Phillip is such an oddball of a New God. It’s even acknowledged in Far Cry The Reverend’s Rule that the other New Gods (like the Voice) view him as the black sheep amongst them. They often wonder why he would rather be human, and find him weird for even investing in the “meatbags” lives (they (especially the Voice) usually just use humans as a punching bag, meanwhile Phillip doesn’t like exerting his power like that unless he’s forced to, usually under threat of death by the Orchestrator).
Anyway, here are some of his lines:
[TW: Swearing]
To Joseph
"Do you know what this means, Joseph? ... Well you should, you caused it."
"...I think John's trying to drown our Little Boa again."
"Yes, Joseph? ... No? If I had anything more to tell you Joseph, do you think I wouldn't inform you about it? ... Good, now be quiet, and just enjoy the silence while we still can."
"Joseph, we've been over this, the current Faith is absolute. Stop looking out for anymore "potentials". That's Jacob's job."
"I feel... nothing out of the ordinary. Maybe you need a nap, have you ever considered that, Joseph?"
"No. ... No! Whatever it is you want to do, it goes against my "will" and that's final."
(About Joseph) "After all these years, he still continues to misinterpret my visions and words. Truly, I have made a severe misjudgement of character."
"Well, you see Joseph, the thing is, and-and now don't take this personally or anything but... like, I kind of hate you. ... Yeah. I’m not apologising for your redundancy."
To the Curse
"Pardon my cluelessness, but who are you again? ... Oh right, my bad, I just couldn't recognise you from the amount of rot on that poor deer's skull."
"...Truly. You are the voice of your eon."
"Now how was I supposed to know that? ... I can observe and talk to weird hipsters, I can't control the damn weather. That was Zeus' job and he's dead. ... Yeah, the mob got him. ... He'd probably still be here if he hadn't forced himself on everyone's wives and actually bothered being a husband to Hera. Dumb bastard."
"Well forgive me for being a little late. You have no idea how many hours it takes until Joseph says anything remotely useful in his fucking early morning sermons!"
(About Silva and the Curse “bonding”) “You're getting along? No? Well, I consider that progress. I'll leave you two to it then. Have fun!"
About The Voice
"Of course, I will not be late to another Gathering again, I promise. I shall also take on all responsibility of our little universe of traumatised heathens while you are gone. Have fun on your exploration!" (whispers underneath) "...Dick."
"His sadism knows no bounds."
"What did I do?! ... Fucking WHAT?! That's WHY you dislike me?! ... You are one petty bitch."
Silva Omar
"Oh my ME! She's grown up so much! I think I'm going to cry."
"You remember my name? You remembered my name!" *Squeals*
"Shh, shh, shh, it's okay. I'm here, Phillip's right here. ... That's right, your best and old friend is going to take good care of you. ... No one will hurt you while you have me. I promise."
"Oh? The Curse is acting up again? Well, you did insult their Bliss Cheese. ... I know it's weird and chunky but it's good for your health."

