I see some wanted to see me write for these two again ! Yes again, I have wrote about these two in Polyamorous relationship before !

If you're new here, This is the first fic i wrote about them !

One who's afraid of his own sorcery, never trusting his own powers. One who never talked about himself, also avoiding talking about his past.

There is some rumors going around the village said that if you ever went into the forbidden forest, you'll be eaten alive by demons, yokais, evil spirits.

Some said there is a Demon that have inhumane height, big wings, accompanied with a Sorcerer that have a high intelligence of dark magic. Some said that they're both are always together, if you see one, the other is definitely nearby.

And you were quite curious of that, some said it's a myth, some said it's true. You thought that it would be a good idea to see if it's true or not.

Here you are now, walking down the path, bought nothing but yourself and a lantern. You thought you'll just go through this forest for an hour or so before going back to the village, and everything goes according to plan !

Nothing happened,

You did got lost for quite awhile, but you manage to return back to the village in one piece. You're a bit disappointed upon the discovery, nothing happened when you entered the forbidden forest.

So you went to visit again the next day, the same exact hour, and again you walked out still disappointed. Nothing happened, you went on doing it for a whole week, and all of those days you wasted at night only filled with disappointment.

One day, you were having a quite hassle at your workplace. Not only that, even in your household. That is your worst day in the week, you went out to take a breather at night, you didn't even realize where your foot is taking you until you're standing in the middle of an open space in the fortunately familiar forest.

You turned, to see you're surrounded by trees, and trees. Of course, because you're in a forest, until you realized that a path slowly opens before you. The trees moved, opening a path for you leading to a well kept house at the distance. You hesitantly walked down the path, as you get closer, you didn't realize the trees behind you closed the path behind you.

The moon shines bright above you, shining down upon the house and you. Who' standing before the house, entranced by the beauty of the surroundings. Sakura trees bloomed around the house, rocky path before you leading to the sliding door, the side is a small wellspring where people usually wash their hands and mouth for to purify themselves before approaching the shrine.

You can hear the water flowing, the sakura trees rustling against each other. It was so peaceful, it made you don't want to leave this beautiful place.

Until you heard a loud thud behind you, soon followed with a low growl. Your body frozen, refuses to move, your feet refuses to take a step, you slowly turn around to see a tall, large being, staring down at you, his lips parted slightly, emitting smokes, and his large wings flapping slightly on his back made your body shiver.

Your eyes met with the beast, the Demon. It approaches you, oh so slowly. Making you falter, and fell down. Earning another growl from the Demon in front of you, soon you felt your back hit something. You look up to see a figure looming down over you, smiling.

"Well well, an unexpected guest..!" The male with a beautiful, long, raven hair slowly slides over from his shoulder, some hitting your shoulder, he leaned away and whispered an apology for his hair.

"Apologies, my hair is quite a hassle," He started as he kneeled next to you, looking at you curiously. "You know you could've got consumed if I came late" The male with a long raven hair, that have a rather unique iconic yellow hair at the left side.

His eyes are violet, it's so enchanting to stare at. The long raven haired male glanced over at the beast who had stopped moving, 10 feet away from you. "You should thank me for coming at the right moment before you're consumed by him" he chuckled before slowly standing back up again and stared down at you.

The demon took a step next to the long raven haired male, "I believe you already know what we are? Especially from those, rumors going on around your village" His violet eyes stares back into yours. He smiled, his smile is quite unique. It made your heart skipped a beat.

And then realization falls before you, you stared at the large figure behind this beautiful man who have such a long raven hair that's mixed with purple, pink and yellow.

These two are the two figures that the villagers mentioned,

The Demon and The Sorcerer.

"I, I'm sorry for disturbing you two, I," You glanced down upon yourself, "My head was in distraught, I had a bad day today. I didn't even realize where my foot is taking me" You started rambling. The two didn't say anything, they just silently stare at you.

"Shu" You glanced back up, "Huh?" "Shu Yamino, that's my name" He introduced himself. "And this," his hand extended to the side, pointing at the figure near him. "This is Vox Akuma." Shu introduced the other, "We'll let you stay, just for tonight since it's dangerous for someone like you, a human to wander around this forest at night"

Soon, the large figure behind Shu, Vox, slowly getting engulfed by smoke around him. And then when he stepped out, he is a whole different being. His golden eyes pierced into yours, his two horns on his forehead made him look appealing.

"Truly, I would've eaten you up if it was not for Shu stopping me from doing so." Your body shivers when you heard his low husky voice, "Go rest Human, Tomorrow morning you should be already in your room" Vox said before walking pass you, and stopped a few steps behind you.

"Don't think we don't know what you're doing last week" He said before disappearing into the house, Shu who had been standing quietly finally let out a small chuckle. "Apologies, he usually don't act that way, perhaps he just doesn't want to repeat the same incident" He said as he helped you get off from the ground.

"Incident?" The Sorcerer smiled agitatedly, "Whoops, I said too much," he said as he then start walking towards the house, "Come, I'll show you the room you're staying in for the night."

You hesitantly followed Shu, walking down the wooden floors, sometimes it creaked sometimes it doesn't. As you followed him, you noticed that this house is pretty decent, like how houses should normally be.

These type of houses usually would be owned by rich people, but to see such house in the forbidden forest made you wonder, your train of thoughts was come to a stop by a voice coming from the male before you.

"Stay curious, but try not to find out about your curiosity." The Sorcerer turned his head a bit, looking at you over his shoulder, his identic smile appeared once more. "You should be thankful you're alive right now, you could've been a whole feast for us" he chuckled softly at his questionable statement, "O, Okay" You replied, and then Shu slides the door next to him, "Here is your room, do avoid to wander around the house, okay?" He said as he wait for you to step into the room.

"Then again, humans are stubborn, if you want to wander around, go ahead," He said, his violet eyes no longer look friendly, "But this time I do not guarantee your safety." He said before his friendly face appeared again within a blink. "Well then, Goodbye, human" He said as he bow slightly before sliding the door close.

Leaving you alone in the room, it looks pretty cozy, with the table in the middle of the room, and then a vase on it, along with a futon folded up at the corner. The moon shines through the window, making the room look quite. Lonely.

You sat near the window and looked up at the night sky, at the moon who high up in the dark sky. Accompanied by the stars around it,

It's beautiful.

Your thoughts now goes back to those two, The demon and The Sorcerer. They look like they're not quite fond with humans, especially Vox, he seems to despise you.

Shu seems more friendlier, but he, there is something wrong with him that doesn't click right on you. It's like, he is physically there, but also not there.

Your eyes slowly gets drowsy, but before you fell asleep on the window, you get to the futon, opening them, and you just scoot into the futon. The moment your head hits the pillow, you're out cold.

Birds chirping outside, you opened your eyes to see a familiar ceiling, you looked around.

It's your room.

It's exactly like Vox said, you're now back into your room, you don't know how they did it, but one thing is that, You want to see them again, will fate let you see them again?

Will they let you see them again? Question after question kept on appearing one after another, you want to see them, but do they want to see you?

You sighed at the thought and went on your day with them plaguing your thoughts.

Night arrives and your stubborn self standing outside the forbidden forest, holding a latern. But before you step into the forest, you heard a familiar voice.

"Foolish human"

"Haha, you're a stubborn one, I thought the warning is enough, don't you value your life?"

