"Hello, sis." Magda greets me as I walk out of the airport, she pulls me into her arms and gives me a tight hug.

"Hey." I say and let myself rest in her arms for a few seconds.

"How was your flight?" she asks as she grabs my suitcase.

"Oh wonderful, never had a better time then when I got send away by my own mom." I answer and Magda sighs.

"You know that it is for your best, now come on, Pernille is waiting over there with our car."

We walk around the parking lot and I spot Pernille leaning against a silver car, she waves at us and also pulls me into a hug as soon as I am near her.

We drive to their apartment and I bring my stuff into the guest room, I stayed her many times, when I visited my big sister Magda, but never for so long.

I unpack my stuff, call our mom to tell her that I am fine and eat dinner with them before going back into my room.

After some time I hear a knock on the door, I expect it to be Magda but it's actually Pernille.

"Hey, can I come in?" she asks and I nod.

"It's your apartment." I say and pull my legs up to my chest so she can sit on the bed too.

"How do you feel?" she sits down next to me.

"Thrown out." I say, referring to my situation with mom.

"I know love and I also know that everyone told you that it is for your best, but it's true. You should give it all a chance." she says softly.

I stare at the wall where, someone - Magda? - hung up a few pictures of our family, me, our parents, her and Magda.

"When did mom tell you about what happened?"

"The same day, she called Magda and told her about what happened. I was out with some friends but she told me about it when I came home, you know we've been together for a really long time now and I can tell when something scares her and she really was. She knew that you would probably also won't have a good summer since most of the guys live in your neighborhood. So we offered your mom that you could stay with us." she explains.

Mom never explained it to me like that, at the last week of school she just told me that I will be staying with my big sister for the summer.

"And I like having you here." Pernille adds and I look at her.

I've known her since she got together with Magda, at first I was a little curious about them, not because I didn't like it that they where gay, hell no that was super okay with me, but because I loved my big sister to pieces and I was scared that a relationship would break our bond.

But Pernille was so sweet with me and never tried to get in between us so quickly it felt like she was also my big sister.

"I'm coming with you two, to your training right?" I ask and she nods.

"Yes, but don't worry we're not gonna drag you everywhere with us and we wanna make some day trips with you, but don't tell your sister I said that." she says and stands up.

"I won't tell anything." I promise and she smiles at me.

"Great, good night."

"Good night"

She leaves my room and I change into my pj's before laying down in bed, I read a couple of pages but then decide to call it a night and sleep.

"You can sit there." Magda points to a couple of benches where she also drops off her stuff. She explained to me that the first part of training they have todays is based of on there positions.

So while Pernille goes to her own training, I follow my big sister around like a lost puppy.

I notice that some of the players are looking at us, but they're to far away from us so that they could ask me who I am.

As Magda walks over to them, I pull my book out of my pocket and start reading.

A couple of times I took a break to watch them play but not for long.

"Uh what a surprise that Magda didn't put you on a leash." I hear Pernilles voice and look up, she and a couple of other players, the midfielders I suppose, are walking towards me.

This morning when we left their apartment, Magda said that incase I tried to run away during their training she would send Georgia to tickle me down.

I know that she was only joking but I also knew that she wouldn't be amused if I just went off without telling her.

"I think she realized that I am not a dog or a toddler." I answer and close my book.

Some of the other players are looking at us and then at each other but Pernille also notices it.

"I am sorry for my girlfriends bad manners, this is Y/N, Magdas little sister, she is staying with us for the summer." Pernille introduces me and some of them wave at me.

Most of the defenders Magda trained with also came over and hear Pernilles last words.

"Uhh, you sure can tell us some good stories about your sister." a women says and sits down next to me, her accent also sounds kind Scandinavian but she is defiantly not form Sweden, I would have known her from the national team.

"No she cant Glodis." Magda says to her, shaking her head.

"There are defiantly some, if you tell me I promise I protect her from you." Glodis whispers to me, but loud enough so everyone else can hear it too.

"Yeah there are some but I wouldn't be a good sister if I share them." I excuse myself and Magda nods proudly.

"That's right."

"Let her be Glodis, you also wouldn't share our stories." another women says with the same accent, she looks quiet younger than most of the players but not less sporty.

"I would never." Glodis answers, smiling at her.

And something between them, the look they share, is the same like between my sister and Pernille.

"Okay girls, let's get back to training." A man, I identify as their trainer Alexander Straus, says and they get up again.

This time I watch them and don't even notice when a women sits down next to me, she has a splint around her leg and is dressed in some normal cloths, not the usual FC Bayern cloths.

"I'm Caro." she says, looking at me.

"Y/N, I'm Magdas sister." I say also making clear who I am.

"Cool, normally I would also be a defender like her."

I look at her splint "What happened?"

"ACL, only a month ago, something every player is scared off." she explains and I nod.

