11:59PM Eastern Time December 21st, 2024. The highest bidder at that time will be the winner. Bidding can start as each item is posted.

3. Claiming or delivering your item

Please do not donate your bid until I have contacted you to inform you that you won the item!

If you have won an item, I will contact you directly via DM and ask you to provide a receipt or other verification for a donation to an immigration organization in the amount bid. This DM may come from either @bishopmyrielfundraiser or my main blog @lifeisyetfair. After you have made your donation, send such the receipt or verification bishopmyrielfundraiser@gmail.com or in a screenshot on Tumblr. Make sure the proof contains the amount you donated!

AFTER I have verified your donation, I will contact the offerer to let them know they can deliver the item. If you do not respond at all to my attempts to contact you within one week, I will move on to the next highest bidder. So check your DMs.

4. Sending the item you offered

All items should be delivered by March 31st, 2025 at the absolute latest, unless you have made other arrangements, eg the custom item/fic takes longer than that to create or write and you communicate about this. Earlier is even better, but remember that the most important thing is to keep the winner informed and make sure everyone has a good time.

Doodle Zine!

Hi! I'm Stars ( @ilovedthestars ) and I like making zines.

I would like to invite anyone who is interested to participate in a fun and low-stakes collaborative zine project! We can't quite get the scissors-glue-and-photocopier vibe of a classic zine on Tumblr, but I'm hoping to make something that's as close as we can get over the internet.

There's something so fun and personal about doodles. They mostly exist on paper, and are rarely shown off to other people, but they can be so unique and individual. I always loved swapping doodles in friends' notebooks and having a little something from them in the corner of my homework. That's a vibe I'd like to bring to my little corner of the internet.

So! If you're interested, I would love for you to draw some doodles, take a photo, and send them to me via this form! I will compile the submissions into both a digital zine and a printable version (5.5x4.25" pamphlet format), and share them here on Tumblr when they're finished.

(The form requires a gmail sign-in, but I will not be able to see the email you use. If you don't have a gmail account to use, you can DM me on tumblr or discord to submit)

There is no selection process--I will be including every submission that I feasibly can. I would like to emphasize that this is not an art zine, it's a doodle zine! Here are some examples of what I'm talking about when I say "doodles." The point is to have fun together, and I will not be holding you to any sort of artistic standard, so please don't hold yourself to one.

This form will be accepting submissions for at least two weeks (until July 16th).

I will leave the form open longer if submissions come in slowly. If I get too many submissions for one zine, I will simply make more zines and turn it into a series. If I am absolutely overwhelmed with submissions, we'll see how far I get through them, but I will work approximately in order of submission until I run out of energy. I have no solid timeline beyond that--this is a fun summer project for me, and I'm trying not to turn it into homework. But I'm very excited about making this happen!

Guidelines:

Doodle anything, as messy, scribbly, abstract, or silly as you want! This zine is about little moments of connection, not about artistic quality. Treat your page like the margins of your notebook during a long lecture (or doodle in the margins of your notebook during a long lecture and submit it!)

Your page of doodles will be 4.25 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall, or 1/4 of a sheet of letter-sized paper. Either work at this size or be okay with me cropping to fit the dimensions!

Use whatever drawing tools you like, but know that light pencil might not show up well.

Lined paper is fine. So is paper with stuff printed or written on it that you have doodled over/around (as long as there are no identifying/sensitive details, like the name of a school or workplace).

Sign your page somewhere with whatever name or username you're comfortable with! Or indicate below that you chose to submit anonymously.

Take a photo! It doesn't have to be a great photo, but a decent photo will make it easier for me to edit. Try to have brightish light, no direct shadows on the paper, and a mostly straight-on angle. Leave the edges of the paper within the photo, no need to crop. I'll take care of the rest!

If there are any issues with your submission (like a photo I can't use) I will contact you and give you the chance to resubmit, so no worries.

Hello everyone, and welcome!