You turned to see where the voice coming from, nowhere, and then you look up at one of the trees, you see a familiar raven purple hair dangling, then a violet eyes staring back into yours from the dark.

Then under the tree there's a piercing golden eyes looking back into yours too, but then those eyes slowly turned pink, and then there' smoke emits from the dark.

The familiar large figure looms out from the dark, you didn't realize your hands clenched onto your latern so tightly, "Do you know what you're getting yourself into, human?" The demon's voice growled as he stand tall under the shades.

"No, I don't, or maybe I do" You said as you look at these two who's in the shades, "Turn back, don't make things more difficult than it already is." Shu's enchanting voice demanded, "You wouldn't want to know what's going on inside this forest now" he continued and let out a chuckle.

"Let them be Shu, humans are stubborn, if they want to die then let them die." Vox turned around and walked away, soon Shu jumped down from the tree and stares at you, smiling. Though his eyes isn't.

And then you blinked, and Shu is standing right before you, his face right next to your ears, making your breath hitched. "You are nothing but food to those beings in the forest, if you want to be feasted on that badly then go ahead. Both I and Vox told you to stay away for your own safety." He leaned back a bit, you both stared at each other.

Shu's gloved hand touches your chin, "Someone like you doesn't belong in this hellish place," he whispered, his thumb glaze along the lines of your chin. "But Humans are stubborn by nature, when they want something, they will get them no matter what, no?" He leans dangerously close to your lips.

But then let out a small laugh as he stepped away and walked away from you like he did nothing wrong, leaving you breathless, dumbfounded on the spot.

"If you still insisting on going then go ahead, because this time they're no longer hiding." That is the last thing he said before leaving you alone, you looked around, your legs almost lost it's strength after what the Sorcerer did.

You couldn't forget his scent, he smells rather sweet, and intoxicatingly addictive.

That night you didn't enter the forest, you turned your back on the forest and walked away, you can't forget what Shu did to you that time.

It plays on loop on your head, he was so close to you, you can feel his breath, his scent strokes your nostrils to the addictive amount, his voice sounds enchanting.

Ugh, he is so intoxicating.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months. You didn't visit the forbidden forest like how they wanted you to be, but you'll be lying if you didn't miss them.

One night you went to the forest again, and the same incident happened once more.

"Just when I thought you'll stop coming back forever, of course you're going to return." A familiar husky voice echoed through your eardrums, you tilt your head to the owner of the voice. "Vox.." You whispered his name, as you do he walked out from the shades, taking a few steps before stopping a few feet before you.

His golden eyes bore into yours, he then approached you, closer, and closer. To the point he's so close to you that his figure is looming over you, "Leave," he started.

"While I asked nicely." His eyes soften a slightly, but it disappears as quick as it appeared. "Why do you keep insisting on me leaving, Vox?" You asked him, he' silent. He didn't say anything, instead he leaned his face closer to yours.

"You really want to waste your life? "

His golden eyes stared into yours, filled with so many emotions. He then take a step back and walked away, "We're just trying to not let you waste your life as food, but of course your kind doesn't care and proceed on coming here and become free food to feast on." He said before stopping on his tracks, he looked over his shoulder, "Though if you do want to be food that bad," he trailed off "I could feast on you, and you won't be feeling any pain."

"Ha, how ridiculous Vox" "Tsk, well nevermind then" Vox sighed softly as he eyed Shu who innocently walked out from the dark, smiling at you and then him, "Well, it's nice to see you again human, I thought you're already getting feasted on" he laughed softly.

"It's good to see you still in one piece" He glanced at you, "Though, you came at the worst timing" Shu said as she shove his hands into his sleeves, "Tonight is Red Moon, they're going out to find humans to feast on" he said casually, both his violet eyes glistens under the moonlight, along with Vox's golden eyes staring at yours.

"Well? Do you want to be feasted on? Or do you still want to live?"

"Turn and walk away if you still want to live, or You will be eaten alive right here and now"

"Haha, that sounds so brutal Vox, you could've been a bit more subtle about it"

"Hmh, ..So, what do you choose?"

But before you could have a moment to think, you hear footsteps coming closer to the three of you, all of you turned to see who's approaching.

"Oh.. Uninvited guests" Shu said as he took a step before you, shielding you away from the 'uninvited guests'. Vox at the other hand summoned his katana, "Well I have no plan on sharing." The demon said as he stared at the distance, "Haha, well at least you're sharing with me?"

Both of them talked about sharing and you have no idea what exactly are they talking about, both of them then stopped talking and look back at you.

Shu's violet eyes narrowed, as he smiled at you.

Vox's golden eyes coldly stares into yours, looking at you, like, you're his prey.

Oh dear, what's going to happen to you?

He texted you a few days ago, but seeing you not replying to his messages got him worried.

At first he didn't bother on doing anything, he thought that you probably needed time alone.

But after almost a week no news from you, he decided to go to your humble abode.

Upon arriving at your house, he knocked on the front door.

Nothing happened as he wait for 10 minutes, he then tried to open the front door.

And it's unlocked, that got him even more worried than before.

He never thought he will enter your house without you knowing.

You're probably not aware that your front door is unlocked.

And with that, the hunt of looking for you begins.

Upon knowing that you're cooped up in your room, he gently knocked at the door.

"Hey, are you okay? Your front door was unlocked, I texted you a week ago, but you never responded."

He knocked again just to make sure you heard him.

But hearing no response from the other side, he knocked a bit louder.

No matter how long the silent treatment is, he would never to get himself mad.

He would wait for you to open the door for him, so don't be surprised if you suddenly see him outside your bedroom door.

How did you ended up here?

Oh, right, it's because you have some debts to pay, but you have no money with you.

Weeks of you trying to find a decent job kept failing for some reason, it drives you insane. You never thought the day of you doing some type of dirty job will ever come.

You, who got no choice, decided to dive into the dark side of the internet, the world maybe, trying to see if there's anything, a job you can find with big earnings.

Your eyes scanned through the screen of your phone, and laptop, to see if there's any response to your post upon is there any job out there to get big amount of money without doing much, dirty work.

Hours have passed.

You were about to give up until you see a notification coming from your phone, an anonymous message, asking you, would you like some help to pay your debts?

You opened the message, to see there is more to their message. The anonymous message also included their location to meet up, you were skeptical on going to the location or not.

It could be a fraud. But you did say that any job would be fine as long as it gave you a big money in the end, you would take the risk.

After contemplating for awhile, you finally decided to check out the place tomorrow. Also, just in case, you also bought some taser, and other self protection things.

You will never know what's gonna happen when you're on your way there, the chances of you getting in danger is there. You are literally going to visit an unknown place, of course at least you need some, self protection right?

You are starting to regret you choice on coming over to the location that was sent by the anonymous person. You are walking down the dark alleyway despite the sun is high up in the sky, you looked at your phone once again to see where you're going.

And then you stopped by a building, that is quite, clean also, welcoming? Depsite other buildings that looks not so friendly for you.

You looked around one last time, and checked your phone. It says that you have arrived at the destination, you look around the door, and the walls to see if there's anything, you can press to let the person? Or people inside.

But you didn't find any, so you ended up knocking on the door. There was no response at the first 5 minutes, you knocked again. There is also no reponse, third time is a charm, right?

