Yasmine Alder~ Super Model and Co-Founder of La Mode Fashions! This beautiful woman is a character from the Cherie Fields Webcomic! She has to be one of my Favorites!!! I love a bossy It Girl! If y’all haven’t read Cherie yet I highly recommend it! It’s available on Webtoons and Tapas!
Cherie Fields is a comic by Donovan Kelly. He is such a sweetheart and getting to watch his progress as an artist and storywriter is amazing!

@otterloreart With a shaped tube of faux fur hot glued in place 😭😭😭 She's so sweet. 😭😭😭 I can't thank you enough for sharing your work.
The dress is from the bags of vintage Ginny and Vogue doll clothes I found recently at the thrift store. It fits her really really well 😯

everyone suggesting alternatives for Photoshop is inevitably not actually using most of the Photoshop functionality, which to be fair is probably the vast majority of the potential Photoshop userbase.
the reason Photoshop has been industry standard for 30 years is that it does almost everything and has almost always done almost everything. it has had a few weird slow adoptions, for example it didn't support basic live mirroring while drawing until the 2010s (ish). it didn't have recovery saves or auto saving until about then. it's never been the absolute last word in real media synthesis, that was Corel Painter for years and now I think CSP is probably the king. illustrator is better at vectors. etc. but Photoshop can do all of those things well enough to prepare a professional grade, print-ready artwork from RAW file to layout to text to retouching to total from-scratch illustration, in one step, with layer and channel separation, multiple types of masking, adjustment layers, lossless file object placement, vector text transformation including all standard print layout tools like kerning, like spacing, comprehensive font support, and both true font variation and faux transformation like fake bold and fake italic. and clients and print workflows are expecting PSD files and file preparation for this reason. Krita, as an example of a popular program suggested as an "alternative to Photoshop" which I have used for hundreds of hours to do professional and personal work, is great for drawing but has a completely unusable text engine, you can't make a webcomic with speech bubbles easily and quickly in Krita. it was like pulling teeth even trying to put "BABY SLUT" on my Lethal Company skin with Krita. but you can lay out an entire magazine in Photoshop in an afternoon, and people do (print preparation is whole other topic I'm not saying vogue is prepared solely in Photoshop, it isn't, I'm saying you CAN do it in Photoshop)
I have never paid for an Adobe product, I am not pro Photoshop, I am pro getting my work done. I would absolutely love for there to be an actual Photoshop alternative, but there isn't. there are individual alternatives for individual features of Photoshop, and if you are working in a limited professional scope or you just want a drawing program or just want to make your webcomic or just want to do pixel art then one or two programs will replace Photoshop for you. everyone who, like me, has to do RAW editing, fashion retouching, print and web layout, pure digital illustration, vector illustration, text and graphic design, and all the rest of the crap I have to do in a format that's accepted by publishers and the rest of the various workflow destinations it's just not realistic. which is why it's great that Photoshop is completely trivial to pirate at any stage of its development you care to install, including versions prior to the introduction of the AI crap, the cloud crap, and the rest of the crap no one serious is actually using unless their manager is forcing them to