"I am sorry."

She laughs at me "Don't be, I am fine."

I stay silent, not knowing what to reply to that.

"I don't wanna be rude, but why are you here? Spending the day watching some people playing football doesn't really seems like something, you want to do all summer long." she says, I look at Magda on the pitch.

"I got into some trouble in school and they didn't want me to get into any during the summer so I am here now." I explain and she nods.

We sit there watching them until the training is finished and then wait until they get out of the shower and go with the team to grab a late lunch.

After that I drive home with Magda and Pernille and they show me a little around their neighborhood.

Most of my days from them look like this, they have training and I come with them, sometimes Caro is also there and we talk a little, but most of the time I read.

Before or after their training, they show me around town, on our first weekend we go to a lake and go for a swim.

"Can I ask you something?" Caro says, sitting down next to me, it's a Monday, the sky is grey and I'm pretty sure that it will rain later.

"Sure." I say, putting my bock down and taking a sip from my water bottle.

"I think in the last two weeks I've got to know you really well, and to be honest, I cant imagine that someone like you would get into any trouble."

I look at the players.

Magda, our mom, my teachers, even Pernille, all of them asked me what happened.

"I punched a boy in the face." I say, that's what I told everyone, but never the reason why.

"He...you know that Magda and Pernille are pretty open about their relationship."

Caro nods but doesn't say anything.

"In our neighborhood, practically everyone knows everyone and some boys in my school, apparently weren't so okay with their relationship and they know that she's my sister so they started annoying me."

I pause, remembering the face of this asshole when he felt my fist hitting him.

"At first it where only some mean comments that weren't even about her, more like nerd or freak, a couple of weeks before summer, he said that I should write an essay for him or else he would tell everyone my sisters little secret. I didn't know what he meant, he never met my sister, so I refused and walked past him when he said that my sister was a whore and would burn in hell for having a relationship with a women, I asked him to repeat that because I could believe what I was hearing and he did. He said it again and some other things I won't repeat. Something inside me got so mad and before I could do anything, I punched him in the face."

Caro looks at me in shook.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I hear a voice and turn around, it's Magda, the other players behind her.

"You would be all freaked out about it, mom too, so I didn't say anything." I say, she walks up and sits down next to me.

"I am sorry that you have such problems because of me." she says but I grab her hand.

"Don't, there is nothing wrong with being gay, I know that, he is just not smart enough to understand something like that." I explain and she nods, wrapping an arm around me.

"That's true and if loving a women, means that we will burn in hell that I can live with that, because I already experienced haven in her love." Lea says, and comes closer.

I smile at her words, behind her I notice Glodis looking at Karo, Magda told me her name a couple of days ago.

"I'm proud of you for defending us, even though violence is not an answer." Magda says and hugs me softly.

"PARTY." Georgia screams and everyone looks at her confused.

"I mean we need to celebrate that, someone standing up for those who cant stand up for themselves, like...." she searches for the right word. "Like Wonder Woman, you are Wonder Woman."

I laugh and Magda shakes her head smiling.

"I agree with Georgia. Y/N only got punished for what she did, we should celebrate her." Klara agrees.

The team decides to meet up for Pizza tonight and have some fun, including me.

Later when we drive home, I lean towards Pernille who is sitting in the passengers seat, quietly humming to the song that's coming from the radio.

"I have a question." She turns towards me,

"Karo and Glodis." I say and she nods.

"Are they a couple?"

"YES I TOLD YOU THEY HAVE A VIBE!" Pernille screams and I need a minute to realize that she meant Magda.

"Unfortunately not, but I thought that too, the way they look at each other is just so gay." she says towards me.

So I wasn't the only one to see it.

"Maybe yes, but they need to figure it out on their own, nobody should make assumptions about someone else." Magda says and I laugh.

"Amen." I answer.

"But don't punch anyone if they look at them for too long." Magda fires back and I act offended.

"I would never." I say and make her laugh.

"Yeah, but I am still very proud that you stood up for us."

" I did it because I love you, you both." I look at Pernille for a second. "I know that violence isn't right, but nobody gets to say anything bad about my sisters."

"And I always thought that as a big sister I had to protect you but I guess it's the other way around me." Magda says, she stops at a red light and looks at me.

"I love you too sis."

"Me too, I love you both." Pernille adds "I love you to the moon and to Saturn."

"And the Taylor Obsession is coming trough." Magda says rolling her eyes, but smiling at her girlfriend.

I just started liking Puppet and now they’re out here playing with poor Jack’s emotions. Did they forget they were the one who called Jack Freddy’s brother and acted like a parental figure to him. Why is it now all of a sudden that now that they’re dating Foxy and FC is calling them mom is Puppet put off by Jack calling them mom.

