[THE HIGH PRIESTESS] - Do they easily trust others, or do they listen to their gut more? Are they distrusting?

neither. lucille is a hyper-vigilant person, and her trust has to be earned with time, not with just her gut. even then, it varies from person to person — some people she'd trust her life with but not necessarily her emotions and vice versa, for example. there are exceptions to this rule when the situation calls for it, like temporary alliances towards a common goal, but those are also few and far in between.

[THE LOVERS] - Are they a good communicator, or do they tend to crack under pressure?

overall yes! when it comes to interpersonal conflicts, she absolutely despises letting them fester (a trait less commonly found in the batfamily, funnily enough). she has shit with you, you'd definitely know about it. fight it off. yell about it. whatever. just not her style to let it sit. in terms of literally everything else, she has no issues expressing her thoughts and ideas. whether she's being truthful to you would be another matter altogether.

you're the star of the show, baby! and boy does that come with a lot of emotional turmoil. you have a seemingly endless supply of determination. whether you have a lot of goals, or one big one, you're constantly working towards it. you're pretty restless, and struggle with imposter syndrome and generally feeling like you should be doing more. your insecurity might not be immediately obvious to others, however, as you come across as very strong and bold. vulnerability is not your strong suit, and that's likely to be your downfall. if only you had just let people in, and asked for help... well, maybe this was always gonna be a tragedy.

people  really  are  unoriginal  when  it  comes  to  dungeons.  aether  swears  she  has  seen  such  designs  more  times  than  she  could  count.  same  brick  walls  when  it  is  needed,  same  poles  to  keep  it  all  up  and  even  the  traps  are  similar.  the  blonde  is  losing  her  focus.

STILL,  she  pauses  when  she  notices  a  small  difference.  a  finger  is  raised.  she  casts  prestidigitation.  a  loud  clap  fills  the  area.  “  young  one,  are  you  prepared  for  combat?  ”  she  asks  while  she  notices  some  small  bandits  flinch  from  beyond  the  shadows.

it comes as no surprise that hospitals are boring places.  sterile  ,  and somehow seemingly far too empty.  and jessica is left blind.  not even the television strung up in a corner of the room could keep her occupied.  nothing to do except keep her eyelids closed underneath the bandages.  to not think about there are no eyes for lids to close over.

yet jessica is not helpless  /  an all powerful red queen  /  no longer just a teenage girl.  something had changed  ,  poured inside her and ignited.  lost her eyes but gained something else.  neither a fault of addison  /  a best friend connected together now more than ever.  so maybe it is through routine or something more magical  ,  that she knows when her friend is coming.  vermillion head turning to the door slowly.  she wishes she could see addison.  memories much suffice.  and while it is only her voice  ,  jessica’s lips are pulled into a smile.

❛  not really.  ❜     honest enough  ,  she gets visitors at regular intervals.  most continually expressing their sympathies     (  while quite repetitive  ,  jessica cannot fault them  ,  she must be in quite a sorry state  )     primarily about her injuries.  hospitals might be boring places but her friends make it worthwhile.  knowing they will not leave her  /  always be by her side.     ❛  but i’m glad you’re here.     —————     i missed you.  ❜

THE BETRAYAL.

you die at the hands of the person you love most. maybe there are tears in their eyes as they drive the sword into your chest, maybe there is none. there are certainly tears in yours. your mouth will open to ask 'why' only to spit blood instead. you will die never knowing if they loved you at all, wondering if you could've done something to prevent this, or if it was always going to end this way.

“ - i knew you were alive, ” the singularity vocalized as she turns around. many would gasp in fear and shock, but michiru had seen worse. she could even see the beauty with the vines that belonged to what addison now is. “ i could sense it in the anger of the wind; death isn’t pleased, but it amuses me. ” she cocks her head to the side. she laughs gently. “ -- i’m glad to see you. ”

“uh -- hey.” stan’s nervous, he’s anxiously flexing his fingers before he crams his hands in his pockets to hide his nerves. ( she could probably hear his heart pounding if she got close enough, but thankfully he’s standing a few feet away ). she might catch the sweat on his forehead or the heavy breath, but god forbid she see him stimming. “you’re uhm -- addison, right?” he inhales a little and wipes his sweaty palms on his jeans before he sticks out a too straight arm, reaching out for a shake. “stanley barber. we’re in uhm... bio together?”

addison was a good friend of rikki’s.  and the great thing about her was this remarkable effect she had on the mermaid:  she inspired her.  not in an incredibly  PROFOUND  way--rikki was still a particularly unmotivated teenager.  but addison’s friendship gave rikki more motivation than she usually had  ( which was none ). 

and today, rikki proved it by asking,  “ hey, addi, you think you could teach me some moves for self-defense ? ”
