Day 9 of #fallhomesteadshare , fireside. I wish I was sitting fireside right now but maybe tomorrow night. Today I spent 12 hours vending at a craft show and tomorrow another 12 hours but there's no school.on Monday so I may sit out tomorrow night and enjoy a fire in the pit before it's too cold to be outside really. Day 4 of the #fallhomesteadshare A little late on thispost but we had a busy day. This is what autumn looks like where I live, some autumn color and still loads of green grass. I really wish we could get iconic autumns and winters here but we average low to mid 40s on cold cold days. Rarely freezes here. I wish I had a recipe or something of siginificance today but this is what I have. After spending half the day and a dermatologist having aprecancerous skin tag thing removed then fighting with the school on some bs they are trying to pull, im just to damn tired to. Day 7 of the #fallhomesteadshare Today is hat for the homestead share. I, myself, am not a big fan of wearing hats but that doesn't stop me from making tons of them both cro get and knit. This is one I just finished. The yarn is a vintage red heart that is not longer made. Found a picnic basket at good will full of yarn and it had 4 skeins of this in it. Now, ear warmers / headbands, those are my jam. This one I'm wearing is a lightweight grey twisted ear warmer. The yarn I used is very thin and soft so it makes it warm enough for cool autumn mornings but not to heavy that it couldn't be worn throughout the day. Both of these will be available at the craft show I will be at this weekend at the #Oildorado festival in Taft. Day 6 #fallhomesteadshare This is around the time of year these adorable creatures that entertain me on really hot summer nights when I'm outside at 2am trying to cool off, start to find burrows or make them for winter. We don't get really cold here on comparison to most other places in the world. Here's to hoping for double population in my area for these little guys.
