♞♛ 𝑬𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒏―― 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭
Endeavors headcanons (what he enjoys doing with you) FE Eldigan x reader Eldigan x reader
♞He would love a ride with you; cavalry is his talent, and he would love to invest in it with you. His patriotism for Nordion and Agustria exceeds all limitations, and he would love nothing more than to venture the land with you. Every historical landmark, every site of ruins, every story——he would love to share with you. This is his most vulnerable time, when his pride for his land——for the land that he is loyal to and not its tainted throne—-seeps into his bones and implores that he remind another soul of Agustria’s mountainous and coastal beauty.
♞One of his well-known aspects is that his friendship with Sigurd and Quan is boundless. He admires the two ceaselessly and would be silently gracious if you would merely listen to his tales of their years at Belhalla's military academy. He seldom has the peers to share his thoughts with, so it would bless him beyond articulation for you to encourage him to share his memories and thoughts about his two friends.
♞He has an affinity for swordsmanship and the diversity each smith brings to their blade. He often researches, in what downtime he’s granted, various styles of craftsmanship to expand his exposure to different weaponry and how to incorporate them into any needed strategies or military endeavors. His favored blade, however, is Mystletainn, as that is the blade that represents Agustria in its idealism——untainted. He will forever hold that blade in high regard, and he would ask that you respect that.
♞A witness to the suffering of the people, Eldigan has developed a charitable and generous quality that, simultaneously, is reserved. The people’s receiving of wrong deeds irks him, and he will invest his personal entourage in their safety and security. The Cross Knights, when military matters subside, are supplied in the aftermath of battle to ascertain the people’s status. Thus, if you were a healer or cleric, he would ask that you join him, that you aid the Cross Knights——whom he trusts religiously with your safety——to tend to the children and elders of any places touched by battle.
♞Eldigan is also a history aficionado, a lover of history, of its every battle and detail. He is particularly knowledgeable in the history of battle as well as, as a whole, Agustria's history; entertain him. His passion, although reserved and revered, will blossom anew, and you will be reminded of why he still serves his country. You will learn of his blood, of the tales of Hodr, the Twelve Crusaders, and more beyond what one could know of western Agustria.

feh channel time, so once again, u know what this means
before it starts, i’m gonna predict what i’ve been thinking since the last feh channel; i think the events of this book are going to be influenced to some degree by baldr’s myth (baldr’s half-brother, hodr, gets tricked by loki and kills baldr). this game is influenced by norse mythology to begin with, so i don’t think the idea’s too far-fetched. while the summoner has no relatives to speak of in askr with them, aflonse is rather close to them, and breidablik is the name of the hall of baldr’s home or something like that iirc, so the summoner could realistically be this game’s baldr, kind of. anyway, this got longer than i meant for it to be, so i’ll stop there and wait for the channel to start. again, this is just my predictions before the channel.

Top five favourite mythology references in FE? :O
Oh mannnnnn oh man that’s really hard to choose….ummm…
1. I guess #1 should be an Arthurian reference…blatant though it is, I got warm fuzzies when Seliph the pure-hearted and humble boy with a badass but very dead father got a a magic holy sword out of a lake, thus cementing his right to a divine rule. (It kind of smashes together the two Excalibur legends and of course there are differences – for example, Seliph knew he was intended to lead BEFORE he got the sword – but it still enables him to fulfill that fate nonetheless.) I also like that Deirdre was there with Sigurd, Nimue-style, even though Nimue isn’t Arthurs mom: the associations between femininity, The Fey, alternate spaces (ghosts, fairies, or otherwise), and gift-giving are pretty crucial in Arthuriana as a whole. Extra bonus points for Sigurd’s kid having an Excalibur Moment because the sword-in-the-stone story draws (haha) from the story of the mythological Sigurd pulling Gram out of a tree.
2. Leo and his relationships with Brynhildr and Siegfried. It’s interesting that for all Leo’s notions of masculinity and its associations of control and strength (getting mad about his “girlish” babyface, the sheer strength of his negative reaction to Forrest’s fashion choices), Brynhildr is 1) a mythological woman, 2) a book of magic, and 3) manifests as a tree (since both magic and nature were/are associated with womanhood in a close-to-universal context). In order to “earn/claim” Brynhildr, he had to prove himself worthy, like the mythological Siegfried – but Siegfried already exists, in sword form, and Leo’s elder brother has already earned/claimed that. Which sets the stage for all that excellent tension he and Xander have as rivals, which imo crosses the line from brotherly to toxic at times, thanks to Nohrian culture and their individual insecurities.
3. Mystletainn – from the Norse for “mistletoe.” The blind god Hodr was manipulated into shooting an arrow of mistletoe wood and killing Baldr and regardless of who died if that’s not loyalty-blinded Eltshan and Baldur-blooded Sigurd’s entire Augustrian plotline idk what is.
4. Uther. I just like the name choice – presumably from Uther Pendragon, father of King Arthur.; particularly since Uther seems to take on more of a fatherly role for Hector than a brotherly one (or at least, that’s how I read it).  For both Uthers the story’s not about them and they die early, so all you really know is that they’re Super, Super Badasses. (Also there’re bits of lore about Pendragon uniting various tribes and/or roman factions, while FE Uther leads a collection of separate cantons.)
5. Nergal was the Mesopotamian god of war, plague, and the underworld.