It all started with like at least 4.
But now that number has grown.
For each of my five Far Cry 5 AUs I have:
1. Far Cry The Silver Chronicles - Silva Omar, Kamski Neon, Persephone Omar, Oscar Lapis/The Harbinger, Denise, some Enforcer officials, Father Adam Omar, Ezekiel, Mercy Seed and Paul Yellowjack. Established characters from Far Cry 5/other mediums that aren't mine but whose characterisation/design/species I've basically adapted into something else include Nashira (canonically Nashira Sargas from Samantha Shannon's The Bone Season series), Adaro (canonically King Adaro from Tiana Warner's Mermaids of Eriana Kwai), Fýredel (canonically Fýredel from Samantha Shannon's Priory of the Orange Tree), Gaius (canonically John Gaius from Tamsyn Muir's The Locked Tomb series), Zhan Tiri (canonically Zhan Tiri from Chris Sonnenburg and Shane Prigmore's Rapunzel Tangled Adventure), and the Masquerade (canonically the Imperial Republic of Falcrest from Seth Dickinson's The Masquerade series). Mentioned original characters (who don't appear physically or only in flashbacks) include Irene Neon, Obadiah Teal, Al, Elsa Omar, the Tarot Card Holder and the Blood Hounds.
2. Far Cry The Judge's Duty - Judge Silva, Kamski Neon, Gemini Teal, Isiah Popov, Gavin Turquoise, The Crown, Father Adam Omar, Oscar Lapis, some Enforcer officials, Mercy Seed (briefly), the Tarot Card Holder, and Paul Yellowjack. Adapted characters from Far Cry 5/other mediums include Nashira and Gaius. Mentioned original characters/adapted characters include the Apostles of Zachariah (Adaro, Fýredel, Zhan Tiri and the Masquerade), Irene Neon, Obadiah Teal, Persephone Omar, Elsa Omar, Schrödinger Turquoise and Al.
3. Far Cry The Harbinger's Salvation - The Harbinger/Silva, Elsa Omar, Ezekiel, Kamski Neon, Persephone Omar, Nadi Sinclair, Alexander Khaos, Isiah Popov, Gemini Teal, Gavin Turquoise, Schrödinger Turquoise, Al, Oscar Lapis and Paul Yellowjack. Adapted characters include the Apostles of Zachariah (Nashira, Adaro, Fýredel, Gaius and Zhan Tiri). Mentioned original/adapted characters include Irene Neon, Father Adam Omar, Obadiah Teal, the Tarot Card Holder, Mercy Seed and the Masquerade.
4. Far Cry El Industrial's Reign - Silva (adapted as age 37), Nadi Sinclair, Alexander Khaos, Gavin Turquoise, Schrödinger Turquoise, Isiah Popov, Gemini Teal, Ezekiel, Paul Yellowjack, Persephone Omar, Mercy Seed, Father Adam Omar, Oscar Lapis and Kamski Neon. Adapted characters from Far Cry 5/other mediums include Azriel (canonically Baby Girl Seed from Dan Hay's Far Cry 5 and Nikki Fay's Joseph: Collapse). Mentioned original/adapted characters include Irene Neon, Elsa Omar, Nashira Yellowjack, Adaro Yellowjack, Fýredel Yellowjack, John Gaius, Zhan Tiri, Al, Klaus Crawford, Obadiah Teal and the Tarot Card Holder.
5. Far Cry The Reverend's Rule - Sylvester Yellowjack/Reverend Silva (back to age 26 until the New Dawn period), Nadi Sinclair, Alexander Khaos, Gavin Turquoise, Schrödinger Turquoise, Kamski Neon, Adam Omar, Oscar Lapis, the Tarot Card Holder, Azriel Yellowjack (not Joseph's daughter), Persephone Omar, Mercy Seed, Dennis the Guard, Phillip and Paul Yellowjack. Adapted characters include Nashira Yellowjack, Adaro Yellowjack, Fýredel Yellowjack, John Gaius, Zhan Tiri and Holly Pepper (adapted and canonically from Urban Waite's Far Cry Absolution). Mentioned characters include Irene Neon, Elsa Omar, Obadiah Teal and Al.
So, in total, I have around 21 original characters (including mentioned original characters) and 7 characters I've adapted to fit the context of my stories or had little characterisation I could develop in this Far Cry 5 canon.
How many OCs do you guys have for FC5? And do they all exist in the same story or have stories of their own?
I have seven and all appear in my main fic
Feel free to ask about them if you want

