⸻
ISO? Belichtungszeit? Korrekturwerte? Klingt nach Raketenwissenschaft.
Aber ich hatte eine Kamera. Und eine Leidenschaft. Also habe ich ausprobiert, gelernt, verworfen, verbessert. Learning by doing – meine Lebensphilosophie.

⸻
Ohne zu wissen, was mich erwartet.
Also: Folge mir, begleite mich, erzähl mir deine Gedanken.

Motorex Officially Partners With Fantic Motor

Another leading motorcycle manufacturer has chosen MOTOREX to be its official lubricant partner. From January 1st, 2023, all Fantic Motor production and official racing motorcycles will be first filled with MOTOREX products. Fantic Motor now relies exclusively on engine and transmission oils from Langenthal for its complete model range and all racing activities. In addition, the iconic Italian brand will recommend the high-quality products from the extensive MOTOREX MOTO LINE product range to its customers, for all maintenance and care usage. The new partnership benefits from the extremely diverse range of lubricants offered by the Swiss specialists. With production two-stroke and four-stroke bikes, road motorcycles, motocross, and rally bikes, as well as racing teams in motocross, enduro, and Moto2 world championships, Fantic and its official race teams will place a wide variety of demands on the oils. EDI FISCHER, CHAIRMAN OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD OF MOTOREX "Based on a strong tradition, Fantic is one of the fastest growing brands today and has always been characterised by a spirit of innovation and passion - just like MOTOREX. Together we want to write a success story and are very excited about this new partnership." RONALD KABELLA, DIRECTOR POWERSPORTS OF MOTOREX "Fantic is another interesting partner joining the large MOTOREX family. With its roots in enduro sport, trials and motocross, the brand is an excellent fit for MOTOREX, as are its ambitious plans to expand the product range. We are looking forward to the cooperation and to contributing our experience and know-how gained from more than 100 years of MOTOREX history." Fantic, now based in Santa Maria di Sala in the Veneto region of northern Italy, was founded in 1968 and quickly enjoyed great sales success with small, smartly designed machines. Their scrambler look inspired many customers to go off-road and Fantic soon introduced its first enduro motorcycle. In 1974, the first "real" racing bike was produced – the 125cc Fantic CR. The bikes, which at that time still came from Lombardy, proved their abilities in countless enduro competitions. Then, in the mid-1980s, Fantic's great era in trials sport began. The brand won three world championship titles as well as the legendary Scottish Six Days Trial seven times and rose to become the world market leader in trials motorcycles. Today, the manufacturer is represented in the MX2 motocross class with the Fantic Factory Team Maddii. The Fantic Factory Team E50 Racing competes in the Enduro World Championship in the E1 and E3 classes, among others. The brand was already represented together with MOTOREX in the Dakar Moto Rally, which has just ended. Among others, Dakar veteran Franco Picco, at 66 the oldest participant in the 2023 edition, successfully crossed the Arabian desert on a rally machine based on the Fantic XEF 450 Factory. In road racing, Fantic will start with a team in the Moto2 World Championship in 2023. KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER FROM MOTORSPORT: MOTOREX WITH A SUCCESSFUL MOTORSPORT HISTORY AND MORE THAN 140 WM TITLES TO DATE MOTOREX is one of the most successful brands in international motorsport. Together with its partners, the company has won more than 140 world championship titles in various categories - from motocross, supercross, enduro and rally raid to road racing disciplines such as MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 as well as the Superbike World Championship (WSBK) and the IDM. Regardless of the category, the experts at MOTOREX develop innovative high-performance lubricants for top performance and maximum reliability in their in-house laboratory in Langenthal. Traditionally, the transfer of knowledge from motorsport directly benefits MOTOREX's products. More about MOTOREX MOTO LINE.

Bol bol konuşuruz üzerine... Keyifli vakit geçirmek için bire bir.. Sanırım açılışı küçük bir Yunanistan turuyla yapacağım. "Bununla gidilir mi?" diye soranlar olacak elbette. Kendinize şunu sorun; "Ben bu yolculuğu güvenle bitirebilir miyim?". Çünkü yeterli tecrübe, donanım ve kondüsyona sahipsen, kaykayla bile yurtdışına gidersin... 🙋🏻♂️🍀 #fanticcaballero #fanticmotor #korlas #motorcycle #motosiklet https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm1lyhtqXaX/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

