#4. Favorite Friendship Lesson

The episode is Discordant Harmony. The lesson was that you shouldn't have to change yourself for the people who are supposed to love the real you. Discord is a fragile, oddball character, constantly dreading when his only friend will decide to drop him, and Fluttershy is utterly clueless to this until she finally sees the cracks. Discord's agenda in this episode really resonated with me.

The words read, "to be normal."

#2. Favorite Supporting Character

Discord! This came out a lot more cartoon-y (and blurry) than I would've liked. I like Discord because he can always bring the punchline. He seems like a possessive, bitter, lonely, cocky and kooky ancient alien dude, which he totally is. His kind was a species that lived and floated through space, after all. They were a royal species, compound with the powerful abilities of respective magical forces. When Discord describes himself as a "Lord of Chaos," he is quite literally an avatar that is prone to his Force's doing. There's always this little voice in his head, encouraging his antics. His full name is Lord Eris Discordia of Chaos. He's transgender and genderfluid, grayromantic, and pan-demisexual.

In my nextgen AU Harmonyverse, Discord is married to seven creatures; Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Tirek, Zecora, Marble Pie, Tempest Shadow, and Cosmos (she's from the comics). Their union produced a child of multiple identities, each one seeming aligned with a specific parent. Discord's son is Lady Luck, the genderqueer, passive-aggressive, syrupy sweet cross-desser that always seems to have good fortune coming his way.

I know it's an EG song, but it's a fucking banger. I love Battle of The Bands. Sue me. The lyrics in this take are "something that changes all the rules."

Februpony! I'll be attempting to do this. I did this yesterday, starting at around 11 PM and then who knows. I'm not very skilled with colored pencils yet.

#1. Favorite Mane Six Member

The assignment was your favorite member of the Mane Six, which mine is Pinkie Pie (formerly Applejack). Hell do I project highly onto this little ball of fluff. I used my own character design for her.

In my head, Ponka is a bouncy, chaotic good from a broken and highly religious home. She was never physically abused, but her father was distant, not unkindly, and her mother was an alcoholic. She's scatterbrained and all over the place, things like her autism and her schizophrenia, along with being a dwarf, making her personality loud and proud and loud. She's also pansexual, polyamorous and is a non-binary demigirl! I ship her with Rainbow Dash and Dumbbell.

#7. Favorite Unpopular Character

Dumbbell! I've grown a bit of an attachment to this one-off dumbass. Out of the simple characters that are usually featured in the spotlight for only one or two episodes, I'd say Belle "Dumbbell" Harshwhinny is the absolute best boy.

I imagine he's the younger brother of Roma and Blue Bobbin, and is older brother to Hoops, Spearhead, Score, Big Shot, Long Shot and Featherbangs, with his little stepsibling being Short Fuse. His parents are Mrs. Harshwhinny and her ex-husband, along with Stormy Flare, his stepmother on Harshwhinny's side. He has a wide array of nieces and nephews, and in laws and cousins. A notable stepcousin of his is Sunburst, the only son of Stellar Flare.

In my verse, he married in his later teenage years to then-boyfriend Bulk Biceps. They fathered a colt not long after; Featherweight. They would start to become distant and resentful towards one another and divorce when Featherweight is 7 (during FiM, Feathers is a preteen). Bulk would take full custody.

Dumbbell would live a quiet life working at the Weather Factory for a few years, until he meets Lightning Dust. They would stumble into a rocky, non-serious affair, fueled by mutual loniliness (and eventually, a growing fondness for the other). Dusty would soon get pregnant and the panicked pair would be pressured into marriage by her father, Wind Rider. He would name their son, Bottle Rocket. The two would squeeze out another kid, Whirlwind, whose special needs would be very hard on her parents' relationship. Bell and Lightning have a big fight, and Dumbbell decides to take the kids and leave his toxic wife.

Eventually, Dumbbell gets into contact with an ex-girlfriend of his, Rainbow Dash. He would learn after he set up a date with her that she was married. And had brought her wife Pinkie Pie on the date. This relationship would swiftly take a turn to serious polyamory; the three married after some years, and even opted to have a now school-aged foal. Pinkie and Dash's pre-existing children are named Jawbreaker, Starburst, Airhead and Creampuff.

#3. Favorite Background Character

Ditzy Doo/Derpy Hooves/Bubbles/Muffins! Shown is the in-show version of her design and what I've chosen to done with it. To me, Ditzy is an autistic transgender mare and mother with general social anxiety and unshakable kindness. She's the abandoned sister of Daring Do, Scootaloo's birth aunt, Dr. Time Turner Hooves' ex-lover, Dinky Doo's adoptive parent, Screwball's foster, Hoops' wife...
