Selftober Day 2: Fall Fashion
So, wanting to give some attention to my platonic f/os, I wrote about me and my DR1 buddies! So this time, the focus is…
…Kyo.ko Ki.rigiri and A.oi Asa.hina!
Please enjoy this lil shopping fic I whipped up!

“Bronwen, are you sure about this? We won’t be able to wear this to school, and this isn’t my usual style.”
“It’ll be totally fine!” Bronwen called out, switching into one of the dresses she’d picked out with a slight huff, “We can wear them out! Plus, you’re going to look perfect, I just know it. I know enough about dresses to know that this will knock everything you’ve worn before out of the water!”
“If you say so, then.”
Pushing the velvety curtains out of the way, Bronwen stepped into the common area of the dressing rooms- where Asahina was waiting, playing in her phone while waited for the other girls to come out. The second she saw Bronwen, however, the phone was off and she rushed up to the Canadian girl with a gasp. Her eyes seemed to light up looking over the dress Bronwen has picked out, already looking over all the little details.
“Are you sure this is an everyday dress?” Asahina asked, twirling her finger a bit as if asking Bronwen to spin around, “It seems too pretty for something you’d just wear around! I’d wear a dress like that to a party…”
Bronwen just laughed in response, twirling around so Asahina could see the back of the dress and so she could see herself in the mirror. The dress was a deep, rich ruby colour, a more passionate shade than the fresh reds of the falling leaves outside. The top fit to her body, with a conservative v-neck and long sleeves that lovingly hugged her arms up to the wrists. The skirt, however, was free-flowing; almost carefree, reaching down to her knees and moving with her, as if constantly being carefully draped for a picture. The front also had a silver zipper, which went down to her waist from the neckline, just for a little accent. In truth, Bronwen did actually feel quite confident in it. There weren’t really many dresses she could say that for, but this one was definitely one of them.
“This is the kind of stuff that I wear everyday, Aoi,” Bronwen remarked, glancing at the red heels she had on to see how it all looked, “But regardless, I like this one a lot. It has a very nice silhouette- I think that special somebody would like it too, you know?”
“Definitely, but you should be getting it because you like it!” Asahina giggled, before looking around a bit, “…Hey, where’s Kyoko? Shouldn’t she be done changing by now?”
“I’m right here.”
The two girls spun around to face Kyoko, who brushed a bit of her pale violet hair out of her face as she walked towards the group, looking a little shy- looking a little towards the side with a dusting on pink on her cheeks. But Bronwen’s eyes simply lit up, and she practically skipped towards her friend as she took her gloved hands into her own.
“Koko, you look amazing! I knew that dress would look amazing on you!” Bronwen beamed, pulling the young detective beside her so she could see herself in the mirror, “That shade of purple is perfect. It gives off a bit of a winter-y vibe instead of autumn, but honestly, I think it’s better this way. Purple is your colour for sure.”
Kyoko looked over the dress carefully, Bronwen getting a bit nervous as she waited for Kyoko’s opinion. The dress was a knee-length, deep purple velvet, with a pale grey belt, a shallow scoop neck and long, fitted sleeves. The air was tense as Bronwen and Asahina waited, watching Kyoko’s expression as her eyes scanned over the dress a few times more. After a few more tense moments, however, Kyoko closed her eyes and nodded slowly.
“…You know, I think I could get used to clothes like this,” She said, her friends sighing in relief in reply, “And if you two like it, then I see no reason not to get it.”
“Yeah! Bronwen did a great job finding you a dress!” Asahina smiled, pulling Bronwen and Kyoko into a tight hug, “It really was a good idea to go looking for fall clothes!”
Bronwen laughed a bit in reply, coughing softly in Asahina’s tight grip, “F-for sure, Hina.”
“Could you let go? We can’t really buy these if you’re hanging in to us,” Kyoko pointed out, a little annoyed by the predicament, “And we still need to go looking for a graduation dress- for the photos. That is on the sixth, after all, which is just days away.”
With a loud gasp, Asahina left go of the two, her eyes wide as she proceeded to shove them into them separate change rooms, “Oh my god, you’re absolutely right! We need to get to the other dress store stat!”
Bronwen couldn’t help but laugh again, shaking her head as she stared to swap back to the dress she wore into the store. Every fall was a little chaotic, looking for the latest dresses to spice up her wardrobe for after school and future dates, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. After all, it gave her time with two of her best friends in the world.
“C’mon guys, hurry hurry hurry!!! We’ve got no time to waste with those dresses!”
“You were fine with us taking our time seconds ago…”
“That was before I remembered we need to get ready for grad photos! Now change, stat- Bronwen! That means you too!”
“R-Right!”
Well, she could do without the rush.