We are the denizens of the wonderous world we all know and love. And we have all gathered here to speak with you! Got anything you desire to say, ask, or send our way? Do it anytime you wish, and we shall respond - through our voices! - We are voice acting enthusiasts, some of whom, you may have already heard in some Rain World fan projects. You can send anything at a character - images, art, questions, ideas, videos, whatever you wish! And the character shall react - just like in any other askblog. But the difference is not just that we use voiceovers to answer (instead of art), but that the process is fully collaborative. As the VAs of the characters all have full creative control over what they say, instead of following the standard practice of one person writing/deciding everything.

Important things to note (please read before submitting):

When you send us something, make it abundantly clear which character you're addressing. You're allowed to address multiple, or even the entire cast.

NSFW submissions are not allowed. Mildly suggestive ones are fine, but they will not get a response, if the character you're addressing has a minor as its VA, or an adult that would be uncomfortable with it.

This project is fully non-canon. VAs are allowed to use headcanons and personal interpretations when answering. It's also not really meant to be serious, so feel free to send us silly stuff :3

You should only submit things for characters that actually have VAs, as you wouldn't be able to get a response otherwise.

The person primarily running this project and blog is me, @fadebolt. If you wish to voice act a character yourself, shoot me a DM, either here, or in Discord (my name is also 'fadebolt' there, and I'm in the main RW server, so finding me should be easy). There's absolutely no limit with the characters you could ask to VA. Slugcats, iterators, ancients, echoes, scavengers, any other species... they're all available! We also aren't limiting ourselves to just the base game. Characters from Downpour, characters from mods, OCs, and non-canon characters in general are also available (though if you're planning to VA a character owned by someone else, then make sure to consult them first). Just... don't ask for characters who are already taken. Asking to be a backup is fine (in fact, backup VAs would be more than welcome), but we're not stripping anyone of their role, just because someone else asked for it as well. This post will be regularly updated, with the list of all the taken characters, and their VAs. Characters who are not on the list do not have VAs, and are fully open.

Hello everyone!

Firstly, I would like to thank you all for the very kind reception to my hiatus announcement post. I already knew that everyone who followed and participated in this blog were wonderful, but I haven’t received a single negative response and that means the world to me.

This blog will be on an indefinite hiatus. I am not permanently shutting it down, but for the time being, I will be inactive. So for now, no more daily prompts and no more reblogging submissions. This blog has become more work than fun for me right now, and I also am going into my final year at university, which will take up the majority of my time. I hope to come back and do a month or two at a time on occasion when I’m able to.

In the meantime, please feel free to continue posting fics with any of the prompts. You can choose whether or not to tag the blog, but I would still appreciate if you could mention where you got the prompt. You can find all 414 prompts in the prompt archive. 

If you want to read any of the previous submissions, please search them by either using the tag navigation or by looking through the AO3 collection.

Once your commission slot is secured, I will begin working on your piece.

A sketch of your piece will be sent to your preferred form of communication. If there are any small changes you would like to have done, please request changes within 48 hours so I can continue working on your piece!

Once the piece is finished, I will send you an invoice for the rest of the payment. Once I have received your payment, the file of the piece will be emailed to you. Again, if there are any minor changes you would like, please request them within 48 hours, and we can discuss them.

The card service I've chosen says they ship worldwide and, while it might take a bit longer for you to receive your card depending on what country you live in, the cards will get mailed to whatever address you provide, domestic or foreign. Last year I mailed/emailed a total of 164 cards to Italy, Canada, Germany, England, Poland, The US, The United Kingdom, Brazil, India, and Slovenia!

I was inspired by a post that I saw here that I was tragically unable to reblog because it suddenly disappeared from my dash on mobile when it decided to do a refresh to create this event. Essentially what the Fic Read & Comment Exchange is is a way to share fics that you love with others and encourage everyone to comment on fics. This is going to be shared here on tumblr AND on r/fanfiction. This is open to any and all fandoms.