You were just about to knock again and the door swung open, revealing the person standing behind it. They tilt their head slightly, scanning you from head to toe. "You, .. You're the person who needs their debt to be paid?" You blinked, and slowly nod your head.

"I was, the person in [ ... ], asking for a job— you reached out to me in my dms—" "Oh, come in, I will escort you to his room."

You followed the person, looking around the place, it's very japanese vibe, you can see some of the furnitures, walls, doors are built like a Japanese old houses. Not to mention the sweet scent scattered around the place, you noticed that the person took you to the deeper side of the building.

And then they stopped, knocking by the door. Speaking something in Japanese? Not long after you heard a voice coming from behind the door, the person turned to you—

"Inside, he is waiting for you."

He said as he took a step to the side, and slowly opening the door for you. You see a figure inside, though vaguely, since there is a curtain separating you and the person inside.

You stepped into the room, and the door closes behind you. You bit your lower lip as you look at the person behind the curtains, it didn't really let you see exactly how the male looked like. All you can see is just his silhouette, and it's also vaguely too. You can see them because of the dim lighting from his side, you then heard footsteps behind the curtain.

"I heard from my underling you needed to find a job?" His honeyed voice echoed throughout the room, tickling your eardrums with his voice. "Y, Yes, I need to pay my debts— and, I couldn't get any decent job so—" Before you can finish your sentence, you heard a low chuckle from his side.

Made you who had been fiddling with your fingers, and looking on the floor as if it was the most interesting thing in the world, finally looked up.

And then you noticed that the silhouette is standing so close to you, making you inhaled sharply upon the realization how close he is.

"I can give you a job, a simple one even, as long as you don't get caught. You are going to be fine." He said, making you sweat upon his statement, what does he mean caught? What job is he going to offer you? "I'm, I'm sorry but, what job am I working on—?"

"Delivering drugs." He casually said and then the next thing that happened, there is suddenly a gust of smoke slips through the curtains— making you instinctively stepped back, "Don't worry, for now it's just a simple delivery in town." He added.

Is he trying to convince you to deliver drugs for him right now? "Well? It's just a simple job after all," He walked away and you then heard some ruffling from his side. "About your debts, you don't need to worry, they will be paid entirely, guaranteed." He said, now you're contemplating even harder.

So in exchange of delivering drugs for him, you get your debt paid entirely. You stood there for a good minute, trying to think if you should take the risk or not. If you're caught then you'll end up behind bars, and that is something you wished that rather not happened if you actually decided to deliver drugs for this man.

"Okay, Y, you just want me to deliver drugs right? In town?" "Yes, so this means you're accepting the offer?" You bit your lips, you closed your eyes— "Yes.. I accept your offer, you will pay my debts, right?" "Yes, your debts will be paid, don't worry." You heard another low chuckle coming from his side.

"Well, then, I look forward for how you're doing," He hummed softly, you then smelled a sweet scent coming from his side. "You better don't do anything weird, reporting to the police or such, or you will get the consequences.

And I believe you wouldn't like it the slightest, well then, good luck, new recruit."

That was 6 months ago, a lot have happened in that 6 months, there was up and downs. But one thing for sure is that your boss, who's called as Shu Yamino. Kept his words, he paid your debts. Everything was paid after your 3 months of working with him, the drug package is getting bigger and bigger the longer you work for him. And the range of you sending the drugs had gone further from your first month working, it went outside the town. Even countries.

And right now, you're on your way back to meet with Shu, you just got back in town from going abroad to another country to send off some drugs, how did the drug manage to go pass the scan? Only God knows how. At least the drugs are sent away, and delivered safely.

The moment you arrive at the building you are greeted with blood trails, making you quite concerned. But then you remembered what Shu said—

"If you ever see blood in the building, anywhere. Ignore it, your job is simply delivering drugs, you don't need to get yourself involved into other things."

He said so on your first month working with him, and that got your heart skipped a beat thinking about it. That means there is some fighting also, killing? Maybe? Involved in this damn place.

Even after 6 months, you still getting goosebumps on thinking about the bloodbath happening. You took a deep breath as you continue stride forward, trying to ignore the blood trails. But you can no longer ignore them when you realized the blood trail leads to Shu's room.

Did he got hurt?

You pondered upon the thought, you slowly knocked on the door, you heard shuffling inside the room, and after awhile you heard a familiar voice coming from the other side.

"Who is it?" He asked, "It's me" You replied, he then went silent, you know that his silence meant that you can go inside. You slowly opened the door and stepped inside, the smell of iron strokes your nostrils as soon as you went inside.

You never really see how Shu looked like, only some of his underlings saw him, but most of his underlings never saw him personally. That is including you.

You took a deep breath, "The drugs have been delivered," you started off, you didn't hear anything from him for a good minute. "I see, good job. You can take a few days off, you've done well the past 2 months." He said and then you heard another soft shuffling from his side.

"... Um," You blinked, stared at his silhouette behind the curtain. "I, Know you said that I shouldn't get involved in other things other than delivering drugs—" You spat out, "But I can't help it— Are you, okay—"

He did not say anything for a good minute, making you start to regret asking how he's doing. But the next thing you knew you heard footsteps coming closer, and closer and closer.

Eventually you see his silhouette right before you, the one that separates you is just the curtain. "The blood, is the reason why you're worried, no?" He asked barely in a whisper, you hesitantly replied— "Y, Yes.."

You don't know how long this silence had been going, but then slowly you saw his hand go through the curtain, his slender fingers reached out to you from behind the curtain. Silently inviting you to go to his side, you stared at his hand, you don't know where the courage came from—

But you placed your hand on top of his, he then slowly pulled you through the curtains. And you finally can see who you're working for—

Shu Yamino, his raven hair, his piercing purple eyes staring down at you. "It is not my blood." He said, he didn't let your hand go, but you didn't even realize he' still holding your hand.

You couldn't get your eyes away from his eyes, it's so, beautiful, also, tantalizing. It made you feel like you're getting hypnotized, "Are you okay?" He chuckled softly as he dangerously leaned closer to you.

"Huh? O, oh!— I, yes- I'm, okay—" You felt embarrassed upon staring at the man oh so shamelessly, he is your boss! And you just shamelessly stared at him.

He is pretty, you can't really blame yourself upon seeing his, beauty. You looked away from him and took a step away, only to realize that his hold on your hand tightens. "Where are you going, hm?" He asked in a whisper, he then pulled you closer.

The next thing you knew, he blew out some smoke to the side, before he looked back at you. His eyes narrowed slightly, seemingly annoyed with how you stepped away from him.

"I— No where—? I, I should go back home—" You were about to pull your hand away from his hold, only for him to pull you even closer to him, he grabbed your wrist and pulled you in. "Are you scared?" He asked, his face is right beside your ear, whispering huskily at your ear.

"Why are you trying to run away from me?" He asked once more, making your whole body shiver. "I, I don't know—" You replied, you then felt his hand on your lower back, pulling you in even closer than before. Making your hips pressed against his, his other hand brushed against your hair, kissing the tip of your hair as he leaned closer to you.

"Sweet.." He whispered, you realized that his clothing is painted with red, not too much but you can smell the blood iron stroking your nostrils due to how close he is to you. "Sweet..?" You repeated—

"Your scent.." He hummed softly, the next thing you knew, his face buried at the crook of your neck, inhaling your scent.