The order of which the Heralds are "taken down" in the AUs
AKA more or less how things occur in the AUs especially with the canon divergences:
Far Cry The Silver Chronicles (Deputy!Silva, kind of main Far Cry 5 timeline) - Silva takes down (but captures and spares in the moment) John first, though she struggles with the morals keeping him alive and essentially lying (by omission) to her allies, trying to decide whether a) she should spare him and risk the wrath of the community she just gained after being alone for so long, as well as keeping a major player of Eden's Gate alive who (in her current opinion) doesn't really deserve to live, but could use as leverage against Joseph, or b) justifiably kill him for all he's done, but also incur Joseph's wrath/accidently help forward his (from her current speculation, since she sees him as a proxy to Adam Omar, a more vile prophet) plans to continue the Reaping, but gets to confirm to the residents of Holland Valley and the GFH that John is gone, but also live with the guilt and regret and shame of killing an unarmed and non-threatening opponent, as well as probably straining her relationships with Kamski (because he started liking John, if only a little bit) and Faith (because John's literally her brother who she cares about, despite how unreciprocated that care is)). Then comes Jacob, who she intends on sparing, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of bending her mind to his will entirely, showing she is stronger than that, and will not play into Joseph's hands. She attempts to carry his wounded ass back to her bunker where John should be (but Kamski took the younger brother to help him out on a little side quest), but they are both intercepted and separated by Oscar Lapis and his Enforcers, who return Jacob to Joseph as a show of good faith. Silva never really fights Faith, though the adopted sister is attacking her in the Bliss, but its more of Silva debating with Faith while avoiding Bliss attacks. And then later Silva goes rescue Faith from Omar's Guard, as well as get out of a about-to-be-bombed Henbane region. Her "final confrontation" with Joseph is really just her rescuing him from Adam Omar.
Far Cry The Judges Duty (Judge!Silva, Silva is the Judge in 2018 during Far Cry 5) - Silva "takes down" Faith first, then they go get John from Paul and the Apostles, Jacob from Malvolio and the Deserters and lastly Joseph from Adam Omar.
Far Cry The Harbinger's Salvation (Alive!Elsa and Harbinger!Silva, the former is the morally-grey protagonist while the latter is a brainwashed victim in an antagonistic role) - Elsa manages to take down the Father and his Heralds rather quickly during a "peace meeting" by blackmailing them to help her kill Paul and the Apostles and save her sister who is currently a nigh-unstoppable killing machine conditioned to slaughter everyone in the county.
Far Cry El Industrial's Reign (Industrial!Silva and AliveBabyGirlSeed!Azriel, Silva is older than most iterations (being 37) and the leader of the surviving Tumultites and the adoptive mother of Azriel (aka Joseph's alive daughter, who is 20)) - Silva and Azriel capture John first, then have trouble with Jacob and Faith, before Alexander saves Jacob from Enforcers and Silva finally convinces Faith to come with her before Oscar and his Enforcers come, leading many people out of Faith's Gate but leaving the Angels behind to distract (and overwhelm) the Enforcers. Joseph and Adam's words towards Azriel do not help her mental state and she captures both Joseph and Silva, and the ending of this encounter can either go a nice bittersweet or really sad bittersweet.
Far Cry The Reverend's Rule (Reverend!Silva, Silva is combined with the Curse and becomes Phillip's new prophet) - Sylvester (soon-to-become Silva) recruit Faith with the help of the Curse and Phillip, then manage to either recruit John or Jacob, before attempting to get the other brother who solidifies his loyalty to Joseph, who loses most of his flock to Silva, John/Jacob and Faith's efforts thanks to Omar's Guard' arrival and Phillip's guidance.
Far Cry The Apostles' Rise (Apostle!Silva, Silva joins the Apostles of Zachariah) - Recruits a spying Faith first before attempting (but failing) to kill the other three. All of their survivals depends on the oneshot story.
Far Cry The Scavenger's Promise (Scavenger!Silva and Immune-To-Bliss!Azriel, Silva is 35 and works with any contract/odd job she can get from Gavin, and is hardened by the death of a 9-year-old (different from the canonically 5-year-old) Persephone, but ends up accidently adopting Azriel, who is 11-years-old and not related to Joseph) - Silva saves Faith from some Enforcers who framed (and about to execute) the sister, and goes to help Jacob and John out (their survival is up for debate), but are unable to get to Joseph in time as he is callously killed by Adam Omar while attempting to protect Azriel.
Far Cry The Inquisitor's Chime (Inquisitor!Silva, Silva is apart of the Yellowjack Mafia family because Omar's Guard murdered Persephone and Irene (the latter canonically died in earlier timelines, and no where near Persephone's death) instead of Paul and the Apostles) - Silva blackmails them into helping the Mafia and the Reaping does not happen.
Far Cry An Assassin's Pledge (Assassin/Hitwomen!Silva, 28-years-old and works for the Yellowjack Mafia) - Doesn't really take down the Seeds and is more hired by them.

