This may be an unpopular opinion but the Li Lianhua and Fang Duobing dynamic very much reminds me of Wei Wuxian and the ducklings in the Yi City Arc. The way he comes to a mostly complete and accurate conclusion and then guides Fang Duobing into figuring it out for himself. Especially during the Gang Qi/Opal Skull case.

So reminiscent of Wei Wuxian going "Congratulations! You've been poisoned." and then forcing them to eat super spicy congee to cure it. I'm thinking about how Li Lianhua writes down Yangzhouman for him, and he at first refuses. Also the way the ducklings are reluctant to follow Wei Wuxian's directions until they increasingly realize he's pushing them in the right direction. Like Li Lianhua telling him "silence and grace", because when he gets worked up the Gang Qi attacks him again.

Specifically though, the parallels are strong with Li Lianhua & Fang Duobing <=> Wei Wuxian & Jin Ling. The betrayal of finding out Li Lianhua is Li Xiangyi (possibly responsible for his father's death), and Jin Ling finding out "Mo Xuanyu" is Wei Wuxian (responsible for his father's death and indirectly responsible for his mother's death).

(Also finding out a close family member was responsible for pulling the strings that led to the misfortune of the past, while the other person shouldered the blame.)
