this is the yeom/pyo cousin squad!! these six adult-kids are the bane of their parent's existence, going against most of their conservative upbringing and just living the way they want to. having grown up together, they always stuck by each other at boring weddings and defended each other's likes and interests against some leering relatives. they've got each other's backs, and when counting off the things that make them grateful, the bond these cousins have is definitely one of them. they do get together once in awhile, but it's never a ritualistic thing, they respect each other's spaces but get in each other's businesses when necessary. 

the pyo’s are a family of entertainers. they have been involved in the entertainment industry since the 80′s, and have been an integral part of the k-pop hallyu wave making it’s slow but steady ascent on to the mainstream american media.  they’re in the industry because of family. they were born into it and haven’t had that much difficulty due to the large entertainment company they own. however, the yeom’s are a different story. even with some help from their cousins, they’ve entered the entertainment world because of their own passions, and have stayed there for that reason. the scrutiny coming from the family was and will always be expected.

yeom is the cousin on her father's side, of which most of their family still lives in seoul, south korea. he and percy/percy's sisters are the youngest cousins of their family, so they're pretty detached from their side of the family. this is the reason why he has grown up around percy's mother's side since it's only his family and percy's family that are yeom's in america. 

the pyo's, on the other hand, are all third generation korean americans who's family is mostly based in california. pyo [1] and pyo [3] are siblings, coming from percy's mother's first brother.

the family is always coming around to have family dinner/picnics/etc, so they're very close and have mostly grown up in los angeles. yeom grew up with percy's mom's side, so he's close to the pyo's as well. faces are completely open just as long as they are ethnically korean  and fit the age range - suggestions are simply suggestions! you're free to replace any spots with a nb character!

percy yeom / 22, female, taken, seulgi kang / one of the ones in the group considered to be a 'black sheep' amongst extended family, percy really just wants to live her life and be happy with what she does. she's often noted with disdain from nosy aunts who consider her choices in life unfavorable (nontraditional career choices, not conforming to femininity, often openly stating she doesn't want to marry). she gets along with cousins particularly well though and is often a catalyst for her more traditionally inclined cousins to do what they want for their own happiness. really, all she wants to do is sleep in peace.

wilfred 'will' pyo** / 21, male, taken, joohyuk nam / the favourite for aunts to fawn over and such ("oh, haneul you're so polite!" "what a handsome man you've grown to be!") will is honestly just too nice for his own good. he doesn't care much for the family that he doesn't trust, but knows when to put on a face to face them and be nice enough to fly under the radar and avoid any drama. he loves his group of cousins with a burning passion and would do most anything for them, which usually means he becomes the lackey when preparing a family dinner/event. *younger brother to pyo[2]