God forbid you're Joseph Seed in the Far Cry The Reverend's Rule AU
Feel kind of bad for Joseph in this AU. Not only does he have to deal with an apocalypse and ensure his family and congregation's safety, but his God (Phillip) is actively working against him, working with the Curse (a descendant of the Snake that helped Eve burn down the original Garden of Eden), who is currently bonded to the very woman (Silva) he and his family are harassing and pushing the limits of, and is also capable of turning said woman into an unnatural beast that is practically immortal but also on the brink of death if it doesn't consume, which would probably be an advantage if it weren't for the fact Bliss is now its newest source of sustainability. Plus Phillip and the Curse are also tutoring Silva on how to be a prophet (to replace Joseph), and she's actually pretty competent at it, and is able to bring in some of his own flock to her side, even some Resistance members.
But on the other hand, he kind of deserves it, considering everything he's done (start a Holy War for one, an action that would lead to countless deaths, among other things in past and present).

Far Cry The Reverend's Rule AU Post #2
Phillip is continuously frustrated with Joseph.
He had initially chosen Joseph as a prophet because, in his mind, anyone had to be automatically better than Adam Omar.
And while horrified by the infanticide of Joseph's daughter, Phillip gave the benefit of the doubt (it did, after all, prove Joseph was devoted and willing to do something, unlike Adam's inaction and lack of care), and it was a fault on his part (Phillip was pretty vague on what he meant by "sacrifice", and this was an improvement from Adam Omar creating pairs of children just to murder them later for various unjustified reasons that Phillip had no influence over), so he took what he could get.
Almost two decades later, Phillip has witnessed Joseph blindly do as he says, following every exact instruction word for word, going to the extreme whenever he wasn't specific enough, only going by Phillip's exact plan without question, and watching as Joseph inspired others to do things that Phillip was appalled were even being connected to his former name/title (but he can't backtrack his words... he's already disrespected and seen as weak by the other divine).
By this point Phillip had stopped trying to reason Joseph's actions. While initially finding it noble that Joseph took an active role in the fulfilment of the prophecy, contrasting Adam Omar's largely inactive role and delusional aspirations, Phillip no longer sees this as the case and finds Joseph's activity to be just as bad as Adam's inactivity, as both take it to the terrible extreme.
And while he does want to find someone else to replace Joseph's position as a prophet and rid of his extremism, Phillip hasn't found a capable replacement. So he's stuck. And feels trapped, really.
And then the prophecy comes around, and the Hell that follows Whitehorse is none other than a familiar face to Phillip.
What a relief it must have been for Phillip to reunite with his best friend who though he was nothing more than an imaginary friend rather than an all-powerful divine being who was credited for others' achievements.
What an opportunity to find that Sylvester is a far more capable and trustworthy suitor to the position of a divine's prophet than either Joseph or Adam.
#far cry 5#far cry 5 au#far cry the reverend's rule au#joseph seed#original characters#phillip#silva omar#the AU can be summarised as phillip continuously upset by joseph doing exactly as he instructs but cranked up to 11

A contrast between Phillip and the Voice is their relationships with Joseph and Silva.
Phillip is the God watching over the Far Cry universe until the events of the Far Cry The Reverend's Rule AU storyline happens. After his... unfortunate and fatal mishap (Phillip's hubris bit him in the ass), the canonical Voice takes over his position as an observer of the Far Cry universe, and throughout the rest of the AUs as well.
The Voice takes a uniquely specific vendetta against Silva after she proves to be a problem, and this hatred is also directed towards Joseph as well, as a means of exerting control over someone who can't fight back against it.
Phillip though doesn't care about Joseph, and only uses him as a means to speak to Silva again, as he was her imaginary friend when she was a child, and the only one who didn't feed his imposter syndrome. He's far kinder than the Voice though, but dangerously ambitious and accidently insensitive to a fault.
Phillip just wants to get back to his only friend (who doesn't worship him nor can he even control) while the Voice likes to toy with everyone and takes pleasure in exerting its divine power over everyone else.
Phillip doesn't actually show visions of the future, but more visions he's predicted are likely to happen through observation. Meanwhile the Voice just takes any vision it can get and sometimes makes some up just to achieve a certain reaction from the likes of Joseph.
The reason both got Joseph to start a cult besides to prepare for the Collapse? Phillip for friendship (with Silva) and the future glory of the New Faith (Jospeh is unfortunately part of the Old Faith), meanwhile the Voice can guarantee he's just in it for the pleasure and power.