You don't know what's happening. There is so much happening within a span of a minute, making you confused. Why does he act like this? You never really talked much to him, other than reporting. You two do have small talks before, but it's not much since he seemed to be so busy.

But from what you heard, Shu knew how his underlings looked like, despite them not knowing how he looked like. "I am curious, ..." He whispered, "how long you will last" he added, you then felt his lips brushing against your skin. Making your body shiver once more, "What, ..do you mean?" You asked shakily, trying to breathe properly.

"Not many of my underlings stayed, they either died or getting captured." He added, "But you at the other hand," he sighed. "You handled your job very well, you never underestimate the work that is given." He continued, his hand on your lower back gently moved up and down. As if he's trying to soothe you.

"... I'm sorry, You can leave now" He said, but before literally letting you go, he planted a soft kiss on your neck before stepping away from you.

"You can forget whatever happened just now,

Or..

You can stay. Your choice."

It's been so long since the last I wrote a proper fic omg. It's been 2 months, so much is happening in NijiEn, and there' so much happening on my side of life too.. 😮‍💨

Heavy, Frustration, Fatigue.

Praying to God to end this hell hole you're going through, the week had gone rough on you. Endless work pouring down on you, one after another. You finished one, a new one came in.

Truly, almost no break at all, and now, you're finally free from that hell, though only temporarily. You know very well the moment the weekend ends, you're going to go through hell once more.

You walked and walked, realizing your foot had took you to, seemingly like a bar or some sort. You wandered inside, not expecting much from the place.

And how wrong you are the moment you entered, you're greeted with a cozy place, accompanied with a jazzy music at the back. There's not much of a crowd, but there is some people chattering in a comfortable whisper. Not too loud, but also not too silent.

"Welcome—!" A Soft honeyed voice echoed throughout the place, there are some others glancing towards your way for one second before continuing what they're doing. You look over at the owner of the voice, a male standing behind the bar. Mixing up some drink for somebody, with a unique combination hair color, Raven, Yellow, bits of pink and purple. His Hair is pretty short.

A fine looking bartender.

He smiled towards you, as if you're enchanted, you approached the bar and sat down across him. "Rough week?" He started off and poured the mixed drink into a glass, and pushed them off to the person who ordered. You glanced towards the person, he had a beautiful light blonde, with mix of purplish color by the tips. The Stranger's purple green eyes twinkled as you two made eye contact, he smiled slightly before looking away. And with that you also looked away.

The first thing you see the moment you look away is the bartender wiping up some glass, and looking at you. Seemingly to wait for you to at least, order something. "Would you like to get some drink?" He offered, "Alcohol? Or non alcohol?" He waited.

You thought quite deeply, "Non Alcohol please, Anything that have no alcohol in them. Not in the mood to be drunk at the moment." You said, he chuckled softly, "Okay, I got you." He said and then started grabbing ingredients, and start making a drink for you.

As you waited, your eyes wandered to the Bartender's hand. Silently examining them, watching them move from one thing to another. After awhile, you didn't realize he had finished making a drink for you. He placed the drink in front of you, pushing the glass slowly towards you. He tilted his head and chuckled softly, "You seemed distracted, Does my hands seemed much more interesting than me ?" He asked in a whisper while starting to clean up the things he used to make your drink.

"...N, No...?" You answered, rather, hesitantly also, confused. The bartender chuckled softly, and not long after you arrived, the place started to get crowded, much to your dismay. You stayed on your seat, fiddling with your drink. The bartender you talked with had gone to mix other customers' orders, and there is another bartender came into their shift. Helping the previous bartender, the second bartender seemed much more, talkative. Bringing out a golden retriever energy around him, not to mention his blonde hair.

The two bartenders spoke with each other, you don't know what they're discussing, and all you heard is '700 something'. The crowd truly started to make quite amount of noises, you noticed the blonde bartender seemed to tease the Raven bartender. Making the Raven have pink tints on his cheeks, he then regained his composure again before somehow glancing towards your way.

You blinked, thinking maybe it's just your imagination because it happened only in a matter of seconds. And unfortunately, your drink have come to an end. You slip your money under the glass and decided to take your leave, feeling somebody staring at your figure behind you as you leave the place.

. . .

You don't remember how long has it been since the last you came to that, bar. Oh, it's only been a week. This week doesn't seem as rough as last week, you came to visit the bar with not much weight in mind and not much fatigue.

As soon as you entered, you're greeted by the same previous bartender, "Welcome— Oh it's you!—" He seemed to remember you despite this is your second time, not to mention the crowd last week. The chances for him to remember you is, low, no—?

You approached the bar and took the same seat, he smiled at you, "Same drink?" "Yeah, thanks" He then started making the previous drink he made for you. After awhile, he pushed the glass towards you. "Drink is ready to for you" he said, and not long after that the crowd start to come in.

He once again doing other's orders, and the second bartender came in. Cannot miss this blonde bartender, especially with his Golden retriever vibes around him. How can you miss this gigantic guy?

You noticed that the Raven bartender seemed to be much more on your side than the other, and as soon as you pointed it out, the Raven asked—

"So, How was your week? Rough like before?" He started off, "No, not really, at least it's not as rough as last week." You sighed. "At least it's much better than last week, no?" He chuckled softly, and you noticed that the Raven bartender seemed to slip up some time to talk with you. You appreciate his effort though, the way he smoothly slide to talk with you.

Truly made you skipped a beat, no—?

You don't know how long this had been going on but you somehow got yourself returning to the bar again and again at the weekends, just to see the Raven bartender's unique V shaped smile, and voice whenever he greets you and talked to you for a bit.

Truly missed that voice of his for the whole week before weekends arrive. And you unconsciously, worked harder just so you can always finish early and at the weekends you can enjoy more of your time at the bar.

You believed it has been going on for at least 2 months now, almost every weekend you always visit the bar to have a drink. You visit the bar at least once or twice at the weekends before you have a time for yourself at home, being in the bar itself slowly brings you comfort. The crowd no longer felt overwhelming, the crowd felt decent, the noise is no longer making you feel cramped.

But this month, seems so, packed than usual, you didn't have the time to go visit the bar, and without you realizing it goes on for at least 3 months without you visiting the bar. You had been busy with your work, catching up with deadlines and things. You did take breaks in between, making sure you're not getting overwhelmed with the amount of tasks that you need to do.

And then it went to 4 months. You finally finished your work, and can finally have a long break. You can finally have time for yourself to relax, you look over at the time, its 6 pm. You sighed softly, stretching your arms out before packing up your things and visit the place you haven't visit for awhile.

You wondered if the Raven bartender is still working there, does he still remember you? It's been 4 months after all. You didn't expect much, but it does leave a bit of disappointment for not being able to see the Raven bartender.

Or so you thought—

"Hello, Welcome—... Oh, Welcome back—!" The Raven bartender greeted you behind the bar like usual, mixing up a drink for a customer. You stood still for a moment before smiling at him, "It's been awhile" You said and noticed amongst all chairs thats occupied on the bar, there's one seat opened. As if it was waiting for someone— or you— specifically, to sit on them. You approached the chair and sat down.

"Give me a moment to mix up your drink" He said, you haven't even ordered anything, but it seems like he's reading your mind. You sat there, waiting and watch him move around the bar, making drinks for others and then finally you see a familiar drink he made for you 4 months ago. "Here you go, the usual." He said and wiped his hands, smiling at you.

