Lanvin RTW| Spring 2017 Normally when a new creative director takes over at an established house, she will have to discover “codes” and find the compatibility between them and her own vocabulary. In this case Bouchra Jarrar surely has her own vision  and it dictated a new era for the brand.

In her debut collection, she started with the elements that won her acclaim. It was all about  elegant menswear meet sophisticated lady dresses. This collection focus menswear tailoring mixed in with more feminine pieces, like chiffons trimmed in chantilly lace, a cropped moto jacket, menswear blazer, or a bolero trimmed in ostrich feathers and leather.

This is a new era for Lanvin, it is still not clear on how far she would integrate the work of Lanvin’s former creative director; from the first look it was clear that Lanvin changed their gear since the departure of Alber Elbaz.
