More Barn Three AU since y’all seemed to like it. Just random bits of info I wanna share

Lion is scared of chickens cause they look weird to him and one time when he was a kit one chased him around the farm until Barley intervened.

Holly collects random herbs and experiments with them basically. She’ll just give Lion or Jay a random plant and tell them to eat it and then tell her what it does. Yes she has gotten in trouble for this but it’s for cat science-

Ravenpaw has told them about the clans. When they were kits they’d play Clan Cats, pretending to be FarmClan! Holly was the leader and Lion and Jay were her warriors. (Their “warrior” names were Lionexplosion and Jayhorse)

“Why am I named Jayhorse?”

“Cause horses have strong legs and are really fast!”

“I’m picking the names next time-“

Holly asked Barely and Raven where her and her brothers came from and Barley panicked and told them that he and Raven found them in a stump near the farm. The three visited the stump and they still do. It’s their little hang out spot

Jay has a scar from when he fought the owl. It’s basically where his canon scar is

Cause it gets cold in the barn, they all sleep in what I like to call the “Kitty Pile”. Barley and Lion at the bottom, Holly and Ravenpaw laying across them, and Jay curled up on the top.

We need more wholesome warrior au’s- let these kitties rest.

They do have a daylight warrior kind of deal going on like Skyclan.

Farmclan is like Skyclan but on a farm.

Does the farm have twolegs on it? Yep! The clan are actually barn cats that do hunt mice for the humans. In turn, they get fed. They aren't loyal to humans (at least not everyone). But they're pretty much allowed to do work and whatever.

The farmdogs like to tease the cats about how they're one whisker away from being turned into housepets, but Wheatstar laughs it off.

Farmclan leaders have only 1 life because they're not actually following Starclan. The entire colony started because they were fighting over food at the barn and actually had a braincell moment and started to work together. The rest is history.

The cats come and go as they please. They try not to have rivals and just talk things out.

Farmclan would be the equivalent of Warriorclan, Bloodclan, and Skyclan had a baby, and it grew up to be just some guy.

Not too spectacular. Not too boring. Just.. average.

Synopsis: "The cats of YardClan, SnagClan, FarmClan and the Station have lived in an area long abandoned by humans for countless years, though not with ease. Challenges created by a hostile environment have driven war and animosity for ages, and cats are beginning to get fed up with the vicious cycle."

"Tanglepaw is a medic apprentice in the struggling YardClan, where a life of warfare becomes increasingly unsustainable to its population. It only takes one cat to challenge the system. Will it be them?"

Cornclaw, Warrior of FarmClan Cornclaw grew up afraid of everything, even with her brother Wheatfur keeping her safe. She has a hard time fighting because of it, but tries her best for her Clan. However, once you warm up to her, you’ll find her playful sense of humor.

Mistshadow, non-binary, farmclan’s introverted deputy and foxwish’s ex. Mistshadow’s biggest regret is the day they stayed behind while foxwish left the clans behind forever. Foxwish, female, an ex farmclan member. The farm was never foxwish’s home, no matter how hard she wished it was. Her love for Mistshadow was strong, but her call for adventure was stronger.

Mistshadow- An introverted and hardworking cat. Mistshadow is dedicated to their clan and always goes above and beyond their duty as deputy to help their clanmates and keep their clan strong, they deeply care for their clanmates and would readily die to save any of them, even if they don’t their introverted nature keeps them from having long conversations with anyone, besides Foxwish that is. Mistshadow is still torn about whether they made the right choice about whether they should choose their clanmates of Foxwish and deep down they believe that the Clan would survive without them much better than Foxwish would without Mistshadow - although they will never admit this fully to themselves. Mistshadow thinks about Foxwish everyday, 15/10

Foxwish - An adventurous and extroverted she-cat. No matter how hard Foxwish tried to deny it, her paws always itched for something beyond FarmClan, Mistshadow helped repress that urge for a while but eventually the call of adventure became too strong for Foxwish and she felt that she had no other choice but to leave. Foxwish has always made friends easily, she can be very charming and charismatic and will often form connections wherever she goes. She knows this life of adventure is what she was born to do but no matter how many cats she meets, she will never forget Mistshadow, and even though Foxwish hates dwelling on things that could have been she can’t help but wonder how much more spectacular her adventure could have been if Mistshadow joined her, 15/10

Beetlecry, warrior of Shadedclan 

Beetlecry has a calm disposition, he’s a rather good example of a gentle giant, being one of the biggest cats in the clans. Many are afraid to spar with him, and more are afraid to meet him in battle. Despite this, he’s known for playing with the kits when they’re bored, and for giving apprentices extra help when necessary. 

This tom was born large, he was the only kit born to his parents, and was quickly pushed into training a moon early, despite this being against the code. Because of this, he was often ridiculed by the more aggressive cats he’d grown up with, being younger than the other apprentices and becoming a warrior near the same time led to him retreating inwards, he doesn’t have many friends but can often be seen hunting alone along the Farmclan border.

here’s the map for the territories that Wasted Tango takes place in! there’s three Clans and one major group (being the Station). YardClan and SnagClan are always beefing while FarmClan is kind of isolationist

YardClan and SnagClan hate each other so much, in fact, that FarmClan decided to take the unused extra territory to their east and make a peaceful sanctuary type of place around the lake (which is really more like a pond) where cats can come and go without violence. instead of having gatherings, the Clans host all holidays together in the Peacelands. their four major holidays are at the beginning of every season (so they occur roughly every 90 days).

also- the wheat field is YardClan territory and the tall grass field is SnagClan territory

also also- this comic takes place in the post-apocalyptic remains of a long-abandoned roadside farmland. this will be elaborated more on when i make an official starting post for the comic, but the gist is that these lands were nearby the target of heavy atomic bombing many many years ago. due to the farmlands being both pretty far off from ground zero and the disaster taking place so long ago, the long-forgotten pets left behind by evacuation have grown into the Clans known today. the area is still uninhabited by humans due to the remaining risk of radioactive sources scattered throughout the area.

FarmClan Rank Guide

FarmClan has the typical Leader, Deputy and Medicine cat; Leaders are the figureheads of the Clan, Deputies are the second-in-command, and Medicine Cats are the spiritual and physical healers. 

However, their Warrior rank is split into two: Swimmers and Runners.

Due to the fact that their territory stretches over 2 totally different territories (WindClan and RiverClan), the cats have split based off of what they prefer. Some cats preferred swimming and fishing for prey, while others preferred landhunting. These two ranks tend to be quite seperate from one-another, even if they do live within the same Camp. There even seems to be a bit of animosity between them.

The parents of a kit are usually both from the same rank, and expect their kit to follow in their pawsteps; hence, when a kit decides to join the other rank, large chasms are often dug between families who are split between the rank. Parents, siblings and kittenhood friends often become distant due to this percieved ‘betrayal.’ 

Apprentices are expected to know exactly which rank they want to be when they are having their ceremony. It’s frowned upon, but not uncommon, to switch ranks midapprenticeship.