He cleaned up the things he used and he strike up a conversation, "It's been awhile since the last time I saw you" He started off as he wipe some wet glass. "Yeah.. work had been piling up the past few months" you sighed as you took a sip of the drink he made, "I see, then, how was your days?"

You started talking a lot, telling him what you had been through, if only you noticed how he went as far as telling you to halt for a bit as he made a drink for another customer and when he's done he's talking with you again, though with a little apology for stopping you. But he listened to all of your rants, stories, almost everything. And without you realizing the second bartender, had arrived mostly taking care of other customers at the other side, while the Raven takes care of the costumers on your side. After yapping for who knows how long, you two bid goodbyes.

It was really nice talking with him.

Another new week arrives, and a new pile of work arrives too. And so you did your best to finish them early, you then decided to do your previous routine on going to the bar once or twice a week. It goes on longer than the last time, without you realizing you had been going to the bar for a year.

Everything seems to move fast without you realizing, so many things happened within the year. Both bad and good, you're just happy you could spend the year without stressing everyday.

And it's mostly thanks to The Raven Bartender.

New year had passed, it's weekends, you decided to do the usual routine, visiting the bar.

Upon arriving at the bar you are greeted by the Raven bartender, that you have yet to know his name. But you didn't bother asking because just him, maybe one day, you'll eventually get to know him more than just a bartender.

You sat down at your usual seat, that's always open for you no matter how crowded it is. And as soon as you sit down, a drink is served right before you. As if it was already been waiting for it's time to shine, "Y, You—? Made it before I came here?" You asked, the Raven just chuckled softly. "You never seem to order anything else, and you often visit us at Saturdays, so, I decided to take initiative to make it before you arrive." He added and glanced down at the drink that's now in your hands, "...You didn't need to go that far you know" The male only chuckled.

You two talked for a good time, despite the halt in between, you always enjoy his company. Your eyes unconsciously stick onto his figure, wherever he goes your eyes followed. Whenever your drink is out, he will ask if you want for another. You really favor this drink he made, so sometimes you'll take another drink.

Worse scenario is you take another drink is because you just want to see him work, but we'll talk about that another day.

And then, the Raven bartender slid to your side after making a drink for another costumer, "Hey, can I ask you something?" He started, making you confused but also curious. "Yeah, sure, I don't mind. What is it?"

"...What's, your name?" He finally asked, and you were taken aback at his question, you point at yourself upon his question, he let out a hearty laugh at your reaction, "Yeah, you, what's your name?" He asked once again. "... [ ]" You told him your name, his eyes soften as he repeated your name in a whisper.

Making you feel things when he did so, he chuckled softly upon finally, after a year. To know your name. You just smiled at him, you then started packing up your things before taking up your leave. But when you're about to get up—

"Here," He then slip up a small paper towards you. "I, I hope we can hangout sometimes—" You glanced down at the small paper, you picked it up staring at it confusedly before turning the paper to see numbers— oh wait, it's a phone number.

It's his phone number—! Then below his number there's..

'Shu Yamino'

you look back up to see the Raven bartender, you believed his name is, Shu, had already left to serve other customers, he glanced at you, smiling sheepishly for one moment before looking away.

You felt something inside your stomach, you felt your chest tighten up too. You slip the small paper into your bag before you walk up to the door, glancing to his way before leaving the bar.

. . .

As soon as you got home, you added his number. You sent a hello, though of course it won't be immediately responded because when you left, the Raven bartender is still working. So you left your phone on the table next to your bed, you got yourself cleaned up before you head off to sleep.

In the morning, you opened your phone to check the time, and right below the time you see a notification from Shu.

'Shu Yamino' 5 hours ago

'Hey, sorry I just replied, I just got off from work, haha'

You look at the time once again, it's 7 am. The message was sent 5 hours ago from Shu— and he said he just got off from work??? You, with your heavy, sleepy eyes replied.

'You' just now

'You just got off work at 3 am???'

Not long after you sent the message, you got a reply from the Raven bartender. Telling you that he indeed just got off work at 3 am, his shift must be night shift. That means he's going to sleep soon, you message the Raven bartender and asked when is he going to sleep, it took him a good minute to reply.

'Shu Yamino' Just now

'I am just about to'

You spat an apology towards him and wished him for a good sleep, he said it's okay and eventually he went off to go to sleep.

Seems like you two will now no longer just a Bartender and a Costumer, you two are now friends, right?—

That name, and number exchange. Is a new beginning to your actual friendship, after a year of not knowing each other's name. You two finally knew about the simplest thing about each other, that is your names.

Ever since the exchange, you two started talking way much more via text, and calls too sometimes. New things you learn about him is that, he sometimes play games when he's not on his shift. That's one thing for sure, who would've thought a bartender is also a gamer.

Day by day, you learn new things about him.

Until one day, you two finally had the perfect time to do an actual face to face hangout, other than meeting up by the bar at the weekends. You two finally decided to hangout by the mall, and you saw him outside his bartender suit for the first time.

Just him in a casual clothing, "Hey, we finally got the time to hangout now huh?" He stated, making you chuckle. "Yeah, after how many attempts?.." you tried to recall how many attempts you two tried to hangout and then you two started walking around the mall, talking and chattering. And eventually stopping by at a restaurant before starting heading to the arcade.

After eating you two headed to the arcade, playing so many types of games in there with him, but most of your time with him is playing multiplayer shooting game. And heaven's, he is carrying you in game. Having much more kill than you, you two had fun though.

Eventually the day had come to an end, Shu decided to give you a company when you're on your way back home. "You don't need to trouble yourself this far you know," You stated and glance at him, "It's fine, I rather see you get home safely." He replied, letting out a chuckle.

You two walked in silence, not awkward but comfortable one somehow. You don't know why, the silence is comforting. All you could hear is just each other's footsteps, you don't know why but it felt so long to get home when walking with him.

The moment you arrive at your humble abode, you turned to see him standing near you, smiling with that identic smile of his. "Go in, I'll leave when you went inside" he suggested, you nod and did exactly what he said.

After you went inside, you peek through the window, and you two made eye contact for one moment, he then chuckled before waving at you and walked away. You felt something, weird. As you see his figure retreating by the distance, he looks. Lonely.

You shook your head, you're exaggerating.

Right?—...

Days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, your friendship with the bartender had changed in so many ways, you've learned so much about him, one is from the second blonde bartender is actually his friend, and almost half of the crowd at the bar is actually his colleagues, truly surprises you.

You even got a chance to meet with them outside that bar, becoming friends with them too. They're such a sweethearts, who would've thought the day you're stressing out and by chance your foot just decide to take you to the bar.

If your foot didn't do that, you wouldn't even be in this position. To be friends with a bartender, some of his friends even teased you and Shu for being together a lot. Poor male got flustered by it.

Today is weekend, and you decided to visit the bar like usual, entering the bar, greeted by Shu himself, and then some of his friends that's already in the bar. Nodding their head towards you as a hello, some also smiled at you as a greeting.

You sat on the same spot, and your drink is immediately served right in front of you. "Thanks" You thanked the Raven bartender and he smiled back at you, not long after that the second bartender entered. The sunshine he is, he brushed pass you and had his hand on your shoulder for one moment as a greeting before he walks into the staff room.

