Invention versus convention; to take the escalator or the stairs? The escalator takes us up/down faster of course, though sometimes we may miss a scene or two. The stairs may seem like hard work but we can stop whenever we want; catch our breath and check out the view. It's more physically straining but surely consistent. We make good use of the legs we're blessed with too; and count our steps as we go. That's what they are for, that we won't forget to use them. Of course if it gets too tiring, it's alright to cheat once in a while too, after all, that's what inventions are for and escalators are blessings when the climb gets too hard.
