Logan let her eyes rest on the kids as they sat at the tables getting their faces painted. “You think the paint I already put on their face would have been enough.” She teased, telling the person next to her. Her eyes then drifted over to her husband who was with their eldest while she was getting her face painted. It was still surreal to see him up and walking when she thought he was never going to get out of that hospital bed. She breathed in as she turned her head to look over at the person standing next to her. “How have you been? It’s been a while.”

Arielle had put a twist on her Halloween costume only to make Owen stutter a little. In the last few weeks the two of them had been exploring their relationship, the two of them had held off on taking it to the next level because it was such a serious step and a line the two of them couldn’t come back from once they crossed it. Although, it was also hard not to take things further because every single time her lips touched Owen’s, she had butterflies and it instantly ignited her body in ways no one else had ever done to her before. She walked over towards him, seeing him in his little yellow jacket, waiting for her. She closed the distance between them, moving her hand to the back of his neck and leaning up to press a kiss against his lips.

Jack glanced around at the tall corn around them, furrowing his eyebrows before turning back to Dalia. “Ok, so like, I know we thought it would be fun to just go in with our eyes closed and turn around a few times before trying to find our way back” Jack said with a slight grin “But you know I’m shit with directions, so this might not be the quickest endeavor”. He walked forward to peer around one of the corners, but saw that there was no one else around. “And looks like whoever came in before us is already further ahead, so, it’s gonna be a fun time” Jack laughed

It was time to come out of hiding (although town event’s felt jinxed at this point), so Abigail dressed up in last year’s costume and headed out. She got the day off work last minute and had no time to call anyone to join her but she wasn’t sure if anyone would pick up after she had been ignoring almost everyone in her life. Not Marcos though, something about her changed after she showed up at his house late that one time. The act felt like an act of rebellion and like she was revolting against a life in which every step was planned out. She wanted more of that (and more of him). Abigail was smiling before she even reached him. “I have to admit that I was half expecting to run into you wearing a little police officer number. Color me impressed, M.”

Logan walked along side of her husband, knowing she would have to spill the beans about the baby sooner rather than later but all she wanted was for the four them to be happy for a little bit of time before they had to go through the next hurdle. After the birth of Theo she knew how unhappy her siblings would be to know she was willing to risk her life for another child but she couldn’t help it. Her big family was everything she ever wanted and now that her husband was in the clear... well, it just felt like they all deserved to be happy. Her head turned to look over to him as she pressed her lips together, holding a little bag in her hand. “I got you something...”

Jack leaned against one of the walls, feeling the bass of the music reverberate through him. He closed his eyes for a moment, letting the chaos around him help to quiet his mind. Jack opened his eyes again, taking a sip of his drink-it was his second one, and the alcohol content was starting to hit him, but not too much yet. He glanced around at those around him, spotting many familiar faces, but that wasn’t what he was really looking for. He didn’t want to deal with people he knew that well right now, he wanted someone new, who didn’t know him or his story. His eyes fell on a blonde, who Jack didn’t recognize, and she looked like she was having a great time. Jack made his way over, dodging a few people who called out to him, planning to use the excuse that the music was too loud if they questioned it. “Howdy” Jack said with a smile, tipping his hat at her. “I don’t think we’ve been introduced, which needs to be rectified immediately if you ask me. The name’s Jack”