Here's how it'll work:

You'll fill out the two forms, the reader preference form and the fic submission form. You cannot participate unless you fill out both forms. So I can make sure that you've filled out both forms, please be sure to use the same contact info on both forms.

I'll continue to accept submissions for the exchange until April 30, 2024.

After April 30, 2024, I will go through all of the submissions and pair everyone who's participating with TWO fics. You'll receive your two fics via the contact point you specified (here on tumblr, via email or through your reddit). These should go out some time during the first week of May. If you filled out the forms and don't receive a contact by May 12, 2024, please feel free to DM me and let me know!

Once you've received your "reading list" you'll need to go off and read the fics you got. For each fic, make sure to leave at least ONE comment on the fic. The comment should ideally be thoughtful, at least 2-3 sentences in length and address something specific about the fic (ie: lines, character interpretations, plot, worldbuilding, mood/tone, etc.). This is not an invitation for concrit. This is about the positive power of comments.

The Rules:

Do NOT submit ANY AI generated fic. AI generation of fanfiction stands in complete opposite of what fandom and fic writing culture is and should be, and generative AI tools are built using stolen creative works, and uncompensated labor of creatives. Hey y’all! I’m happy to announce the DNAD Valentine’s Week 3! The theme is: 

FLUFF VS ANGST

The dates are February 13th-19th, 2023. To participate, please tag your posts as #dnadvalentines2023. To submit your prompt to either the TEAM FLUFF or TEAM ANGST competition, please add #dnadteamfluff23 and #dnadteamangst23. You can create for both teams / combine prompts / make your own prompts, etc. It’s free game! The teams are to track whether there will be more FLUFF or ANGST this Valentine’s season. 

This prompt week will be SFW and it is dedicated to celebrating all types of love (or angst). This means you can create pieces for characters that are romantic/platonic/familial, etc! OCs, sonas, and self-inserts are welcome! If it’s TF2, it counts! The event will also take place on twitter!

Here's the verdict!

Thanks everyone for their patience! Here are the poll's results:

The dates will stay as they currently are the 8th & 9th of June, mark your calendars! There will be 2 days to submit entries, there likely won't have an extension period this time around, unless I change my mind on the matter.

The idea of using the painting The Kiss, 1908 (Klimt) as our focus point won!

So, here is how this event will work:

Artists will draw their take on the painting with Aldemu - in short it will be an aldemu DTIYS for drawn entries;

Obviously, taking into consideration our lovely writers, as to not exclude them. They should write an one-shot (Max. 12,000 words - according to some sources I've looked into. Feel free to let me know if I got it wrong.) Taking inspiration from the painting. Keep it relatively short as to not be too straining or difficult for you guys!

Here is the neat bonus: While the painting IS our focus, June is also pride month. So, you can absolutely take this opportunity to exposit your Headcanons on the subject, for either or both characters.

I hope you guys will be able to participate in it and look forward to it!

HORROR BANG EXCHANGE 2K23

To celebrate the lovely art of horror gaming, myself, alongside @sstewyhosseini have decided to host a gift exchange of sorts. This one will be a bit different than past ones I've hosted as it will be a little more on the collaborative side. Consider it a mish mash of a gift exchange/secret santa and a fandom bang. You will create a fic or art that you would like your partner to make something based off of and in return you will make something for them. The exchange will run around 9 weeks. 4 weeks to create your fic/art and 4 and a half weeks to make your gift. If you have any questions don't hesitate to DM me here or on discord. Decided to answer any questions/address any complaints all in one post as we move into the next round:

BILLBOARD HOTTIES TOURNEY/MISS BILLBOARD TOURNEY:

How am I meant to vote in the tourney? The vote is supposed to be for the best-looking/hottest musician/singer/composer/etc, not for whose music you think is better. Looks should be based on pre-1980 looks, not anything after that.

