"Having soon discovered to be great, I must appear so, and therefore studiously avoided mixing in society, and wrapped myself in mystery, devoting my time to fasting and prayer"

Awakening the Spirit: Reflections on the End of the Daniel Fast
As the curtains draw on the Daniel Fast, it's a moment of both reflection and anticipation. This period of fasting and prayer is not merely a ritual but a profound spiritual journey. It's a deliberate act of surrender, a way of giving the upcoming year to the Lord, and a testament to our seriousness about our desires and goals. In this blog post, I'll delve into the transformative power of fasting and prayer, exploring personal testimonies that speak volumes about the divine intervention experienced during this sacred time.
The Foggy Highway Miracle:
One of my own most remarkable testimonies during this season of fasting and prayer involves a seemingly ordinary yet potentially disastrous incident. On an emergency trip to KZN, navigating through heavy fog late at night (1am to be exact) became a perilous challenge. The visibility was reduced to almost nothing, and in a split second of distraction, the unexpected bend in the highway appeared. The result? A collision with concrete barriers. In that heart-stopping moment, a silent prayer for protection was uttered, the second one of the day as I had already prayed before I left, and the divine response was nothing short of miraculous. Arriving at my destination revealed not a scratch on my car. It was a tangible manifestation of God's grace amidst the fog of uncertainty.
Unveiling True Colors:
In the realm of relationships, particularly one that had been a source of pain and frustration in my own life, the Daniel Fast became a catalyst for change. This person, who had been a thorn in my side for a significant part of the previous year, seemed impervious to others' perceptions. The heartfelt prayers for clarity, for others to see the true colors of this individual, were seemingly unanswered until the final week of the fast. Public revelations unfolded, laying bare the reality that had been known by myself all along. While the circumstances were far from joyful, the unveiling of true colors became a much-needed confirmation of why I felt uneasy surrounding that specific person and their relationship with specific individuals whom I care greatly for.
Small Victories Leading to the Greater Goal:
Amidst the larger prayers and fastings for specific outcomes, it's essential to recognize the significance of the smaller victories. While the exact desires of the fast might not have materialized for me, these smaller occurrences serve as stepping stones toward the greater goal. Each answered prayer, every revelation, and every moment of divine intervention signifies progress in the spiritual journey. The path to our ultimate goal might be winding, but these smaller victories are like signposts affirming that we are on the right track.
Conclusion:
The end of the Daniel Fast is not just a conclusion; it's a transition. It marks the end of a period of heightened spiritual focus but opens the door to a life infused with the lessons learned during the fast. As we step forward, let us carry the awakened spirit, the assurance of divine protection, and the clarity gained through prayer into the unfolding chapters of the year. The Daniel Fast, with its unique blend of fasting and prayer, has become a testament to my commitment to seeking God's will, trusting in His timing, and finding joy in the journey.

Praying and Fasting:
Praying with people is also fasting with people.
Spiritual fasting than dieting.
Tumblr media
Matthew 6:16-18
When you fast, the Father in secret will reward you.
We've got some work to do.
Fasting is a Christian's voluntary abstinence from something good for a spiritual purpose.
Normal fast- just normal
Partial fast- some foods
Alternative fast- something other than food
Not to try fasting until you have spiritual purpose in mind.
1. Fasting to intensify your prayers.
2. Fasting to find clarity.
3. Fast because of your sin. Be hungry for change.
If there is something in me that is separating from you, would you come into my life so I can experience wholeness again.
4. Fast for God's movement
Be hungry on what only God can do.
Pray and fast for what God is doing.
5. Fast when facing persecution.
Fast for God's provision and protection for being the light in the dark.
6. Fast for victory in the midst of temptation
Fasting and feasting on the intimacy of God.
Allow yourself by being filled up by the Word.
Willing to Stand on what is God telling you.
7. Fast as a display of love to God
Luke 2:36-37
Taste and see that you are good.
🙏🏻May we get more of you, in Jesus name. Amen🙏🏻

Just finished a 5 day water ONLY 💦FAST with another mom who is being alienated from her daughter. She and I Both went into prayer and meditation 🙏🏽💜🌸for a great cause for ALL the Alienated Families who are not able to see their son/daughter/ children due to Parental Alienation 🌸🙏🏽💜💦Fasting demonstrates the depth of your desire when praying for something. It shows you that you are serious enough about your prayer request to sacrifice food. God honors deep desire and praying in faith.#waterfast #waterfasting #waterfastingforhealing #waterfastforhealth🧠 #fastingandprayer #parentalalienation #parentalalienationischildabuse #parentalalienationawareness #parentalalienationisacrime https://www.instagram.com/p/Cqfn5Gfrzht/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