A Note On My WIP snippets
Hey guys, quick note, I will mostly be posting WIP of my non-canon(ish) stories. The main canon storylines are still in a production phase, just as my other separate non-Far Cry projects that I am also tending to. However, these non-canon stories will give a general piece of what is in store for the main stories.
Some things may not stay the same in two different stories of the same AU, but I will do my best to keep it as consistent as possible.
If you've got any questions, be free to ask them. I will also be reblogging some ask memes for you to find a way to get more information on certain characters.
WIP snippets will usually be around 6 to 9 paragraphs, possibly more.
I do hope you enjoy.

Far Cry The Reverend’s Rule AU Post #1
Phillip with Sylvester: “Sweet baby, so sweet.”
Phillip with Adam: “EVIL!”
Phillip with Joseph: “Ya f***ing donkey!”
[For context, Phillip is the previous voice of god before the canonical Voice took over. A young Sylvester named him Phillip because she didn’t realise she was talking to an actual god and thought he was just an imaginary friend. Phillip liked it even more due to the fact Silva isn’t part of any of his plans so he can’t subconsciously control her into worshipping him]

Silva Omar - My Far Cry 5 “Junior Deputy” OC
Alright, I’m gonna say it here and now. I wouldn’t necessarily classify Silva Omar as the Junior Deputy/Rook, mostly because she has a vastly different story from the entirety of Far Cry 5. She just takes Rook’s place in this universe. Rook is a separate character that does appear from time to time in these collections of stories within my little universe called Far Cry The Silver Chronicles.
Now, due to the ever-changing nature of these stories, I’ve categorised four versions of Silva Omar:
- Canon!Silva or Deputy!Silva (Silva as the junior deputy within the main Far Cry The Silver Chronicles stories). This Silva tackles the events of Far Cry 5 and Far Cry New Dawn, but mostly stays within the events of the former rather than the latter and can follow the events of canon or not. Usually, the main antagonist that Silva faces in this storyline of the events of Far Cry 5 is (minorly or temporarily) Joseph Seed and his family as well as (to some extent) Silva’s past caretaker, Paul Yellowjack, while in Far Cry New Dawn’s events have Paul Yellowjack as the major antagonist, with Mickey and Lou as his lackeys, and Ethan Seed being corrupted by Paul’s influence. Silva’s goal is usually to bring a truce between Eden’s Gate and the Resistance as well as get rid of Paul.
- Judge!Silva (Silva as the Judge, not in Far Cry New Dawn, but in the events of Far Cry 5 in a storyline called Far Cry The Judge’s Duty). Silva is the Judge during the events of Far Cry 5 and is a faithful servant to God. Her goal is to calm down Eden’s Gate from going to the extreme because God wants them to take a chill pill. The main antagonist is (temporarily) Joseph and his siblings, with Oscar Lapis (whether as a corrupt deputy or Paul’s Harbinger) being the major threat.
- Harbinger!Silva (Silva as an armoured and enslaved zealot of carnage, courtesy of Paul Yellowjack, in a storyline called Far Cry The Harbinger’s Repentance). During some part of her origin story, Paul Yellowjack overpowered Silva in their fight, and transformed her into the bloodthirsty killing machine known as the Harbinger. She is forced to go around killing both Eden’s Gate and Resistance members alike under Paul’s thumb, with HER being the (involuntary) threat, and the Seeds + the Resistance being the main protagonists. Paul however still holds main antagonist rights. The goal is to get Silva out of the armour and save her from Paul.
- Industrial!Silva (Silva as a crime lord within a storyline called Far Cry El Industrial’s Reign, which takes some inspiration from Arcane League of Legends). A lot of changes happen in Silva’s past, and now she’s one of the most feared crime lords in the Underworld. However, all she wants is a place for her people to live in a place she calls “Tumult”, a city that does not judge people for being sinful or “wrong” (as classified by society). She finds an opportunity for land in Hope County, and under the guise of El Industrial persona, she attends the arrest of Joseph Seed (bounty hunter licence or something). That of course does not go well. In this, Silva is a morally “grey protagonist/antagonist”, with the Seeds as well, while Father Omar (Silva’s biological father who’s a prophet but also very delusional) is the main antagonist to both parties. Silva’s goal is to essentially build her Tumult. - And lastly, Reverend!Silva (Silva as a prophet of God (who she calls Phillip) and very much the most powerful person in Hope County due to her advanced technological skill being akin to magic in a storyline referred to as Far Cry The Reverend’s Rule). Takes some aspects of FC: EIR but Silva ends up as a prophet instead (but still wants to build Tumult to survive the Collapse). Father Omar is often main antagonist with Oscar Lapis being (what tv tropes calls) his “Dragon”, though Joseph often takes an antagonistic role as well. Stories take place during Far Cry 5 but often Far Cry New Dawn. BONUS NOTE: Reverend!Silva is Cursed (with the modern equivalent relating to biochemistry) to become some kind of mud/goop/rot creature on occasions unless she takes her special medication.
Now in all five of these, Faith Seed is Silva’s love interest.

