MOST of the time, this season’s turtleneck is used as a layering piece, unless of course you’ve got the whole Gucci Attic Chic/Geek chic/Retro thing going on and you’re into dressing like Mr. Lusia, my 5th grade principle. He quite simply WAS the 70’s. It was the 90’s, he only wore brown, and turtlenecks, and I made fun of him, and look who’s laughing now because I’d pay almost anything for one of his outfits at the moment. So go to your mom’s bed, pull out those moth-ball laden cardboard boxes (unless your mom is fancy and has probably upgraded to plastic by now) and grab all those turtlenecks reserved as of late for your best friend’s tacky Christmas sweater party. I’m over those parties, and this season’s turtleneck is no joke.