About Me – Baris: Father, Photographer, Motorcycle Traveler, Dreamer
Sometimes I wonder how I ended up here. Here—somewhere between adventure and responsibility, between dreams and obligations, between the safety of routine and the call of the open road.
I’m Baris, 52 years old, father of two wonderful daughters, photographer, motorcycle traveler, and someone who often asks himself a little too late: “What the hell am I doing?”
⸻
A Life Between Two Worlds
I was born in 1972 in Berlin, the son of Turkish immigrants. That meant growing up between two cultures, two languages, and two different perspectives on life. At home, there was tea and baklava; outside, it was döner and french fries. I learned early on how to navigate between traditions, bridging the gaps between people.
But as I got older, I felt a growing urge to see more of the world. I’ve seen quite a bit—but not nearly enough.
⸻
A Job Is Not a Calling
Like many, I followed the “responsible” path: working, paying bills, planning for the future. I’ve had various jobs—communication trainer, office work—but in the end, they were just that: jobs. They paid the bills, but they never fulfilled me.
And then came photography.
⸻
Learning by Doing – Becoming a Photographer Without a Clue
I never studied photography. No professor ever taught me how to set up lighting or which aperture to use. To be honest? When I started, I had no idea what an aperture even was.
ISO? Shutter speed? Exposure compensation? Sounded like rocket science.
But I had a camera. And a passion. So I started experimenting, failing, improving, learning. Learning by doing—that’s my philosophy. Today, I don’t just understand cameras; I understand the stories behind the people I photograph. Because great photography isn’t just about technique—it’s about emotion, connection, and the moments in between.
⸻
Motorcycles: A Passion Without Mechanical Skills
My other great love? Motorcycles.
With one small catch: I have no idea how they work. If the engine runs, I’m happy. If it doesn’t, well… I need help.
I started out on a way-too-heavy Triumph Trophy 900, a bike about as suitable for beginners as a Formula 1 car for driving school. Then came a series of BMWs, followed by a detour into scooters—before finally returning to a real motorcycle: First a Fantic Caballero 700 and now a Fantic Caballero 500 Rally.

(My Fantic Caballero 700, with the beautiful Yamaha CP2 engine. Sold!)

(My Fantic Caballero 500 Rally MY 2024)
Why motorcycles? Because they mean freedom. They force you to be present. You don’t just see the road—you feel it.
And because motorcycles connect people. Everywhere in the world, there are riders, mechanics, roadside cafés filled with stories. Motorcycles are bridges between cultures.
⸻
Family: Loud, Big, and Loving
I’m not just a father—I’m also a son, a brother, and an uncle. I’ve always been surrounded by a big family—four brothers, two sisters, countless nieces and nephews.
My parents, who passed away in 2018 (my mother) and 2023 (my father), taught me that family isn’t just about blood. Family is the people who stay with you—no matter where the road takes you.
Maybe that’s why I love talking to strangers on my travels. Because I know: Everyone has a story. And sometimes, a stranger becomes a friend.
⸻
Bridging Roads – A Name with Meaning
It took me a long time to find the right name for my journey. Bridging Roads.
Why? Because roads aren’t just asphalt—they’re connections. They take us to new experiences, new people, new perspectives.
Travel should unite, not divide. It should spark curiosity, not fear. Anyone who travels learns that the world isn’t black and white—it’s full of colors, full of stories, full of possibilities.
And that’s exactly what I want to capture with my camera and my motorcycle.
⸻
A Little Crazy—But Just Right
I know my plan sounds crazy. Quitting a secure job at 52? Embarking on a long motorcycle journey with zero mechanical knowledge? Trusting the unknown?
But honestly—isn’t it crazier to spend your whole life dreaming and never actually start?
So I’m packing my camera, loading my bike, and setting off. I have no idea what’s waiting for me. But I do know one thing: Every journey is a story worth telling.
And who knows—maybe my story will inspire you to find your own road.
So: Follow me, join the adventure, share your thoughts. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll cross paths out there—on one of the many roads that connect us all. 🚀🏍

2022'yi motorsuz kapatamazdım.. Şehir içinde keyifli, yakıt konusunda hiç üzmeyecek, işe güce giderken rahat ettirecek, konforlu, her yola gelen ve arada bir istediğimde dağa taşa vurabileceğim bir motor. Ben "acaba ne almak gerek" diye düşünürken @ozlem_alakass ın nokta atışı önerisiyle @korlas_official ın distribütörlüğünde Türkiye'ye gelen @fanticmototr i görmeye gittim. Ve evet; görüş o görüş...
