some notes on aegon's ( physical ) appearance 🤭

i really enjoy the notion that he takes after alicent, visually, and i emphasize that over the novel's insistence that he resembles viserys. he has the slope of her nose and her pouty lips, as well as her hair texture. ( thick, soft, and curly. no straightening that. if it's humid outside, it's over for him. )

on the topic of hair: it's silver in colour. he keeps it short, above the shoulder. think episodes 8-9 of season one; combed back, tucked behind the ear, the occasional loose curl draping over his face. it's naturally long but he took scissors to it during his teenage years and he's never let it grow out again. if you'd ask him, he'd say it's for the sake of practicality but it's actually his distaste for being compared to his father.

violet eyes with specks of pink and gold, like the picture of dawn which he shares with sunfyre. often red-rimmed and sullen with wine-induced weariness, though.

he does have some defined muscle but he's not overly toned as he doesn't engage in training too often. naturally lean but softer around his belly and thighs. ( due to a combination of consistent drinking & sprawling about. )

in terms of height, he's around 5'8 - 5'9. doesn't care too much about it but it does annoy him that aemond's taller now.

he has a proud way about him ; his mannerisms skew toward poise with a habitual edge of coy, playful bemusement and a sense of superiority, which ironically conflicts with his many insecurities. he can shift between languid movements to very theatric actions in the span of a second, as he's prone to emotional outbursts when distressed.
