Mordecai Fowler Ham Jr., was an American Independent Baptist evangelist and temperance movement leader.

1)Revival Meetings: Mordecai Ham conducted numerous revival meetings throughout the United States, particularly in the Southern states, during the first half of the 20th century. These meetings were characterized by fervent preaching, emotional worship, and a focus on personal salvation.

2) Famous Convert: Billy Graham: One of the most notable aspects of Mordecai Ham's legacy is his influence on a young Billy Graham. In 1934, Billy Graham attended one of Ham's revival meetings in Charlotte, North Carolina, and made a commitment to Christianity during that event. This encounter played a pivotal role in shaping Graham's future as one of the most well-known Christian evangelists in the world.

3) Controversial Methods: Ham was known for using strong and controversial language during his sermons. His preaching style was passionate and sometimes fiery, which led to both acclaim and criticism. Despite the controversy, his charismatic approach drew large crowds to his revival meetings.

4) Educational Background: Mordecai Ham attended Wake Forest College (now Wake Forest University) in North Carolina. He initially aspired to become a lawyer but later felt a calling to Christian ministry, leading to his decision to become an evangelist.

What a blessing it is to see 2018. Many did not make it. Everyday is a a blessing. As I reflect over year 2017, I can say once again I overcame many obstacles, although I'm still fighting, I know my favor and my faith has always gotten me through. Still grateful for those blessings and lessons. One thing I always say is: everything happens for a reason, it is what it is and it's going to be what it is going to be. It is the main reason I look for the good in everything and everyone. I try my hardest not to judge, to forgive, and stay humble. This year my anger about how people are, their lies, and judgement, betrayals, and my lack of patience has been the hardest fight. The enemy will use who and what he can to get to you. Yet I am still learning and trying to stay focus on the bigger picture. I‘m not convinced that I am shy. . But I am often socially awkward. . And that often causes me grief. . Take last weekend. If you will, my grand entrance to international public speaking. . A big honour. . Bringing with it smart clothing (I‘m a tee shirt and jeans gal) which made me a wee but self conscious. . And a message which dug deep into challenges I‘ve overcome. True, overcome. And yet a close call when it comes to vulnerability and intimacy. . Andrea. Raw, not naked. . But I felt bare. . And the biggest surprise? . The week AFTER. . The rising tension in my stomach is unreal. . Over the weekend I will see people from the event likely and it makes me angsty. . It‘s time to take my thoughts captive. Again. Renew my mind. . Why? . If God is with me, who can be against me? . Whom then shall I fear? . Seriously. . No one. . My girl Sarah Jakes Roberts said it best: Lord make the people who are not for me, say things like, "I don't want to call her, she's not fun no more," and when they do, help me not to be wounded. Because if they cannot connect to where I am going then we might as well end it right now. Only YOU know the plans YOU have for me and if they do not fit in the plan, let it end Lord. I am in the season where I can't handle distractions... You're either for me or against me. Being on the fence of where we are kinda friends but not friends... Time for setting up boundaries. You don't have to be connected to me. You're still covered by the blood and have access to the kingdom but just not connected to me. I won't strink to make people more comfortable. I found myself and I'm still learning more each day. One thing people should know is that I am a great investment. Because when you invest in me, your life gets better and you increase because of who I am. I am not living life on my own but I'm living life for a king.