How can I submit propaganda? What can I submit? You can submit photos, videos of performances/interviews, and even songs. Between rounds, the best way to submit propaganda to be used for the next poll post is through the asks or submission box. DMs are also accepted but not preferred. Submit as much propaganda for the post as you like; if it's got a direct link or you have the direct image, it'll work. During rounds, asks and submissions are still welcome, but DMs are not. Instead, tag billboard-hotties-tourney in posts to get them reblogged here. Please do not spam this blog with propaganda. One submission per nominee per day per person, PLEASE. If you submit more than one per day, it will be ignored. You are still welcome to reblog poll posts and add unlimited propaganda there. Any negative propaganda submitted to the inbox will be ignored. If you want someone to lose, find positive propaganda about their opponent.

Why did you use the pictures you did? Why did you use the songs you did? Since this poll was supposed to be for musicians pre-1980, I'm only using pre-1980 images for the polls and pre-1980 songs for the propaganda. It's why you didn't see the classic Tony Levin look, or any modern-day Geddy Lee images, for instance. You can always reblog with post-1980 pictures, but as for the original poll posts, there will only be pre-1980 images. As for the song selections, I tried to pick songs that are either a popular song of theirs, or songs that may be lesser-known but still highlight their musical ability.

How am I meant to vote in the tourney? Your choice should be based on what the hotter/sexier song is, not necessarily which song you prefer. Choices should NOT be based upon the artist or how the artist looks when they perform it. Choices should also be based upon the version of the song in the running, not a different version of the song.

Where is ____? If you don't see a person/song, they either weren't submitted and not considered by me, or they were eliminated in a previous round. If they were here at some point, they have a tag.

Is it too late to submit ____? Yes.

Why are these two frontrunners paired against each other already? Every pairing is random; it's all down to the luck (or lack thereof) of the draw.

Where is the propaganda I submitted? Either it definitely didn't fall into the pre-1980 category (although if you see any that slipped past me, feel free to correct me,) the image wouldn't attach to the post, or the person's face was obscured to the point where it wouldn't have made sense to keep it. Please also do not send NSFW pictures, I don't want butt naked people on my posts.

Can I submit propaganda for a person/a song no longer in the running? No.

What happens in the event of a tie? Due to the previous rigging of a tie, the rules for what happens in the event of a tie have changed. If there is a tie for a poll, the two will no longer advance together, but instead, there will be a second poll that lasts 24 hours to determine the winner. If there is another tie after the second poll, neither will advance.

A Series of Firsts - Content Creator Challenge

This idea has been living rent-free in my head for too long, and as the holiday season and end of the year approaches, I felt it was time to throw this into the void - a content creator challenge focusing only on the lesser popular suitors.

This a suitor-specific event - please read rules below.

Rules:

This challenge begins on December 1 and ends on December 31. Sometime in January, I will create a master list of everything that was submitted for the event.

Entries may be SFW or NSFW (must be 18+ to submit NSFW content) and be either fluff/angst/crack/smut or anything in between - it is at the discretion of the creator which direction they go in, but please tag your works accordingly with any applicable triggers.

This challenge is open to all types of fan work, including fanart and fanfic.

This challenge is open to all Ikemen Series games - Ikemen Sengoku, Ikemen Revolution, Ikemen Vampire, Ikemen Genjiden, Ikemen Prince and Ikemen Villains.

This challenge is limited to certain suitors - see below for a complete list of suitors. When creating this list, I based it on a general vibe and who had the least amount of content on Tumblr.

First Look - the first time you saw one another, the first time you realized you had feelings for the other. This can also include the first time you met one another and first impressions.

First Kiss - can take place on a First Date or happen accidentally. It can be planned or an awkward event that leads to more.

First Date - can include fake dating (that maybe leads to more), planned date, surprise date, or dates that lead to more.

First Time - the first time you were intimate with one another in the bedroom (can include touching, oral, intercourse, etc). Can also include a first time doing something together non-sexually.

First Fight - can include the fight itself, the lead up to it, and/or the eventual kiss and make up portion.

First Celebration - first time celebrating together a birthday, anniversary, holiday.

First Child - finding out you are expecting, the arrival of the child, getting used to new life as parents.
