hello everypony welcome to my blog, made entirely to rant, rave and whatever else i desire. i guess you could say this is my personal blog, but i already have a personal blog, so this is more like a fandom blog that's also a personal blog.

you can call me taffy, taff, or ramona. i am an adult who, at the moment of writing this, is working on a ba/ma while also working, so i'm pretty busy. outside of that you should probably know i'm an autistic person. i'm direct and blunt about things to a fault, and i apologize in advance if i come off as extremely rude. i'm also nb (she/they), desi, and bisexual.

i'm in a relationship with someone, but i also have what i like to call a "bff unicorn fbuddy" but also not really. labels don't do it justice. just know, if i'm talking about max, that's my partner. if i'm talking about "leech", that's my bff unicorn who i have romantic and sexual relations with, lol.

Honestly I’m just sad.

All of my friend are getting married or in committed relationships and I am unable to match with anyone that isn’t just wanting a fbuddy.

Like I really just wish I had a committed t4t relationship in my area. Is that so fucking hard 😭

I wish my ex-digital-fbuddy knew this, because it fucked up my self esteem and confidence for years because they gaslit me, said that they were done with the relationship, and then accused me of sexually harassing them and digital rape because they continued to interact and send nudes and videos and such, without prompting. I thought for years that I was a horrible person because I must have pressured them and I must have made them think that I wanted to continue when I didn't, and that wasn't the case.

We were both done with the relationship/situation, and neither one of us clearly expressed what/how we were feeling. Due to that, we were both hurt and now don't talk. I have issues now with relationships, and I'm sure they do too, as baring yourself physically and emotionally, and then regretting it or feeling like you were wrong to do so, has lasting consequences.

My take away, and also how I've been proceeding since then, is COMMUNITCATE. I am perhaps a wee bit too blunt with my communication at the start of relationships now, but at least I know to do it at all now. It's okay to make mistakes, and grow from them, just don't let them consume you.

Don't throw out words that are too light or harsh for the situation, or words you don't know the meaning of. If you're upset, take a minute, breathe, and come back to continue the conversation later, explain why you have to. Just don't burn bridges over jumbled words and feelings in the moment.

i think if we’re going to have conversations about consent we should talk about how consenting to something doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a good experience, and having a bad experience doesn’t necessarily mean someone violated your consent. this can apply to a lot of situations but the two i’m thinking of right now are sex and transition.

you’re getting it on with someone. you enthusiastically consent to having sex with them. afterward, you feel a little weird about it. maybe even distressed. maybe they did something you didn’t enjoy and in the moment you just didn’t say anything. maybe you just realized after the fact that you were not in a good headspace for sex and now your mental health is declining. that doesn’t inherently mean the person you had sex with violated your consent. sometimes it just means you need to take a break from sex or work on communicating your needs or boundaries better during sex.

and with transition, i feel like this is something that gets consistently overlooked but like. there will never be zero detransitioners. there will always be people who decide that actually transition wasn’t right for them. they could have had the best most thorough doctors in the world who did everything by the book and got full informed consent at every step. and some people are still going to decide they don’t like the changes and wish they hadn’t transitioned. that doesn’t mean that the doctors violated their consent, and that doesn’t mean that transition shouldn’t be available to anyone. it just means that we need to have more resources available for folks who detransition.

regret does not automatically mean someone did something wrong. regret is simply one possible result of having bodily autonomy, and i think we need to get more comfortable with that.