And how is it on Jack that they haven’t spent time together recently? Jack literally does not know how to do anything on his own and Puppet especially knows this. But no, let’s pawn parental responsibilities off on Earth and Monty and trick poor Jack into doing your chores.

And don’t get me started how there’s an entire video that came out the exact same day that consists of Puppet spending time with FC!

I swear, this is an exact repeat of when I just started liking Gemini only for them to become guilt tripping, gaslighting, victim blaming, manipulative butt holes. Every single time they talk to Lunar they always use the “If it wasn’t for us” line while also continuously blaming Lunar for losing control at the sight of his abuser. Even when they showed up to Puppet and Monty, they blamed FC for being forced to absorb negative star power. How is it his fault they were literally made to be a battery? How is it Lunar’s fault that Eclipse was using his trauma against him?

Honestly, any likability for Puppet is quickly going down the drain and joining Gemini and Nexus (you don’t wanna get me started on that word I cannot say on Tumblr)

You were already at Camp Nou, the place where you had an important match with your rivals, Fc Barcelona. You were playing for Real Madrid, the team of your dreams since you were just a child.

Your family is a football lover, that being the main reason why they joined you in this academy. You were really good, people saying that you have a unique talent. Everyone loved you since the beginning, and you absolutely adored your teammates.

This game was important. Who wins, wins the ligue. You promised yourself to give your best and to not disappoint anyone.

Your family and friends were there, supporting you as always and you were waving at them, happily.

You were so nervous right now, seeing so many people watching you warm up. Especially since you found out that the players from Barcelona were going to be there.

You weren't the toxic type of fan. You respected both teams. Of course, you would answer if someone asked you that Real Madrid is your favourite, but you never said something bad towards their big rivals.

Yes, they won laliga, but now it's time for Real Madrid too.

"I really have better things to do other than go to this game" said Gavi while standing on his chair, watching the players warming up. He was in no mood for football, all he wanted to do was to relax. He just won laliga and he had to go soon to the national team. Bad luck for him that Xavi made them all go to support the academy girls on this big day.

He wasn't a bad guy, he really wanted the girls to win because they totally deserved it, but right now he was too tired and wanted to do something that wasn't related to football. He wanted to relax this few days until he had to go to Madrid for training.

"It will be over soon, hermano" Pedri tried to console his friend.

"Who do you think will win?" asked Ansu.

"Ah, I really hope that our girls" replied Pedri.

"I hope that too, but the Real players from the academy are really good. It will be for sure an exited match. You won't get bored, Gavi" laughed Balde.

The boy only rolled his eyes and laughed. It will be for sure an interesting match.

Pedri was really grumpy that they had so many occasions of goal, but the goalkeeper managed to save them all. Besides that, Real Madrid was yet winning, being 2-0 for them.

It was now minute 44' and Barcelona scored. People were cheering for the team, but not too much, still being behind their rivals.

"This is for sure not our day, hermanos"

"Ansu, have a little bit of faith!" laughed Balde.

"He might be right. Today, real looks better than us" admitted Gavi sad. He really had hope for the girls to win and he still does, but deep down he knew that they were going to lose.

The boys talked about everything, until it was time for the other half to begin.

"Visca Barca!!" shouted Ansu and they all laughed at his silliness.

"Yes, visca Barca!"

The game began really well. It was already 2- 2 in minuted 48' and the boys were really happy and cheering. Eventually, they scored again, making Ansu dancing.

"What is that, hermano!?" laughed Pedri hard.

"It's called the dance of happiness, Pedrito" made the boy fun of his friend.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" he replied in surrender.

"And after a very short period of time, I will do the dance of winning!"

"Yeah, yeah, sure!"

Barcelona was winning, and you were really panicking now. You were running faster and more than ever. You trained too hard, and you couldn't lose today. You had to make your family and team proud of you.

You ran and ran for every ball, and when it was 5 minutes left, you scored. 3-3

You were so happy that you started to jump on all your teammates. People on Camp Nou started to cheer your name.

"Vamosss, hermanitaa"

"Let's go, amigas. We still have a match to win" you said and you went back, fighting for another goal.

Jordi tried to make his friend calm down, but he was really grumpy now.

"I can't believe it! We were winning and that girl had to do 2 goals in 5 minutes! Unbelievable!"

"It happens in football, hermano. Next game, we will win"

"She did a good game, don't you think?" whispered Lewandowski on Gavi's ear, seeing him looking constantly at her.

"I really wanted us to win, Lewa, but the way she played.. somehow I'm happy that they won"

Lewandowski smiled, seeing his little teammate blushing a little. Maybe coming to this game was a great decision, after all.

You were all sweaty and tired, with a red face, but still.. so beautiful. He found your Instagram and looked at some photos of you. Most of them were with you playing, but the ones from holidays were his favourite. You, dressing elegantly, with a natural makeup look...

