Today I needed to really tap into the right side of my brain. As I learned @fashion_feng_shui, the fluidity and asymmetry of a hemline incorporates water in my way of dressing bringing me the creative state of mind. And it did! Stripes, dots, black and white are far from my color palette, but somehow, combined with the dress style, it gives me a great feeling when wearing it. I feel modern and a bit edgy. It’s so important to stretch our boundaries and intentionally experiment outside our comfort zone. Here is a visual universe that is completely intentional. I have this skirt for a very long time and until now I couldn’t let it go. I love the print, the lightness of the fabric and the design of the skirt. And then, there is the reality of wearing it! The skirt hugs my body emphasizing my curves. I am not used to bring my body into the spotlight. Imagine wearing the same skirt with stilettos, a sheer silk blouse, smokey eyes and defined lips. I would be in a completely alien universe... It’s definitely a visual universe that need more exploration. Exploring it when I am about to start a new decade will be fun and challenging. I believe in dressing appropriately for my age but that doesn’t mean I can’t bring in small portions elements of so enticing universe to my style. Casual as casual can be ... FOR ME. This is who I am. When I dress I need to experience myself with all my senses. The clothing touching my body, the shoes, my perfume, my accessories. All work together to give that sense of well-being. We talk so much about our essence. But where it comes from? I believe in exploring all venues to arrive to the aha moment. When I did the Fashion Feng Shui course, my inherent colors falls into Fire but there is a lot of metal in who I am. I perhaps could say that I look like Fire but feel as a Metal. I am also an Autumn although I don’t have a true autumn palette. It has a lot of summer in it. Both metal and summers need refinement. Two very different perspectives in analyzing a person arriving to the same result. Cecilia is Cecilia if she feels a sense of refinement in how she dresses, even when in denim and a H&M top. Another day feeling like a weekend! Believe it or not my husband and I are on vacation, an AT HOME VACATION! So today is no makeup day... I have been binging on Hallmark Christmas movies🤪, and traveling the world by experiencing new things. First we went to Ecuador, and had a taste of an amazing chocolate from #toakchocolate. Later on we will be in Russia building a #daviciru puzzle that came directly from there. It’s hard though to get away from what I love to do, which is playing with color! So, here it is. The inspiration for the day came from the most used piece in my closet - my paisley scarf. It’s like a birthmark, we are inseparable. These two colors, together, fill me with energy.