The main thing that I have found so frustrating regarding the BRF’s handling of H and M is they always seem to be on their back foot. Seriously, they have courtiers, RPO, M-15 and other people working for them and they didn’t know she was working on a Vogue cover, Gayle King interview at baby’s birth, merching like crazy and the faux royal tour to Nigeria? It makes the RF look weak - especially when Charles puts out his pity PR.
It’s Charles that looks weak on this. The BRF, especially KP and William, look pretty strong by comparison.
Hear me out.
From all the reporting, the BRF at-large was aware of what Meghan was doing. They just couldn’t stop it preemptively (that’s the power of her race card and a spoiled twat for a husband) and had to wait for it to play out publicly first so they could respond publicly with protocols.
They asked her repeatedly about the September Vogue, suggesting they heard something, but Meghan kept lying about it.
They knew she was merching because they sent cease-and-desists and pulled ads down. The palace and their aides know PR. They may not know Hollywood/American PR, but they know the game generally well enough that someone knew what she was doing with the merch. (And don’t forget that Sophie was a PR exec when she married Edward so she knew things as well.)
They knew she was talking to Oprah and Gayle because they asked Meghan point-blank about it once (surprise, she lied) and they refused to let her dial into Sandringham Summit over fears that she’d record it without their knowledge.
They were probably aware she was cooking something up for Archie’s birth. Did they know the true extent? Probably not, but they knew something was up, hence the disorganized media briefings on May 6, 2019 - per Bower, the Sussexes didn’t plan to say or do anything about Archie’s birth until Gayle King had arrived. Reading between the lines in both Bower and Spare, it sounds like the palace caught wind of something and made the usual announcements to take the steam out of the Americans breaking the news about Archie’s birth.
I suspect that William and Kate saw this writing on the wall, and that’s why they worked so hard to get the Sussexes out of the Royal Foundation and out of Kensington Palace as quickly as they did. They were fully aware of Meghan’s “I do what I want and you can’t stop me” attitude from the engagement and knew they had to act quickly to protect not just their future authority but their current reputations. And it appears to have worked: all the blowback for what the Sussexes did landed on Clarence House and now Charles looks extraordinarily weak because he’s always reacting (vs KP, who shows strength through control).

btw Whatsapp is holding a 'women in motorsports' dinner and Carmen is the host, which is a choice, and a effing weird one at that. there's so many women in motorsports out there to host something like that, whatsapp is Doriane's sponsor after all.
(I got two asks on this so not sure if you accidentally sent it twice anon, or if you have a thought twin somewhere!)
Yeahhhh, I've seen that and I feel exactly the same as you do on the matter, and what's annoying is I feel like we've had this exact argument about what constitutes a 'woman in motorsport' before, back when Puma put Carlos' ex gf in an ad campaign with the tag line, and Kelly was in Vogue with the same title, and yet STILL brands are doing this lazy feminism and tone deafness.
It's unfortunate that this criticism comes sharp on the heels of the book nonsense, because it gives the opportunity for it to get dismissed as 'hate' when really it's not about which wag is doing it this time, it's about the fact that brands want to appear like they're uplifting women, whilst just further imposing the limitations and boundaries they claim to be fighting against.
I get why she would accept. She's not ultimately the problem in this instance (although I have some questions about how many Merc sponsors she's suddenly partnering with, in a way that we don't see from other wags. It's giving heavy nepo and idk that it's a great look, or really aligning with her financial independence schtick she's been pushing - come on girl have some awareness)
As you say there are COUNTLESS women in motorsport who would have been a great pick to put their name to this. Women who have genuinely fought through and overcome the patriarchal hurdles that motorsport poses in order to take their place on the grid or in the paddock. Wags have not done that. Their paddock pass is afforded them purely on the basis of who they know and they do not represent women who have faced an uphill battle to be seen and heard in a male dominated industry.
And this is where the Wag culture obsession really grinds my gears, because brands do know this and are more than likely picking wags to front their events like this a) for their image, because whilst the purpose is women, they still want to use women deemed conventionally attractive to entice men to take an interest - just check out the mean comments on Doriane's appearance under her Kimmel interview. And b) for their follower counts - which don't get me started on how ig follower volume is not a meritocracy - but rather than a huge brand like WhatsApp picking someone like Doriane and using their platform to push her story and bring it to more people, they'd rather pick Carmen and have her promote their event to her cohort of followers and all the young girls who follow her who'll now mistakenly think "Oh WhatsApp cares about women!"
It's more bullshit faux feminism (much like female invest funnily enough) Like I said, she's not the architect of it, but she is complicit in it and it's disappointing all around. Doriane, Bernie Collins, Ruth Buscombe, the list of people better suited for this is endless. I think the real test is going to be (much like these Charlotte tilbury dinners) how many ACTUAL women in motorsport will be invited, or will it be another influencer event that's all for show?
