O primeiro tinto de 2022 foi de Rioja 🇪🇸 — região espanhola que tenho sabida predileção — e com super custoXbenefício! Posso dizer que comecei com o pé direito! Este é o “Faustino Crianza 2016” da @FaustinoBodegas, um vinho 100% Tempranillo com 12 meses de passagem por barricas de carvalho americano. 🍷Cor vermelho-rubi de média intensidade. Aromas de frutas vermelhas maduras, casca de laranja, coco e madeira. Na boca é seco, tem corpo médio, acidez moderada e taninos médios e macios. Repete a fruta e a madeira, com média persistência. 📝 Belo vinho! Tudo em equilíbrio! Fácil e gostoso de beber, sem complexidade ou grandes pretensões. Clear med ruby with wide edges showing almost all pink but if you zoom in far enough and stare a little too hard, you might convince yourself you see nipple of brick. Clean nose sullied by sage, mulled wine, muddy road, latex, elderberry and pretty pretty pink flowers that forgot Valentine's is over and swells and swells with each swirl like you did after dinner last night. Acidic and a little too structured for its age, there literally IS no tertiary, a raspy mouthfeel entirely too bright and smart for its own good. Light nectarine and zitrusy cherry, fruit thin but not entirely vapid, just almost lost in the spice, mild heat and tannin. This is NOT a huge wine. This is not a concentrated, robust, oaked, or even stunning wine. If you told me it was a 2017 Contra Costa County Carignane, I'd believe you. There's no fuckin way I'd believe it was 13. Hard to say where this is headed. Semana finalizada com um vinhaço espanhol daqueles: o “Faustino I Gran Reserva 2008” da @FaustinoBodegas 🇪🇸. Um Rioja de estilo clássico, elaborado com as típicas uvas Tempranillo, Graciano e Mazuelo, e maturado por 26 meses em barricas de carvalho americano e francês (por isso classificado como “Gran Reserva”). 🍷 Na taça tem cor rubi de média intensidade. Aromas de frutas negras maduras (especialmente cassis), especiarias doces (como alcaçuz e baunilha), couro e chocolate. Na boca tem corpo médio, acidez moderada e taninos sedosos, de média intensidade. Fruta madura, coco e chocolate, com longa persistência. 📝 Uma delicia de vinho! Muito equilibrado, macio e elegante, com fruta gostosa e uso impecável da madeira.