[NOTE: Height and Weight are different in other storylines]

Nationality: Spanish.
Religion: Similar to Eden’s Gate, just more close-minded, with classism and xenophobia being prominent idealisations, which Silva herself no longer practices.
Occupation: Junior Deputy (in FC:TSC), the Judge (in FC:ND canon and FC:TJD), the Harbinger (unwillingly in FC:THR), an Industrialist and Crime Lord (in FC:EIR) and a Reverend, Prophet and Empress in FCTRR.

Children: Persephone Neon-Omar (biological first daughter, age 8 in 2018, 25 in 2035), Mercy Seed (biological second daughter, age 17 in 2035), Baby Girl Seed Aria Rivers Azriel Omar (adopted daughter, age 9 in 2007, 20 in 2018 and 37 in 2035. Alternatively, age 9 in 2018, 20 in 2029 and 26 in 2035).
Sins (according to the Seeds): Deputy!Silva has Wrath, Pride and Envy in FC:TSC. Judge!Silva has Wrath, Pride and Gluttony in FC:TJD. Harbinger!Silva has Wrath, Greed and Gluttony in FC:THR. According to John and Joseph, Industrial!Silva has Pride, Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Gluttony and Envy in FC:EIR (maybe on the brink of Lust as well once John learns Industrial!Silva has a massive sexual libido that she manages to have control over). Probably all seven sins again for Reverend!Silva in FC:TRR.
Virtues (according to the Seeds, Jerome and the Resistance): Deputy!Silva has Diligence, Humility, Charity, Chastity, Temperance and Patience in FC:TSC. Judge!Silva has Humility, Charity, Chastity, Diligence, Patience and Gratitude in FC:TJD. Harbinger!Silva has Chastity and Diligence in FC:THR. Industrial!Silva has Patience, Chastity and Diligence in FC:EIR. And Reverend!Silva has Patience, Chasity, Diligence, Temperance, Charity, sometimes Humility and Gratitude.
Tattoos: “WRATH” or “PRIDE” on her chest (FC:TSC (as well as FCTJD) and FC:EIR respectively). Harbinger!Silva and Reverend!Silva do not have any tattoos.
Piercings: None.
Scars: All Silva’s have scarring. List below:
- Deputy!Silva’s hand are chemically burned and scarred (quite sensitive to touch), cuts on her face during duels with Paul and the Apostles, various slashes, burns, cuts, stabs and bullet wound scars from her tour in Afghanistan, the Apostles and Eden’s Gate alike.
- Judge!Silva has chemically burned and scarred hands, multiple cuts, slashes, burns and bullet wounds from her tour in Afghanistan, the Apostles and Eden’s Gate alike. Except this time, the left side of her face has burn scars, left eye included, and has a prosthetic piece on a “lane” of her scalp where a piece of her skull/brain was broken off. Slash scar across her throat as well.
- Harbinger!Silva has all the scarring above, except the prosthetic for the missing piece of skull/brain (her head is still intact physically). Due to the nature of her forced role, she is constantly in pain and breaking bones.
- Industrial!Silva has some slash scarring around her left eye area, however the left eye had been punctured, infected and consequently became deformed, but she kept it anyway. Still has the same scarring as Regular!Silva.
- Reverend!Silva has scarring as the Deputy!Silva, however, the Curse deforms and mutates the eye Industrial!Silva has.
I will make a separate post for the biographies of these different versions of Silva Omar.