After awhile, after serving a lot of customers, Shu had a short break, and he approached you. "So," he started off and chuckled softly, "I believe you're enjoying yourself at the bar now, or am I wrong?" You shook your head, "I enjoy my time here, all the time." You added and chuckled. "Good to know.." he said, there was a long silence before he decided to ask something—

"Hey, do you think.." He stopped half sentence and glanced at the glass he's holding, he stopped wiping them for a moment. "... Do you think, I, .. uhm, had a chance?" You tilt your head confused, "A chance in what?"

It took him a good minute before he spat out the next sentence, and it definitely made your heart skipped a beat—

"..To be—" He stopped for one second, taking a deep breath before he continued— "With you, like— You know, more. Than, we are now..?"

Goodness, it felt like the time had stopped, you stared at Shu, and he slowly rise his head up and look at you in the eyes. He soon looked away, seeing how flushed he is clearly that he wants more than a friendship level with you.

"... You, want to take the friendship to, another level ?" You hesitantly asked, making the male even more flustered than before. He even closed his eyes and took a deep breath to talk! Truly embarrassing himself in working hours now did he..

"... Y, Yeah— Like dating— But, it's fine if—"

"Okay, Let's go on a date tomorrow then."

"I—"

You had made the Raven bartender gone speechless, he opened his mouth slightly before closing them again, he looked averted his eyes, he got one of his hand at the back of his neck, sheepishly looking away from you.

"Then, I'll be, .. Looking forward for our first date tomorrow.." He whispered, totally can't miss that pink hues on his ears, neck and cheeks. Such a cutie.

"Me too, ... You're so cute." You swore you heard a small whine coming out from the Bartender's lips, "Okay... I'll, text you when I'm on my way to, pick you up tomorrow.." he said.

"But we don't even know where we're going—"

"I know a place, don't worry.. I believe both you and me will have memorable and lovely time there.."

You stared at him, and he does too. He smiled softly at you, you noticed there's a loving glint in his purple eyes.

Another new beginning of your relationship, at the same place where you met him the first time. This bar, really changes your life, huh?

You silently thanking fate for letting you two met. Even though it had a rough start, but in the end, everything worked out.

You smiled to yourself and the thought of your first date tomorrow, you wonder how it'll go..

But no matter, where or what it is, you know very well you'll definitely have fun with Shu. That was just a stranger, then a friend, and now,

Your boyfriend.

Shu's hand that held your waist, his thumb directly feeling your skin, slowly crawling up, going further to your chest. The little sound you made is rousing him up, encouraging him to go further.

Shu's hand who find it's place to your cheek, softly grazing his thumb along the lines of your cheekbones, his piercing purple eyes staring back into yours as he did so. Making sure you know that you're at his mercy.

Shu's hands, his touch, is undeniably tantalizing, addicting, breathtaking.

It's been too long, it's been almost a year, I am so sorry.

Also heads-up, it's a long one.

They said.

You don't have to worry about what those two identical beings say.

Is what Shu said, a few days after the last meeting with their identicals, now you're here, doing your daily thing with a feeling of, something called as,

Uneasiness.

You would constantly look around, conscious of your surroundings, afraid someone will suddenly just come over and knocked you out.

Living together with Shu and Vox does feel, safe. The peace you're getting almost made you forgot your already burnt down town, knowing the place that you were born in just burned into ashes just like that made you feel, weak. Powerless to do anything.

Aware of how you couldn't do anything about it, you could only lay down on the futon, with the feeling of guilt wrapped around you. Thoughts of you not meeting these two figures in the forest probably would change the fate of your town, so many thoughts flooded in, the 'what ifs' scenarios going through your head.

You were silent in those few days, got the two worried about your silence. They'll try to coax you into a conversation, but your short responses are enough to tell them that you're not interested in talking.

One night, it was Shu's turn to keep an eye on you, Vox is going out, doing his 'duties', Shu said. You mutter up a courage and decided to ask,

"Shu," You called him out, the raven haired male who was writing stopped and tilt his head towards you, "Hm? Is something wrong?" He eyed you, there's a surprised look on his face, only for a moment before his face goes back to normal again.

"About what those two said, ... I'm sorry, but I couldn't help myself, I kept on thinking about it.." Your apology got the sorcerer put down his writing utensil, he shuffled a bit and you heard a soft sigh coming from him. "It's not your fault, I can understand why you would worry and think about it. Afterall, your home town is now nothing but ashes on the ground." His hues looked at the closed door, he slowly rose up from the ground and slide the door opened.

"I suppose, I, no.. Vox and I, owe you an explanation." He frowned, he then glance at you, smiling apologetically. "Join me?" He asked as he glanced outside, you guessed he wanted to take some fresh air as he explained what's going on with those identical beings' favor.

Soon, you and Shu sat down by the terrace outside your room, the moon shining down on the little garden before you and the sorcerer next to you. "Those two," He started off, getting your attention, you tilt your head towards him as you wait for his explanation.

"My identical self, is called Hikarino. While Vox's called as, Box." He introduced them, "Those two, are polar opposites of us, as if it's not obvious enough." Shu chuckled, though the smile didn't go up to his eyes.

"Those two, hunting down humans for, something called as, immortality." His purple hues reflecting the crescent moon at the night sky, "How does humans have anything to do with immortality, you wonder. It's simply because humans are almost a perfect being to God, no?" You frowned. "I suppose so.." Shu glanced at you, giving you his identic smile.

"We, spiritual beings, are nowhere near perfect, we have what we have now is because..." He stopped, he didn't continue for a good minute before you heard a voice coming from behind you. Giving you a scare, though only for a moment, "Because we, too murder humans." You tilt your head to the owner of the voice, your eyes landed to pair of golden eyes staring back into yours.

"Vox," You and Shu called him in unison, "...Welcome back," You greeted him, and glanced at Shu who looked at you for a moment before looking away from you, with a undescribable expression on his face.

"You two... Murder humans, for immortality too?" You repeated Vox's word, trying to conclude your theory. "To put it bluntly yes, but that was all in the past, we now realize, immortality is truly not what we seek." Vox walked over and silently gesture you to make some space for him to sit down.

And now you're sitting in between the two, Shu on your right, whilr Vox on your left. The three of you look up at the night sky, staring at the crescent moon that conquer the dark skies. "What made you guys realize that, immortality isn't what you're looking for?" You asked, the two was silent for a minute.

"Seeing the world changes, seeing around you from being born into this world, ended to be one with the earth again and again, is not, fun. To say the least." Vox broke the silence, you then heard shu letting out a chuckle next to you. "Fancy hearing that from someone like you," Shu responded, smiling before those small just falls off his face and replaced with a frown after. "Meeting Vox and Making him my familiar, is tough, he was angry at me for taking his death away." Shu explained, glancing at Vox. Earning a sigh from the demon next to you, "I thought you're over from that already."

"As much as I want to let it go, the guilt is still there, you know?" Shu looked down at his gloved hands. He must be reminiscing the day when he revived? Vox. "Utterly helpless." The demon commented. You look over at Shu, you then see him doing a hand motion, and the next second there's a flying shikigami on his palm, floating. The paper then glide towards you, "I'm aware." Shu replied.