He didn't follow you, but he was still looking at your stories whenever you would post them.

When you saw that Pablo Gabi saw your stories, you thought that he only wanted to see who won today, but when he constantly saw the ones from the party, you started to be really nervous. He was a player from Barcelona and you couldn't be interested in someone from that club. People would say that you would betray your team and you were so loyal to them. You tried to forget about it and to enjoy your night, but it was really hard.

When you got home late and were so tired, you still made time to look at his ig account, too. The boy was really breathtaking. When you went to see some reals and tik toks of him, you found out that he was also a sweetheart. You knew about him, everyone in Spain knew, but not so much details.

The videos of him and kids made you blush and smile like an idiot. And when you saw the one with the fan asking him for a huh after signing her something (gif) made you want to cry of how beautiful his smile is.

The thought that he saw you playing tonight made it hard to fall asleep. You knew that you won't get to meet him. You, leaving in Madrid and him in Barcelona, made it really hard.

You were an optimistic type of person, but this time you knew it was impossible, until you met again. Where? At the spain national team..

Idk why but I feel like I'm a side character in my own life 😭 not just that I feel like a robot (closest thing to that feeling) like everyone else has emotions and can be sad or angry and I just. Exist. Like that's all I have going on...

Sometimes it's a good thing!!! Like hey at least I have no mental illnesses or anything. I'm just always content with my life, and so far this whole year I only felt INTENSE sadness like 4 times and it just went away in the matter of like 3 hours. Even then, that wasn't sadness,, it was just anger at myself. I don't really associate crying with sadness, because I cry here and there for dumb reasons... last time I cried was when I heard my best friends say I love you because I REALLY needed that. And the time before that was me winning a football match on FC 24 against my dad, then I started crying because I started thinking about maybe it would be the last football game he'll ever play with me ☹️ but yeah, last time I cried was like a month ago. It's really rare that I feel like I need to sob or anything. As I said, it's good because people always associate me with happiness and ooo energy.

This isn't the problem tho. I feel like I know so much about everyone but nobody knows crap about me. Like trust me I'm an open book, ask me about anything and I'll give you an extended answer with a life experience + analysis. I get so excited when anyone asks me anything personal like my favourite colour or my favourite hobbies. It's not my friend's faults', trust me. They're amazing people and I will love them forever. But I feel like they're the main characters in MY life. I just happen to be the one who is always taking every picture and recording every moment. But I'll never be in any of those pictures because I'm the one holding the camera.

It makes me sick, I need to know every little detail about my friends, my family, even just a Tumblr mutual, but the closest people to me don't even know my middle name. I love my mom but she doesn't know what I like to do as a hobby. She has no idea that I like writing, or history. But I know everything about her. That's the case for everyone. This feeling makes me sick because I always feel overwhelmed. By the time I wanna go to sleep I'm stuck in bed for 3 hours without sleeping yet because my head is thinking at a thousand miles an hour. I always feel like I have to cut off people here and there so my life can weigh a little less😭

Everyone knows this one, I'm a heavy extrovert, and I talk all the time but it's never about me. When I'm yapping I'm either explaining how something works or talking about that one memory with my friends. I'm not used to venting because I'm scared of someone saying "not everything is about you". I've never been friends with a listener, everyone else talks and even I TALK, but I wish there was just someone out there who knew what's my biggest fear or smth.

Moral of the story, I feel like I bottle my feelings all the time. I think twice before I hit that post button and decide that it should stay in my drafts because oddvanilla is this person who's always happy, if you see me venting it'll be awkward. I don't want anyone to solve my problems, I just don't HAVE any problems to begin with. I just wish someone would listen this time. Hi just notice me pls I have feelings other than energetic!!!! Please keep it in mind at least that I wanna be heard :( I'm sick of speaking up for everyone who can't but I never get a chapter in the book for myself. Even if you just say something like "same omg" at least it would feel better that I'm not alone in this messed up feeling.

Shifting Tonal Expectations using Video Game Music (Part 1)

For every video game that I ended up loving, there was one constant across all of them: an excellent and emotionally provoking soundtrack that complements the rest of the experience naturally. Be it an epic battle against an unfathomable existence, an emotional milestone for our beloved characters or simply a new beginning, video game music always manages to grab the player's attention and pull them into its own world.

In many cases, these tracks aim to fulfill one of many things: establishing the tone of the experience and, by extension, giving the players a taste of the adventure that they are about to go on.

But what happens when the established tone has changed? That's where video game music shines even brighter: establishing and communicating a tonal shift to the players without a single word being uttered.

In this series of posts, I'll be presenting and analyzing some brilliant examples of this technique, and going through their context, usage and result of said usage.

What about spoilers?

There will be spoilers for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky FC, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Persona 3. Regarding Persona 3, the tracks that will be linked in the posts will be the ones from the Reload release of the game.
