     she’s      frozen      in      spot,                      the    shock    of    the    kiss    itself    not      nearly      measuring    up    to    the    shock    of    who    was    kissing    her.    she’s    not    quite    sure      why      this    is    happening,    whether    it’s    a      hiding      in      plain      sight      tactic    she’d    filmed    so    many    times    in    movies    or    if    it    was    something      else      and    her    brain    was    short    circuiting    too    much    that    reason    wasn’t    coming    to    mind,    but    reggie    decided    to      roll      with      it,      a    hand    moving    to    cup    the    side    of    his    face    as    she    pushed    forward,    kissing    him    back.

     she      waits      until      he      pulls      away,                     until      he      calls    it    quits    before    she    stops,    eyes    opening    to    look    at    him    directly.    the    corner    of    her    mouth    pulls    into    a    smirk,    and    reggie    blinks,    just    to    make    sure    she    wasn’t    having    a      very      weird      dream.           ❛           uh    ...      hi.            ❜