"..So did you two get the, immortality..?" You hesitantly asked them, and silence occur once more. "Kind of? Yes but also no?" Shu replied with uncertainty, "I mean, both me, and Vox lived for hundreds of years now. I guess that counts?" The sorcerer continue, he then look over at you.

"Hikarino, Box.. Those two, they exist because of an accident. Their existence shouldn't be physical." Shu added, the frown on his face is so clear that it tells you those two were not suppose to be the way they are. "Those two, are repeating the old history. The old days whereas me, and vox, were so, desperate for such thing as, immortality. Or, me, to be precise since, I am simply a sorcerer." The raven haired male explained and then gesture his finger at the shikigami that has been gliding around you. Eventually it stopped and dissipates into thin air.

"You're thinking about the sacrifice, aren't you?" Shu pointed out, you went silent. The silence was loud, no one is talking, all you heard is just the sound of trees rustling. The sound of crickets somewhere in the distance, and just the moon shining down on you three at the terrace. "If you're thinking of giving yourself to them, absolutely not." Vox cuts the silence, "That is a foolish decision."

"Then is there any other option?!—" Your voice cracked as you unexpectedly raise your voice at Vox' statement, "Weren't they so desperate to get, this sacrifice they wanted? If not human what else?" You look at the two, they simply stare at each other and then Shu's hand reached out to you. Brushing against your hair, "It's nothing about you, trust me." Shu said, barely above whisper. "What?"

"It's late, you should rest, is there a town that you know around? We will send you over there." Shu immediately changed the topic, ignoring the confusion you had on your face. "Don't worry, those two is not something you need to pry into, I know you're starting to regret the encounter we're having." Shu said, immediately drives you into silence. The realization hits you hard that this sorcerer, is aware of your thoughts.

"Tell us where you want to go, and we'll get you there. And we assure you, none of the beasts, yokais will ever land their foot at the place you're living in." The raven added and smiled at you, but his smile didn't reach his eyes. His eyes seemed,

Sad.

It took you 2 days, for telling the two where you want to go, and the next day after they knew where you want to go, they took you to the town you told them about.

Now here you are, standing at the entrance of the town, dead in the night. With the two of them standing not too far from you, you turn to look at them, "What's going to happen to the two of you?" You asked, out of curiosity. And maybe, also concern? You stood there, waiting for their response. There's a good minute of silence before Vox replied, "We're going to be fine," his reply, it seems to be telling you something else. And that is, something along, 'Try not to worry too much, we're none of your concern.'

You frowned at them, but then just sighed. And then you asked them one last question, that you, are for sure, did not expect anything from it. But their faces, says everything.

"Then, will I be able to see you again?" You almost feel like you're asking an illegal question, seeing their faces made your concern rise higher. "Shu? Vox?" You called out, "It's, uncertain." Shu replied, his face, and Vox's, was plastered with a deep frown, and then their faces turn into something undescribable, or maybe, sour?

No, it's not what you think, right?

"Uncertain?? You're going to be okay, like Vox said, right?" You tried not to sound scared, and concerned about their well being. As much as you regret your encounter with them, these two, somehow manage to sit at a special place in your heart.

You've grown fond of them.

"Yes, we will be okay, you should go now. The sun will rise if we stay here any longer, go, don't turn back." Shu said as he gesture you to turn around and walk away, you did, though you sometimes will look back at them, who's still standing on their spot looking at you. After you took a turn into a corner, the two went back, retracing their steps back to their abode with something heavy clinging in their heart.

How long has it been since the last time you saw them?

You are aware the trip of going back to where those two are at, it is quite the trip. But if you're planning to go visit them, it'll be much more dangerous if you decide to make a trip back alone. You then realized how much safer you felt with them around, now that you're living in a new town, living in cautious and fear, though the town folks cannot do anything but have to continue their daily life despite knowing what happened to the other town, your home town. Despite the fear that's surrounding the people around, they at least have their safety guaranteed. Since the patrols in the town is increased, though you know they're nothing compared to those two identical beings shu mentioned.

Hikarino and Box.

They're not human in the first place, after a few days of contemplating, you finally decided to go visit the two. You prepared yourself, for a long trip, you can already imagine how furious Vox's going to be, how Shu can only sigh in defeat upon seeing you again. But something tells you, those two will not greet you kindly.

One,

Two,

Three days.

It took you three days to get to the forest, to the forbidden forest where those two lived, you're now standing by the entrance, nothing much changed from the last time you see it.

You then entered the forest, you walked and walked, but as you do, your guts seemed to be telling you that something is not right. Something must've happened. A bad one even. Your foot started to move faster, you ran. And ran, to where you think you will find the two men.

Your foot then come to a stop, your breathing ragged as you stood there, seeing the familiar house. The trees rustling, greeting you with the feeling of familiarity. You couldn't move your foot, somehow it felt heavy, you slowly took a step closer to the house.

Approaching the house, you arrive at the entrance, your hand hesitantly reach out to the door. You tried to slide them open, but somehow it also felt heavy. After you successfully opened it, you slide inside, closing the door behind you, you trace your steps into the familiar building. Your eyes wander from one room to another, eventually your foot stopped once again as you see a figure sitting by the terrace.

It's Shu.

You see him sitting so gracefully, his hair that was used to be tied up now loose, falling over his shoulders as he sat there, seemingly to be holding something in his arms.

As much as you felt relieved seeing him, you cannot miss how he sit there, all by himself. Something is not right. Something is not right. Your mind repeats the same thing again and again, you approached the sorcerer, oh so slowly. Hesitantly even.

"...S, Shu?" Your voice hoarse, calling out to the raven haired male, you saw his figure stir slightly on the spot. He then slowly turned to you,

You swore, you felt chills down your spine when your eyes stares back into his, that's bare of light. It doesn't bear any emotions, his eyes, they're.

Blank.

When his eyes landed on you, there's a flicker. He seemed a bit taken a back at the sight of you, in their house. Again.

"Why, are you here?" He asked, his voice sounded so hoarse, dry. As if he didn't drink for days, "I, I was, thinking of visiting you and Vox.." You replied, while hesitantly approached him. And eventually sat yourself down next to him, there's silence.

You can hear your heart beating so fast as you sat down next to him, somehow you feel nervous. This silence is not giving the usual comfort, it's so tense. You glance at him, and then at the thing he's holding in his arms—

It's Vox's Katana.

"Where's Vox?—" You asked without you realized it, you immediately put your hand on your lips as soon as you ask the question.

"He got what he wanted." Is all Shu said, looking at you, smiling pitifully. You tilt your head trying to process what he meant, "What... Do you mean by that." You trailed off. Then the realization falls upon you,

...—"Meeting Vox and Making him my familiar, is tough, he was angry at me for taking his death away." Shu explained, glancing at Vox. Earning a sigh from the demon next to you—...

. . .

"No, ...No no, you're telling me,

Vox is, Dead ?"

You stared at Shu, couldn't even comprehend what you're feeling upon knowing the truth. The Sorcerer next to you glanced down at the katana in his arms, and then back up at the moon.

It's full moon,

"Take this, take care of it for him, will you?" Shu said as he offer you Vox's Katana. You almost want to throw that Katana off his hand, but you didn't. You, with your shaky hands, you took the katana off Shu's hand. "Shu.. You two said—" "I'm sorry." He cuts you off, he looked down at his hands.

"I'm sorry for everything," Shu added as he then stared off into the distance, "We shouldn't have kept you here." He continue. Then there's a moment of silence, "But, knowing you, meeting you, was something we did not regret." Shu smiled at you, he then extends his hand towards you.

"Vox had something to say to you.." He said, you stared at his hand, his delicate hand. That you imagined had been dirtied with blood before, you then shook the thought away and hesitantly placed your hand on top of his. Shu gently hold your hand and then closes your eyes with his other hand, "This is his message for you."

. . .

You don't know what happened, but the sound of the trees rustling is no longer heard. All you hear is just the sound of water dripping, you opened your eyes and you saw nothing but void. And then there's a familiar figure standing not too far from you,

You recognize that figure, that back. Without thinking twice, you screamed out—

"Vox—!" The figure turned, his face was originally frowning, but seeing you, there's a sense of relief on his face. "You— You said you two are going to be okay, you liar!" You yelled, not realizing tears had flowed down your cheeks. "You could've said you're going to sacrifice yourself.." You added.

"If I knew the day we part ways were the last day I'll be able to see you—.."

"You wouldn't let me sacrifice myself if you do." His voice echoed throughout the void, you can hear his footsteps approaching you. You didn't move, you had been staring down at the ground, the water below you. Soon you see his figure standing before you, then you saw his hand reaching out to your face. Eventually placed at your cheek and gently he tilted your head upwards. Letting you stared into his golden hues,

You broke into tears.

"Liar." You said in between your tears, "I know," He replied as he graze his thumb gently below your eyes, wiping the tears away. "I'm sorry for not bidding goodbyes with you properly." He whispered, standing even closer to you, "I know you won't forgive me for my actions." He continued, your hand on his chest hitting him as hard as you can. And eventually your strength falters.

Hands clenched into fists, on his chest, you can feel his hand on your wrist, slowly pulling your hand up to his lips. "But this time, forgive me for acting foolish." He said, his words seemed off.

His words, he talked as if you had met him before—

"I don't want to see you perish when you can live a long and happy life." The tears couldn't stop flooding out, he then pulled you into his arms. Letting you cry in his hold, he coos at you. You felt his gentle hand brushing against your hair. Then you felt something soft on top of your head,

He kissed it.

Pulling you away for a bit, he then planted another kiss on your forehead, then another at the corner of your eye. Lowering his head, whilst tilting your head up. His forehead and yours touched, "Forgive me, This time, let me be foolish, let me be the one that give you the happiness you deserve.." He whispered. His thumb graze along the lines of your cheeks as he said so, you sobbed softly. "What if I don't want to—" "Then I deserve it, because I know you won't, but if you do forgive me.." he trailed off, he then shook his head.

The next thing you knew, he then planted his lips on yours. It lasted for almost a minute before he pulled away, "It's time for you to go, I'm sorry, for everything. For my foolishness. I hope you can forgive me next time.." He said as he took a step back, away from you.

And the next thing you knew, your body started to glow, particles started floating around you. You look at the demon in front of you, smiling at you. "Good bye, my love. Until we meet again."

. . .

"Vox—!" You jolted awake, breathing heavily, your hand immediately went to your face that's soaked. You're crying in your, sleep? You then looked over to the side, outside the room, there's Shu, sitting by the terrace, his back facing you. He then turned slightly, looking over at you. "Did you see him?" He asked, his face is so gentle as he shot his question. You immediately went up to him, wrapping your arms around him. It caught him by surprise but then you felt a pair of arms around you, pulling you closer.

"How is it—? Your meeting, with Vox." He whispered, you can feel his hand brushing against the back of your head.

You could only cry again in his arms, not answering him. He coos at you, like how the demon did in that dream.

After a while, you eventually calmed down. You're now sitting next to shu, with his robe dangling over your shoulders. "The sun is rising.." Shu whispered, you who had been looking down blankly at your hands finally tilted your head up. Looking at the orange blue sky, seeing the sun slowly emits from the other end of earth. Your hues reflecting the view in front of you, then you heard a soft chuckle beside you—

"Beautiful as always," He said as he reach out his hand to you, and brushed your hair away from your face. You then saw golden particles coming from your side—

"Shu—" You immediately tilt your head towards him, only to see his body is glowing, like how you were in the dreams, when you see Vox.

Shu smiled at you, though he then dropped his smile and moved closer to you with his hand that was brushing your hair away now to your cheek. He leaned closer and planted a gentle kiss on your lips—

He leaned away and when you're about to touch him, your hand phase through him— "Shu—! Please— not you too...!" You started crying again, he brushed your tears away. It's unfair how he could touch you and you couldn't.

"I'm sorry," He whispered, smiling apologetically at you, and your eyes widen at the sight of him,

Crying.

Too.

His hand still on your cheek, he smiled. "Forgive me, I too have choosen to be foolish." He said, leaning towards you once again, his forehead and yours touched. "I do this because of you, I want you to live a happy life, a happy ending." He whispered, you felt his thumb graze along the lines of your cheeks.

You can only see his body glows brighter as the particles started flying off into the distance, "I'm sorry for leaving you like this," he then smiled at you as he wiped your tears for one last time—

"Until we meet again, My love."

And just like that, he then dissipates into golden particles, away with the wind. Leaving you all alone in their used to be home sweet home, leaving you only Vox's Katana, Shu's household and you in tears.

Your hand holding Vox's Katana tightly as you sob all by yourself, with Shu's robe still clinging onto your shoulders. You watch the sun rises, a new day has come. Yet,

It feels like your day just ended.

You soon joined him on the bed, "Mysta..?" You called out to him as you gently pat his arm. Earning a hum from him, "What's wrong?" You asked him, but you didn't receive anything, instead just him suddenly pulling you to the bed and hugged you. Making you shocked at the sudden movement from him, you blinked and wrapped your arms around him. You pondered, trying to figure out the reason why he acted this way.

And almost all of them leads to one thing.

"Okay, that means you've been eavesdropping my conversation with Ren." You said as you approached him and sat down next to him, he didn't even look at you, just staring at the tv, arms still crossed. You tilt your head a bit as you stare at him, "Kyoo..?" You called him out, only earning a hum from him.

You pout at him and frowned a bit, before a smirk slowly creep up to your face, "Kyooo~...?" He glances at you, oh he knows that face. The face you made when you've figured out something's wrong about him, "are you jealooouus..?" You asked him, he took a deep breath,

"Huh? Me? Jealous? You're just imagining it, ain't no way I am jealous, why should i be jealous over Ren-" Your smirk widen and you laughed at him, "I didn't even mention names!" And then he internally facepalming himself. You see him slowly dropping his arms, he looked away slightly embarrassed.

You continue on laughing, and the next thing you knew you're pulled towards him and his lips are collided with yours, earning a soft moan from you.

He pulled away and gently pull you to his lap, "Shouldn't have pulled that hard, sorry" he whispered an apology as he then gently wrapped his arms around your waist. Hugging you, a bit tight.

You chuckled softly and softly brush his hair with your fingers, "Kyo look at me" you said, and he did. As soon as he looked up at you, you kissed him.

But then, slowly the kiss turned into a whole make out, you're not complaining about it. Kyo leaned away, your breathing slightly ragged, "Come on Kyo.. You can do better than that-"
